Advent event in Steinhaus/Ahrntal valley: nativity scene exhibition, got drinks and music

We look forward to welcoming you on Saturday, December 13th at 5:00 PM in the Kassetten hall of Maria Heim for a wonderful evening with the Duo Granato and The Rite Duo (Cristian Battaglioli Fiocca, Stefano Visintainer, and Marco Rinaudo), dedicated to chamber music for saxophone and piano.
The two ensembles will perform various pieces from their chamber music repertoire!

A complimentary aperitif will be offered to all attendees afterwards.

Experience an exceptional culinary event at the Schönebenhütte: at Taste the Peak, top South Tyrolean wineries meet creative cuisine and uplifting music.

Our special guest, chef Thomas Ortler, will prepare refined appetizers and main courses together with the Schöneben team. A selection of wines from South Tyrolean producers will be served – perfect for everyone who appreciates flavour and regional quality.

Musical highlights come from Markus Gimbel and David Frank, and the evening continues with an afterparty at Sciuri by the valley station.

The nativity scene will be set up in Oberrasen before the third Sunday of Advent. To mark the occasion, the volunteer fire brigade invites you to enjoy some mulled wine!

When the light grows dim, the “real” world sometimes becomes indistinguishable from the realm of fairy tales. Yet this is far from “child’s play.” Fairy tales, legends, and myths have, for a very long time, served as a secret code for important life wisdom and guidance on behavior. They are also a threshold for subtle experiences and insights, opening a door where our playful side leads us into another world. Children are especially receptive – but we adults are capable of learning too. On this December day, we will immerse ourselves in the nature around Bressanone and encounter trees, water, and stones in a different way. Along the way, we will listen to fairy tales, legends, and myths. Finally, we will bring our nature encounters to the crackling fire or a heated room, warming both hand and heart.

In collaboration with the city’s two youth centers, a special place is coming to life – for everyone who loves to browse: unique clothing, accessories with a story, vintage records, books, and stylish second-hand treasures. 🎶 The right vibe will be set by: • the finest house music • a warm and welcoming atmosphere • drinks and friendly conversations among like-minded people This market is more than just an opportunity to buy or sell – it’s a meeting place for those who live sustainably and value the art of reuse. St. Martin/S. Martino) is organising a special exhibition. Thirty-five years of nativity craftsmanship will be presented, including historical cribs and pieces from past decades.

The Coppa Italia Cross-Country Skiing event is coming to Schlinig this winter! The competition will take place from December 13th to December 14th, 2025, at the Schlinig Cross-Country Ski Centre. Sat, 13.12.2025 – Prologue Free Technique 2.5 / 3.3 km Sun, 14.12.2025 – Pursuit Classic 7.5 / 10 km All participants who want to qualify for the European Cup will take part in this race. Around 200 athletes will take part in these races. All sports fans are of course welcome to come and watch!

On December 13th and 14th, Schlanders transforms into a sparkling Christmas village full of lights, joy, and pre-Christmas atmosphere. The annual Christmas market will also take place.

Hobby artists and craftsmen from Vinschgau, as well as local and Italian producers, will offer handmade gift ideas, traditional crafts, and local products.

A special highlight: "Spielvolk"!
The magically glowing figures on stilts bring Christmas magic directly to the streets of Schlanders with their imaginative performance, enchanting both young and old – an experience you shouldn’t miss!

In addition, many exciting activities await you:
a craft workshop at the base location, fairy tale storytelling at Damml, and a Christmas picture treasure hunt (starting December 9th), where you can collect your reward on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the village square.

Shops in Schlanders will also be open on Saturday and Sunday, both in the morning and afternoon – perfect for festive Christmas shopping accompanied by Christmas lights and sounds.

In the football building in Welsberg, Herbert Gitzl presents his handcrafted nativity scenes. The exhibition is open from 05:00 pm to 08:00 pm and offers mulled wine and Christmas treats for a cosy Advent evening.

Coppa Italia at the Grogg Biathlon Centre in Martelltal. A sprint race will be held on Saturday, 13 December 2025, and a pursuit race on Sunday, 14 December 2025. Approximately 180 athletes from all over Italy will compete. Start times are yet to be announced.
