Pre-Christmas Events in Terento.
We want to bring children, families and guests closer to rural culture and traditions on the topic of Christmas. The trail leads from the decorated village centre to the town hall with cookie baking for children, to the crib exhibition and to the Christmas market. Handicraft products are offered at different stalls on the playground. The Christmas experience continues along the trail lit by torchlights and candlelight with special light effects to the "Stockner Waldile" forest, where rural specialities are offered in traditional huts. Fairytales and stories for children are told around the campfire in front of a big Christmas crib and a petting zoo.

Hosting its home games at the Pranives ice arena in Selva Val Gardena, the team provides emerging players with valuable experience while keeping the local hockey tradition alive. And on February 7th, 2026, the event continues at the Alpin Chalet Rosskopf with another day full of music, fun, and winter energy. The Ritten Arena, a special venue for races at 1,100 m altitude boasting a stunning view, is a delight for athletes and fans alike. The ice rink is its piece de resistance and the fastest outdoor rink
in the world. Professional athletes and competitive teams come here for regular training and to race. The Ritten Arena is the home of the internationally successful ice hockey team, the Rittner Buam, and venue of the Continental Cup. At the weekend, the surface can be used by the general public when no races are on

Into the silence - a silent snowshoe hike

From San Candido we take the minibus or private cars via Santa Maria to Monte Rota. Here, we start our circular hike through snowy forest clearings with breath-taking views of the Dolomites. We learn to recognise animal tracks in the snow, to read scats and to assign vomit to specific animals.
