Strenuous but rewarding mountain tour to the Amthorspitze - from Gossensass via the Hühnerspielhütte hut with its stunning views up to the summit. The trail leads from Ibsenplatz in Gossensass along the main road heading north and then turns right into the old Postgasse. Climbing slightly eastwards, you pass the Hotel Gudrun and continue uphill towards "Hochwiede" to the road barrier. From there, path no. 22 zigzags up via the Hühnerspielhütte (1868 m) to the summit of the Amthorspitze (2749 m). Descent via the ascent path.

The Zinseler in the municipality of Freienfeld is a panoramic mountain for the whole family. The starting point lies on the pass road just a half kilometer before arriving to the Penser Joch pass. Along the trail 14 you will arrive to the Jaufental joke and the Gospeneid joke and get along the crest to the southern Zinseler summit side (2421m). Suitable for sunrise and sunset tours.

By the parkin lot in St. Jakob accross the river and take on the left side trail 9 and 10. By the small creek turn rigth and follow the steep trail 10 through the forest upwards to the Viedalm mountain hut (no service). Passing by the hut and furtheron on trail 10 to the saddle and on the left side along the crest to the Felbe summit (2852m). Lunch possibility: Restaurant Hofer, Gasthof Neuwirt

This Hochfeiler summit (3.510 m), surrounded by glaciers, with its highest peak situated on the Alpi Aurine, east of Brenner in Southtyrol, extends over 130 kilometres along the border. 
From Sterzing / Vipiteno to the Pfitsch Valley, start by the 3rd turn and follow trail 1 upwards to the old mountain huts and furtheron all along the hillside inside the valley. The trail continues on serpentines in steady increase and over a steep pasture upwards to a junction. Follow here the trail on the left side to the summit (8A, 1A). All along the serpentines, above the ridge up to the final crest. Follow the increasingly steeper trail along the crest (on hard snow or rock underground, depending on weather) to the higheast point of the Zillertal Alps and the Eisack valley (3510m). Lunch possibility: Hochfeilerhütte mountain hut.

Astjoch (Cima Lasta) is the highest summit in the area of the Rodenecker Alm/Alpe di Rodengo. The hike leads from Ellen/Elle near St. Lorenzen/San Lorenzo di Sebato to this popular peak in the mountains of Lüsen/Luson, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view on the Pustertal valley, the Austrian Alps and the Dolomites.

By the small sports field in Mauls for about 1,5 km along the street, than on the left side along trail 10 to the street turn and here on mark 20 along the trail to the Gansör jag, passing by forest, pastures and the Gansör mountain hut (2302m, no service), Further on stoney ground upwards to win the Gansör jag (2551m).

The hike starts at the Gigglhirnhof farm above St. Walburg. Follow a forest road and a hiking trail in the direction of Marschnell Alm and Peilstein. At the highest mountain pasture in the Ultental Valley, which is open in the summer months, you continue along hiking trail no. 10 until you reach the summit cross after around 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Mountain hike to the panoramic summit of the Mount Luco (2434 m). The hike starts at the Gampenpass/Passo Palade (1518 m) on the opposite side of the Gasthof Gampenpass hotel. The hiking path no. 10A leads you in 1,5 hour to the Laugen Alm - Malga Monte Luco. After a short break at the Alm the tour continuous on the hiking path 10 to the peak of Mount Luco (2434 m). Just before of the last steep ascent, on a small mountain saddle you have the option to take the less technical way to the top of the Monte Luco Piccolo (2290 m). Between the summits oft the great and small Mount Luco there is the beautiful and magnificent mountain lake Luco. Thanks to its widely outlook and awe-inspiring view, the Mount Luco belongs to one of the most outstanding lookouts of South Tyrol. The way back is along the hiking path no. 8A through the grass-grown south ridge and then on the hiking path no 10A firsts toward the Laugen Alm and further down to the Gampen Pass.

The nearly 11 km long 4-Lakes Hike is a true experience. You start at the Weißbrunnsee lake and hike steeply along Trail 140 to the Höchsterhütte. After about 2 hours, you reach the Höchsterhütte at the Grünsee lake, the highest point of the tour, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the highest mountains in the Ultental valley. Afterwards, the path leads you along the Ultner Höhenweg No. 12 to the Langsee lake and continues down Trail 107 to the Oberweißbrunnsee lake. After another half hour, you arrive at the Fischersee lake before returning to the starting point via Trail 103.

From the hamlet of Rojen/Roja the route heads north-west along a wide, fenced-in stepped path about 100m high. The path signposted no. 10 leads above the meadows into a gentle landscape featuring hay barns and the last cultivated meadows. After the fork, the path heads north up to the Äußere Scharte. From here enjoy a great panorama of the Lower Engadine. Continue on the wide ridge towards the north-east and you reach the summit with its wonderful views. The descent follows the same route as the one going up.

A wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and the Schlinig valley, which makes every mountaineer's heart, beat faster.

The royal throne of the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alm

 

A beautiful and not too long hike, which leads through the high moors. Wide paths lead up to the Seikofel/ Monte Covolo, which is popular for summer hikes and snowshoe hikes. It is also home to the capercaillie and other game species. In order to protect these, it is important to stay on the paths and enjoy the landscape in peace. Because of the dense network of paths you need a good hiking map!

TIP: Bring your own provisions, the first stop is the Caravan Park at the end of the hike.

