200 Years of the Stelvio Pass Road – Prad Celebrates History! To mark the anniversary of the legendary Stelvio Pass Road, Prad am Stilfserjoch invites you to a grand historical parade. Starting at 11 AM, the festive procession will move from Zinggweg to Kreuzweg, accompanied by numerous local associations and impressive reenactments from the past: "Korrner", Swabian children, mountaineers, historic carriages, and more. At the festival area in Kreuzweg, Prad’s local clubs will offer delicious food and drinks, while fascinating exhibitions provide insights into the history of this famous mountain road. The historical escape routes of Michael Gaismair and his army in 1525/26 as well as more recent escape routes from the 20th/21st century, which are shown in the exhibition in the form of pictures and photographs, are geographically divided into two presentation locations to the west and east of Bruneck: at LUMEN. Museum of Mountain Photography at Kronplatz focuses on Graubünden/Gadertal/Padua and Karwendel/Pyrenees/Western Alps, while at Museum Burg Heinfels the focus is on Zillertal/Salzburg/East Tyrol and Krimmler Tauern/Strandzha Mountains/Kurdistan. Bees are irreplaceable in our ecosystem and agriculture. Simply put: they are necessary for the survival of us humans. As the third most important "farm" animal (after cattle and pigs), bees pollinate 80% of our crops. The primeval larch trail takes you to the "Platter Urlärchen" - mighty trees that have characterised the valley for over a thousand years. Arnold shares his knowledge about these unique larches and the diverse flora and fauna of the surrounding area. How have these impressive witnesses of time survived for so long? This exciting and eventful event at the Runster Mill, on the Sonnenberg mountain Naturns, fascinates young and old! Accompanied by a guide, you hike slightly uphill to the Runster mill in approx. 30 minutes. Exciting stories and legends about Naturns are told along the way. Franz Fliri and Walter Müller from the Naturns/Plaus local history association will be waiting for you at the mill. Franz will tell you about the Runster Mill and its history. If you like, you can also take some of the freshly ground flour home with you and bake your own bread rolls. Suitable for families with children aged 7 and over, in case of rain the event will be canceled. The tour is only in german language!

The path leads down through the forest to the Schneiderwiesen meadows with the inn of the same name, where we stop for a bite to eat. Mount up, start cycling and head up high! This panoramic tour takes you from the valley station in Sterzing via Telfes to Sterzing's famous local mountain - the Rosskopf. You climb around 800 meters in altitude in a relaxed pace on a wide forest road, accompanied by a certified South Tyrolean bike guide. Juval Castle Tour (39 km, 700 m elevation gain) The impressive Juval Castle Tour stretches over 39 kilometers and 700 meters of elevation gain, offering not only physical activity but also cultural and culinary highlights. The starting point is Algund. An experienced bike guide first leads us through a panoramic landscape to Töll. The route then continues along the Apple Road through blossoming orchards to Naturns and further towards Staben. Already during the ride, we enjoy a magnificent view up to the Juval Caslte, the famous castle of Reinhold Messner, which today houses a fascinating collection of Tibetan art and mountaineering history. We follow the bike path until the resting place (just before Staben) and then turn right at the wooden bridge towards the State Road and the Vinschgau Farmers' Store. After crossing the State Road, we need to pedal a bit more. However, with some stamina, we finally reach The Juval Castle, our destination for the day. Here, we will visit the castle and then take a delightful lunch break at a nearby inn. Rejuvenated, we begin the return journey to the starting point, Algund. The varied landscape and cultural attractions make this bike tour an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts who wish to actively explore the beauty of South Tyrol. This tour is ideal for experienced cyclists with a good basic level of fitness.
