The HERO Südtirol Dolomites in Selva Val Gardena represents one of the hardest mountain bike events for amateurs and professional cyclists. The competition is spectacular and a great opportunity for international professional athletes and ambitious amateur cyclists to come together, allowing them to pursue the same dream.

Mountainbike race around the Group of the Sella. The race starts from Selva and passes through Corvara. We have selected the best trails at the Enduro World Cup venue for you. Conquering these challenging trails requires not only good physical fitness, but also plenty of experience. Although the cable cars make most of the ascents easier, there are still almost 3,000 metres of descent waiting for you to master. The aim of this challenge is to conquer the four summits Sas dla Crusc - Santa Croce 2,907 m, Piza dales Diesc - Cima Dieci 3,02 6m, Lavarela 3,055 m and Conturines 3,064 m, on the edge of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage. The ascent of these four mountains is to be attempted only by experienced climbers, as these peaks cannot be reached just on easy, well-sign-posted paths, but also via routes with some very exposed sections. As proof of your achievement you will have a pass which must be stamped every time you reach one of the four summits. All those who manage to complete the challenge in two or more days will have the title “Alta Badia Finisher” conferred upon them. If you manage to complete the ascent of all four summits in one day you will be crowned with the coveted and highly deserved title of “Alta Badia Mountaineer”. In both cases you will take up your place of honour in the “Wall of Fame” which can be viewed online.

From Lake Durnholzer See in the Sarntal Valley, we first walk along the lake on the tarmac road. At the Fischerwirt inn, we leave the lake circuit and follow the road and hiking trail in the direction of the Seebalm (bar). Here we can enjoy the solitude and the surrounding mountains. We return to the lake along the same route. Here you have the option of doing the entire circuit of the lake (approx. half an hour) or hiking directly out to Durnholz. The cultural hike on the Barbian sunny slope leads past historical buildings to the three churches "Dreikirchen". Let the hiking guide tell you interesting things about the cultural treasures. Wilde Kreuzspitze (3,134 metres) is the highest peak in the Pfunders mountains, and commands a breath-taking all-round view of the Zillertal Alps. From the meeting point, we will drive together to the starting point of our excursion, located by the Fane Alm car park (1,700 metres). From there, we will take the forest path that leads through the Valler Schramme gorge all the way to the Labesebenalm pasture (2,138 metres). This is where the climb to the Wildensee lake (2,580 metres) and on to the Rauhtaljoch saddle (2,807 metres) begins. From the saddle, a somewhat exposed trail will lead us to the Wilde Kreuzspitze peak (3,134 metres). The way back to the starting point is via Rauhtal to the Brixnerhütte hut. Refreshment points: Fane Alm huts, Labiseben Alm hut, Brixner Hütte hut Total walking time: approx. 7 hours, covering a distance of 18 km and 1,400 metres of elevation gain.
