Cave therapy, known by the technical term of “speleotherapy”, helps relieve chronic and recurring respiratory ailments and is a feature of complementary medicine. As in damp caves, the relative humidity in the climate gallery is close to saturation. Suspended particles and allergens in the air are thus bound together and deposited on the wet rock walls. The gallery therefore contains very pure air. When this cold air (8-10°C) is inhaled it is warmed to the body’s temperature of 37°C. The warmer the air, the more water vapour it can absorb. The gallery air can thus extract water from the mucous membranes on its path through the respiratory system, reducing swelling of the breathing structure and allowing those with respiratory problems to breathe more freely. The winegrowing tradition at Neustift goes back centuries. To find out what has remained of this tradition, what winegrowing in the abbey’s vineyards involves today and the philosophy on which it is based, come on a vineyard tour. We’ll not only tell you all about Neustift winegrowing but also serve you its products. The tour of the vineyards together with the following wine tasting takes about 90 minutes in all. We take the Brenner motorway to Rovereto. Through the Loppio Valley and the Passo San Givanni we already reach the north-eastern shore of Lake Garda at Torbole. We drive along the eastern shore to Malcesine. There we enjoy a longer stay to get to know the famous town on the eastern shore. In the early afternoon we take a private boat to Limone. By bus you will then travel along the tunnel-rich Westgardesana towards Riva, the northernmost town on Lake Garda. Via Arco and the Sarca Valley past the beautifully situated Lake Toblino and through the narrow Vela Gorge we reach the Adige Valley again and the Brenner motorway back to Schenna.

Wine tasting and visit to the winery Haidenhof Tscherms. The hillside Haidenhof farm is known for ist first-class wines. The vineyards on ist slopes yield no less than seven Grape varietals, at 16.00 (with registration, T +39 0473 564 451).

Your guide leads you through several stations where she tells about winegrowing, landscape and history. On the way, at the Baron Widmann winery, in the vineyards, at the Castel Turmhof Tiefenbrunner winery and in the Cantina Cortaccia, you can taste 5 typical wines. At the center of the exhibition are the personalitiesof the individual exhibitors: their families, their histories, their life paths, their dreams, and finally their "diagnosis." With a commonthread: the participants in the exhibition are always connected to their destiny and not to the successes of an overly satisfying life. We will guide you to eight especially beautiful and powerful cultural places in our region, all of which are marked and numbered on the map. There is an appropriate clue for each place. You need to find a wooden template with a picture on it and then copy it into the correct space on your sheet. Once every location has been visited and all of the images found and correctly entered on the map, the map can be handed in to one of the tourist information offices in Hafling, Mölten or Jenesien. The fossil museum is designed as an outdoor museum and is accessible to interested visitors at any time and explains itself by means of texts and audio stations. A guided tour for a group of the museum with one of our local experts is highly recommended. Booking is possible by means of direct requests to the tourist office: info@moelten.net It is now a long time – 260 million years – since trees resembling today’s araucaria grew in Mölten/Meltina. The ginkgos produced feathery leaves, while tree-high horsetails stood between the village of Mölten/Meltina and the Möltner Kaser hut. It is astonishing that clearly identifiable forms of these South Tyrolean primeval forests remain: trees fell into the riverbank or were carried along by the current, embedded in sand and finally transformed into fossils. They can now be seen in the Fossil Museum, which was revitalised in 2023 and designed as an outdoor exhibition. It shows the best of the finds from the area around Mölten/Meltina. Particularly noteworthy are the fossil tree and plant remains, some 260 million years old, as well as the footprints of a small reptile. What is special about the fossils in Mölten/Meltina? There are only three places in South Tyrol where plant fossils from the Late Permian have been recovered: the Bletterbach Gorge; Seceda; and Mölten/Meltina. The finds from Mölten/Meltina are the only ones that reveal entire trees. Details of their growth, their branches, roots and size are all clearly visible, which makes it possible to reconstruct entire forests. The Fossil Museum has a fully equipped multifunctional room that can be hired for events for up to 30 people.

The members of the Riversurf Brixen group navigate the Eisack river with their surfboards and with an elastic rope attached to the Widmann bridge. They amaze the spectators with various tricks such as curves, turns and jumps. Together with the municipality of Brixen, the association aims to build Italy’s first river wave, modelled on the world-famous Eisbach wave in Munich.

The focus of this special event at the Steinegg Museum is the ancient and valuable knowledge around the power of plants & herbs. During a short tour of the museum, visitors get to know the rooms of our ancestors, where knowledge about herbs was also practised. The lovingly furnished rooms, chambers and workrooms faithfully reflect the life of our ancestors. Afterwards, our herbalist Doris Schroffenegger will introduce you to the secrets of the power of herbs and their various uses and healing powers - all under the motto: "Support your health all year round with herbs". In a workshop, each participant creates their own marigold ointment. The ointment made on site can be taken home by the participants.