The 2,507 metres high Piz da Peres in the Valdaora Dolomites offers very beautiful views of the Plan de Corones and the entire Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park. Starting at the reservoir lake at Passo Furcia, first we follow the road nr. 3 for some metres until we branch off to the right, following trail no. 12B in the direction of the slope “Pre da Peres“. From there you follow the trail no. 12, which presents some steep rock stairs and is slightly exposed at some sections. Than you across beautiful meadow slopes and finally arrive at the peak cross. From here, we admire the ski mountain Plan de Corones in the North, the Dolomites and Mount Cima Tre Dita in the East and San Vigilio di Marebbe in the South-West.
On the way back you take the trail nr. 3. On many serpentines we go downwards through a scree slope, which can be slippery and difficult to pass after heavy rains or in case of snow. After the scree slope it goes up and down again over a forest trail until the starting point. The Sambock/Monte Sommo is the mountain of Pfalzen/Falzes and represents one of the most beautiful points of panoramic views in the whole holiday region Kronplatz/Plan de Corones.

Follow the trail 14B by the pass along the crest to the Astenberg summit. Afterwards on trail 14A crossing the hillside and at the junction further on trail 10 to the Tatschspitze summit (2530m).

Lunch possibility: Gasthof Alpenrosenhof, Penserjoch Alm

The starting point for the hike is the Simian parking lot. Hiking trail number 4 takes you along a beautiful hiking path, passing the cozy Riemerbergl Alm, which is located along the way. Stay on trail number 4 until you reach the Kofelraster lakes. After the first lake, turn left and continue on trail number 4 until you finally reach the summit cross of the Hohen Dieb.

A famous peak on the border between Graubünden and Vinschgau, which is one of the most beautiful panoramic peaks in the upper Vinschgau. However, an absolute head for heights is the prerequisite for reaching the summit.

 

Your hike begins at the St. Helena parking area. You head towards Mariolberg Alm until you turn left onto path number 8 towards Peilstein. At the next intersections, continue on the path number 8 in the direction of Peilstein.

Through picturesque larch forests, you steadily ascend until you reach a forest road. Here, you spot a sign for the first time with "Hochjoch" written on it. From there, follow the markings number 7 and number 1 to the summit cross.

The descent is via paths 8A and 3A, passing the Inner Falkomai Alm and Mariolberg Alm, until you return to the St. Helena parking area.

South Tyrol's highest refuge is located on the southern side of the Stubai Alps at an altitude of 3,195 meters. The Becherhaus was built in 1894 by the German and Austrian Alpine Club, but subsequently received several conversions and renovations. The latest renovation work on the highest building site in South Tyrol was completed in the summer of 2021 after about a year of work. The original construction period lasted from March to August 1894, for which 25 tons of material were brought from Maiern to the summit. In the same year, the hut was opened under the name "Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Schutzhaus". The name was then changed a few years later. The chapel "Maria im Schnee" was also built and can still be visited today.

Despite its impressive location, the refuge offers mountaineers running water, hot meals in the comfortable Stube dining room and space for 100 people; the fire safety equipment, technical facilities and energy-generation system are also up to date. The Becherhaus is open from the end of June to mid-September. Well-known peaks such as Wilder Freiger (3418 m), Zuckerhütl (3505 m), Sonklarspitze (3463 m) and Botzer (3250 m) round off the Becherhaus in the area of eternal snow. 

Starting from the head of the Ridnauntal valley in the direction of the Aglsbodenalm, you reach the Becherhaus via the Grohmann and Teplitzer refuges. After the Teplitzerhütte, past the picturesque Vogelhüttensee lake, continue on trail no. 9 over boulders and well-secured passages with wire ropes and step bars, crossing a moraine to below the Becherfelsen rock. The last part of the hike is via serpentines up to the Becherhaus. Mountaineering experience, surefootedness and appropriate equipment are essential! The way back is via the ascent path.

From Kematen on the trail 4 upwards to the Schlüsseljoch joke (2192m). Here on the left side along difficult high alpine trail 3 over the Kalkwandstange summit in direction Rollspitze summit and along the serpentines on scree floor upwards to the summit (2792m). Lunch possibility: Gasthof Alpenrose, Restaurant Kranebitt.

The hike starts at the Weissbrunnsee lake parking area (1885 m), following trail 101 along the Weissbrunnsee lake to the Fiecht Alm (2037 m), which you reach in about 30 minutes via a hiking path. After a short break, you continue your hike toward Nagelstein. The trail leads you through picturesque landscapes and meadows full of alpine roses. After a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes, you reach the summit, offering an impressive view over the Ultental valley.

The Spronser Rötel, or Rötelspitze is a bit overshadowed by its neighbors, the Tschigat and the Mutspitze. However, it is a beautiful peak in the course of an exciting circular trail in the Texelgruppe. The Texel Group Nature Park is known for its thick pine woods, sun-lit meadows, high moorland, lonely Alpine pastures and little farms, steep rock faces, tumbling streams, crystal-clear lakes and imposing mountain peaks.

Starting from the end of the Ridnauntal/Val Ridanna via the described route to Grohmann and Teplitzer hut. After the alpine hut called Teplitzer Hütte, take trail no. 6 to the Hohe Trog and then on to the Magdeburgerscharte wind gap. From there it goes over the ridge up to the summit, which offers a phenomenal view. The way back is via the ascent path. Alternative: Over the Pfurnsee lake on trail no. 9A up to the Hohe Trog and from there as described up to the Aglsspitz. The way back is via the ascent path.

The Eight Summits March - a very special mountain tour!

The extreme high mountain tour involves crossing 25 km and 3,000 metres in altitude.
The route leads from the picturesque medieval town of Glorenza in the valley to the peaks of the Stelvio National Park.
