Cool Swim Meeting is one of the main events of the summer of swimming in Italy. Now in its eighth year, the event will once again bring over 800 athletes and coaches from all over the world to Merano from 13th to 15th of June.

Three days dedicated to painting, immersed in nature, discovering the unique landscapes of the Dolomites. A good occasion to learn or explore the fascinating painting technique of watercolour. Long walks in nature are planned, to discover unique landscapes to depict in a painting (in Italian language). Each participant is responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements. Discovery of Ladin traditions and culture. On a leisurely excursion, we will immerse ourselves in the local world and visit a historical farmstead, seeing archaic but also modern tools used by the locals to carry out various activities. The production of some typical products will also be presented and explained, followed by a tasting session.

Fantastic views, vast natural landscapes and majestic mountains: this is the Dolorama Trail. Our hike takes us on a section of this long-distance hiking trail, from the Würzjoch around the striking Peitlerkofel, to the Schlüterhütte and then to Zans in the Villnöss Dolomite valley. During the hike, we learn exciting facts about the fauna and flora, the geological features of the Dolomites and also about the home of mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner. "The machinist turns the crank, the wagon spins and purrs, a little jerk, then it starts moving..." This is a quote from 1907 when the people from Bozen took the railway Renon (Rittner Bahn) to their summer retreat on the high plateau. Even today, after 113 years, our railway still runs between Maria Himmelfahrt, Oberbozen and Klobenstein as the only narrow-gauge railway in South Tyrol.

The Streicherakacemie Bozen was founded in 1987 by the South Tyrolean Music Association. The idea came from the ensemble's artistic director, violinist and professor at the Bolzano Conservatory, Georg Egger. The String Academy is mainly made up of South Tyrolean musicians who have a wealth of chamber music and orchestral experience in important ensembles at home and abroad and who pass on their experience to young musicians. The String Academy usually performs without a conductor. As some of the musicians are also members of the Klassische Philharmonie Stuttgart, a close collaboration has developed with conductor Frieder Bernius. In addition to the ensemble's summer concerts, the Streicherakademie is also regularly invited to important festivals and concert series such as the Salzburg Mozart Week, the Gustav Mahler Weeks in Toblach and the Engadine Festival Weeks. Nostalgic vehicles combined with a unique pass road and an unrivalled mountain landscape - the Oldtimer Tractor Tour offers all of this. This year, the vintage tractor tour will take place on 21 June 2025 to mark the 200th anniversary of the Stelvio Pass. Organised by the Oldtimer Club Vinschgau with registration from mid-February on the homepage of the Oldtimer Club Vinschgau. Around 300 vintage tractors meet in Prad in June. A unique experience not only for the participants. The spectators are also treated to a fascinating sight as the highly polished gems wind their way from Prad up the 48 hairpin bends to the 2,757 metre high Stilfserjoch. It's not the fastest that wins, but the fastest time.

The Dolomites Bike Day ia a unique kind of Saturday! Cyclists of all abilities can ride together on closed roads, up and down the local mountain cols and passes. The 51km loop is open to anyone: professionals, amateurs, youngsters, and beginners. Even using an e-bike is allowed! On this Saturday, from 8.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. the Dolomites passes roads Campolongo, Falzarego and Valparola will be closed to the traffic and reserved exclusively for cyclists. At the non-competitive cycling event, every cyclist can take part for free. We recommend to ride in counterclockwise direction. During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.

Following the path, you get to the Cir and the Crespëina Pass. The hike continues on a barren plateau, passing the Crespëina lake until reaching the Rifugio Puez. The splendid descent back to Selva di Val Gardena leads you through the marvelous Vallunga with the picturesque S. 40 YEARS OF THE MERANO HIGH MOUNTAIN TRAIL This impressive hike along the historic Merano High Mountain Trail is a journey through time on one of the oldest high-altitude trails in the Alps. Upon arrival at the Texelbahn cable car mountain station, breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Merano basin unfold. The historic trail, once an important connection between mountain farms, leads past original alpine farms and lush mountain meadows. Particularly captivating are the expansive views of the Ziel Valley and the surrounding peaks of the Texel Group Nature Park.
