    26th Potato Run (from Bruneck/Brunico to Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures)
    Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures, Ahrntal/Valle Aurina
    The famous Potato Run: three-quarters of half marathon: from Bruneck/Brunico to Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures. Registration only online. Route (17,6 km): Start at town square Bruneck (835 m), the run continues to Kapuzinerplatz square and Kolping House, from there via Dietenheimer road to Aufhofen, along the cycleway to Gais, to Uttenheim, Kematen and to Bad Winkel, crossing the Ahr river near Cascade pool and along the road Daimerstrasse to the finish at the fairground in Sand in Taufers (870 m).     Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures, Ahrntal/Valle Aurina
    Mini Potato Run in Sand in Taufers. Register online at www.potato-run.com. Late registrations are still possible from 13:30 in the finish area of the main run at Tubrisplatz. The registration fee of €10.00 or €15.00 for late registrations includes a voucher for chips, medal or trophy, start number with integrated timing chip and refreshments at the finish.

    At the Gampen Pass, we visit a military bunker from World War II. Afterwards, we hike along a gravel road and then a footpath. The trail leads upward in switchbacks until we cross a wide valley at the foot of the small Laugenspitze. Continuing with a gentle ascent, we reach the small idyllic Gfrillneralm where we take a break. There, we can enjoy wonderful views of the Dolomites. After that, a pleasant road leads down to the Gampenstraße, from where we take the bus back to Lana. Metres in altitude: approx. 400 m Total walking time: 4 hours Difficult hike: moderate

Route: Guided tour of the village Barbian/Barbiano. Hike on the plum trail and on the high route of Saubach. Stop for lunch at Saubacherhof. Visit of the church in Saubach, return to Barbian.     Sunrise hike on mount Sciliar with breakfast at the Schlernhaus mountain refuge

    If you hadn’t realised it before, when the first rays of sun timidly appear on the surrounding peaks you will see just how much it was worth getting up so early. A sunrise mountain tour on the Schlern mountain is a very special experience. A shuttle bus will take you to the Saltner Tschapit hut, where the ascent begins. Equipped with headlamps, you will arrive at Monte Petz (2,564 m) at around 6:50, in perfect time for the sunrise. After this natural spectacle, a well-earned breakfast awaits you at the Schlernhaus mountain refuge, also known as the “castle in the mountains”.
