Seven lakes - Guided seven-lake tour in Ridnaun

Ratschings/Racines, Sterzing/Vipiteno and environs

The "Seven Lakes Tour" is a demanding but truly rewarding hike in the Ridnaun high mountains. We save the first two hours and 600 metres in altitude thanks to the shuttle that takes us from Maiern to the Moarerbergalm. From there we dive into the unmistakable world of the glacier lakes, in whose mostly calm surface shimmering sky spectacles are impressively reflected. For thousands of years, the lakes have been witnesses to the glacial world of the Ice Age. On our circular hike we enjoy the dreamlike view of the Moarer Weißen, also called the Ridnaun Dolomites. Ascent: 2h - 600 vertical meters and 3km (moderately steep) Descent: 4 to 6 hours - 1,350 vertical meters and 11 km (steep and bumpy) A break is made halfway along the Trüber See lake with your own provisions, no stop at a hut is planned. The hike only takes place in optimal weather conditions! Surefootedness, good stamina and a head for heights are necessary for some short passages!

SAAC Bike Camp

With the right know-how and the right equipment, the risk of an accident can be reduced or avoided - the certified guides from SAAC show you on the bike what is important in terms of accident prevention. Both theoretically and practically, the participants are taught the most important safety aspects, a correct riding technique and the right choice of material and equipment. Therefore, on 12/07 and 13/07/2025, and on 04/10 and 05/10/2025, every bike-interested person has the opportunity to deepen his knowledge and to refine his technique. A "special edition" of the SAAC Bike Camp will take place too on Kronplatz/Plan de Corones, namely the "Girlpower Bike Camp", especially for women. Anyone who is at least 14 years old and wants to expand and force his bike awareness can participate!

Junior Enduro Bike Week

Your adventure week on the 3 Countries Enduro Trails! The main part of this week is spent exploring the region on the bike. Trained guides teach boys and girls aged 11 to 15 many tips and tricks in open terrain and on single trails. Among other things, trail basics such as balancing correctly, braking, riding on and over steps, climbing and descending, etc. are refined during this week and what is learned is put into practice on the 3 Länder Enduro Trails. In addition to the 3 country enduro trails, you can expect other great activities such as a first aid course, trail building and a bike workshop.

At the 'Bauer am Stein' farm in Foiana 70 goats white goats stretch out towards you, waiting to be stroked. Farmer Karin explains how these lively ruminants are fed, milked and cared for. As true gourmets they prefer to eat fresh grass and leaves, but they also get some tasty snacks made especially for them. After the birth of the first kid, the mother goat gives milk. She is milked twice a day and, unlike cows, has an cows, she has an udder with only two teats. If you want, you can taste the milk, also called 'white gold'. From Laion, we take the public bus to Ortisei. Our tour begins with a ride on the funicular to the Resciesa mount. From the mountain station, we take the path to Cason alpine hut, where we have dinner (not included). After dinner, we hike with our guide Herbert to the summit cross of Resciesa, at an altitude of 2,280 metres. There we can enjoy a breathtaking sunset. After sunset we descend to the “Ramitzler Schwaige” hut, where the taxi takes us back to Laion. Height difference in ascent: 160 m Height difference in descent: 440 m Distance: 5,6 km
