But Mondinelli is not only a man of the mountains: he is also a tireless promoter of humanitarian projects, particularly in Nepal, where he has built schools and supported local development. We invite you to a special evening in his company, during which he will share his extraordinary experiences among the highest peaks in the world, moments of hardship, life choices, and the deep meaning of his relationship with the mountains. An unmissable event for those who love the mountains, a life lived with passion, and stories that inspire. The Giro delle Dolomiti, in its 48th edition from July 21-25, 2025, returns to the great Dolomite classics on the territories of South Tyrol and Trentino. Each stage (5 in total) will feature, a mountain time trial that will help determine the overall winner. For the rest of the route, you will pedal in a speed-controlled peloton. For five days cyclists ‘may’ explore the Dolomites and some of the most beautiful Alpine passes in the saddle of their racing bikes. The first stage (75km/1529m of altitude difference) will take them on Monday, 21 July from the Fiera Bolzano, which will remain the logistical centre, via Ora and Aldino to the pilgrimage site of Maria Weißenstein and from there back via Nova Ponente and the Val d'Ega. Just one day later, the notorious Sellaronda will be tackled from Ponte Gardena, which with a length of 107 kilometres and 3100 metres of altitude difference is without doubt the queen's stage. Two pass crossings that are very well-known among cyclists will also be faced on the 92km long section with 1691 metres of altitude difference on Wednesday, 23 July. These are the Passo della Mendola and the Passo della Palade, which will be explored from Bolzano again this time. On Thursday, the cyclists will head to the Vinschgau Valley. Starting in Prato, they will tackle the Stelvio Pass, one of the queens of the Alps, and not just because of the 48 hairpin bends on the South Tyrolean side. The Giro delle Dolomiti 2025 will conclude on Friday, 25 July on the Alpe di Siusi (80km/1775m of altitude difference), the largest plateau in Europe. In the afternoon, the traditional award ceremony will take place at the Fiera Bolzano, where the participants will hopefully look back on many unforgettable moments on the 411 kilometres with 9577 metres of altitude difference.

When walking in nature with your eyes open, you will find lots of materials that can be used to create surprising things. In the small workshop in the centre of Ortisei, pebbles, moss, seeds, wood, leaves, pinecones, and other natural materials are used to build small works of art together with the children. Thanks to this workshop the creations can be taken home and remind even after the holidays what great things can be made with such simple materials and a little imagination. During the workshop we build together a new home for useful insects made of natural materials. All children are welcome to participate. The price will be 15,00€ - 20,00€.

From here, we hike through larch forest to the tree line and continue over slightly rocky terrain to the Lauwand weather cross with its great views. Our adventure continues with an excursion to Lake Toblach. During this hike we can immerse ourselves deeply in nature and learn a lot about it. What are plecoptera larvae? What does their presence indicate? Which animals live in the forest? Do carnivorous plants also exist in the mountains? Many topics will be covered. Each participant will be given an observation magnifier, do you know it? These are useful jars with a magnifying glass on the lid, an indispensable tool for field research. A true Ranger cannot do without one! In the afternoon, back at the Visitor Centre, there will finally be the awarding of the Dolomiti Ranger diplomas!
