During Alm Advent, the Fane Alm transform into a cozy place filled with festive anticipation on all Advent Sundays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Visitors can look forward to mulled wine, South Tyrolean specialties, a lovingly designed children’s program with crafting and storytelling, as well as stalls offering homemade products.
Each Advent Sunday features its own special highlight:
On the 1st Sunday of Advent (30/11/2025), an alpine devotion takes place at 2 pm, accompanied by a four-part choir and then the brass ensemble of the Valles music band.
On the 2nd Sunday of Advent (07/12/2025), St. Nicholas visits the hut at 2 pm, with musical accompaniment by the Terento men’s choir.
On the 3rd Sunday of Advent (14/12/2025), the brass ensemble of the Rodeneck music band provides contemplative music.
The 4th Sunday of Advent (21/12/2025) is accompanied musically by Thomas Mahlknecht and Johannes Oberhofer
A heartwarming Advent experience for young and old alike!
The event Christmas in Taisten transforms the new village square in Taisten into a warm and festive meeting place. Traditional customs, music and regional specialties create a peaceful yet lively Advent atmosphere across several event days. Saturday, 06 December: St. Nicholas celebration: at 05:00 p.m. St. Nicholas arrives from St. George’s Church (Keila) to the village square with gift giving, hot dogs, roasted chestnuts and warm drinks. Sunday, 14 December: from 09:30 a.m. to 03:00 p.m. festive brunch with soups and hot dogs, guessing game with the chance to win 4 Guggenberg day passes! Brass music and children’s cinema in the heated tent; Christmas market with local handicrafts. Tuesday, 23 December: from 05:00 p.m. hot drinks and goulash soup together with the Taistner Gaslkrocha and Flott Xung.
During the culinary winter-weeks "The Alpine Table", numerous mountain huts across the holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal invite you to experience alpine cuisine at its most authentic. From 14–21 December 2025 and 15–22 March 2026, participating huts serve special dishes prepared exclusively with regional ingredients and offered outside the regular menu. Each hut interprets local products in its own unique way, creating unforgettable moments of culinary enjoyment in the heart of the winter paradise. A culinary experience that harmoniously combines tradition, regionality, and the cozy atmosphere of winter mountain huts.

Every Sunday during winter, he opens his world and invites you to experience his art, nature, and spirituality up close.
Among painted stones, antlers, totem poles, wood, and found objects, art and nature merge into a truly unique experience.
There’s no fixed program – Lorenz Kuntner is simply there: to be seen, to inspire wonder, and to meet people.
You can ask him questions, explore his works, or watch his creative process.
