    This alpine path leads along the north-south route through the eastern Dolomites. During the course of the hike you will get to know interesting areas of the eastern Dolomites. The main route leads along an average height of 2,000 m - so you have to expect high-alpine conditions. With the exception of the last sections, which can be bypassed on an easier path, experienced hikers will have no difficulties.

    From Lodnerhütte Mountain hut up to the Franz Huber Trail

    The “Franz Huber Trail” is a high-alpine and scenically magnificent climb from the Lodnerhütte hut (2,259 m) in the Zieltal valley to the Tablander Alm hut on the Merano High Mountain Trail. Those who have the necessary endurance, sure-footedness will love this section.
    Attention: this hike is only for trained and experienced mountaineers who do not suffer from vertigo and who are in good physical condition and surefooted. In addition, the descent is exceptionally long!

    Mitterlochspitze peak

    A beautiful mountain hike, which requires you to be sure footed and with a head for heights. The hike starts at the Maseben mountain hut from where you follow the path signposted no. 18. From Maseben turn left and arrive at two small lakes. Walk past the lakes to the right of the river towards the Valbenair valley. At the end of the ski-lift there is a wide-open area. Cross the plain and walk slightly uphill to the left of the Tiergartenspitze peak. Once over the hill, the path turns slightly to the left and you encounter increasingly rocky terrain. After a while, approach the summit ridge and the terrain becomes noticeably steeper. In the middle of the northern flank, the path goes up to Mitterloch Spitze peak. The descent follows the same route as the one going up.

    The refuge Müllerhütte is located at an altitude of 3.145m above the Übeltalferner and is reachable only crossing the glacier.     The hike begins at the Schöneben valley station. From there, take the cable car to the mountain station. Following Trail no. 9b across idyllic alpine meadows, you reach the first of the three peaks - the Zehnerkopf at 2,675 m. Route no. 9b leads somewhat steeper up to the Elfer peak (2,926 m). Alternatively, you can hike straight from path 10 to path 8 + 8b to Zwölfer peak (2,783 m). The summit tour promises a beautiful view of the Lake Resia, the upper Vinschgau valley and the peaks of the Langtauferer valley. The descent leads back via Trail no. 8 and the same time via the last summit, the Zwölfer peak (2,738 m), to the mountain station. After a break in the mountain restaurant, the cable car takes you back down to the valley.

    The High Altitude Trail Neves - high above the lake Neves in Lappach/Lappago! The trail connects the two mountain refuges Edelraut Hütte/Ponte di Ghiaccio (2,545 m) and Chemnitzer Hütte/Giovanni Porro (2,419 m). 

    The hike is rated intermediate for level of difficulty and offers unforgettable moments. The tour requires experience, not to suffer from vertigo, sure-footedness, physical fitness as well as suitable equipment.

    From the Jaufenpass/Passo Giovo (2094m), sign no. 17 leads in a southeasterly direction up the less steep western slopes, from the south to the rocky summit. On some dangerous parts cable fuses are mounted to defuse all the more delicate points in a pleasant way. A sure foot and no fear of heights is required! Hike along this path back to the starting point.

    Alternative: rout no. 12 leads from the Jaufental valley (Schluppes) to the Jaufenpass. Total duration: 1,5-2 hours.

    Spronser Seen lakes: At the heart of the Texelgruppe Nature Park
    Moos in Passeier/Moso in Passiria, Meran/Merano and environs

    The Spronser lakes are located at the centre of the Texel Mountain Nature Park, one of the largest high mountain lake districts in the entire Alps. They are filled with melted snow water and are a real highlight of the Texel Group Nature Park. Their clear waters reflect the surrounding landscape, which makes them a popular place for walkers and hikers. The ten little lakes, which lie at an altitude of between 2,117 mt. and 2,589 mt., are the highest mountain lakes in South Tyrol.

    The lakes include the Kasersee 2,117 mt., Pfitschersee 2,126 mt., Mückensee 2,330 mt., Grünsee 2.338 mt., Langsee 2,377 mt., Schiefersee 2,501 mt., Kesselsee 2,512 mt., Schwarzsee 2,589 mt. and the two Milchseen at 2,540 mt.

    Start behind the Braunhof farm and follow the trail 6 upwards to the Saun summit (2062m). Further on trail 6 all alon the crest and over the Bairnock summit (2581m) to the Weißspitze summit (2715m), the last part on scree underground. Along the trail 6 on the exposed ridge to the next summit, the Amthorspitze (2753m). A dangerous tract is fixed with an aluminium ladder and a small bridge. Descent to the Hühnerspielhütte mountain hut and return on trail 11 and 3, along the Riedbergalm and Prantneralm mountain huts to the starting point. Lunch possibility: Hühnerspielhütte, Riedbergalm Prantneralm, Braunhof.

    The tour starts at Bagni Pervalle (1.320 m) in Sorafurcia. Take the path nr. 32 and pass the Jägerhütte di Valdaora. Take the path nr. 6 to the forcella del Col Vallaccia from here it goes down to the alp Lanzwiese. Once on peak follow again the path 6B that goes down again to Bagni Pervalle.

    Multi-day trekking on the Alta Badia high route

    The Alta Badia Alpine Ridgeway (Alta Via dell'Alta Badia, roughly 80 km in length) enables hikers to experience the Alta Badia Alpine valley from above.

    The route offers a breathtaking unspoiled scenery of the UNESCO-protected Puez-Odle and Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Parks, as well as the Sella massif.

    This multi-day circular hike for expert hikers takes about seven days and passes through the villages of Corvara, Colfosco and La Villa. You can start in any village along the route and hike clockwise as well as anti-clockwise.

    Trails: 6B, 6, 12 From the Muntcörta car park behind the horse riding centre, set off along the forest road through the woods until you reach the crossing. There, take a right to the Antersasc pastures following the sign to Antersasc/Malga Antersasc/Puez. At the Antersasc pastures, keep right and head north to the top of Crëp dales Dodesc.

    The hike begins at the car park (1,729 m) of the Rescher Alm mountain pasture in the Rojental valley. The car park is on the right side of the street. From here you follow trail no. 4 for about an hour to the Rescher Alm mountain pasture at 2.000 m (refreshments available). Continue past the pasture, along the military path, until trail no. 5 branches off to the left. This leads up to the summit of the Piz Lad at 2,180 metres. This mountain lies between Austria, Italy and Switzerland. It promises a wonderful view of the Lake Resia as well as the Grüner See and Schwarzer See in Nauders. The border triangle is 700 metres to the north, below the summit cross, at 2,180 metres. Back to the valley you can take the ascent route or the southern ridge towards Grubenjoch. Shortly before, the path leads down to the left in hairpin bends and joins the ascent route halfway. Magnificent views in all directions and with some luck you can see some ibexes.

    You can either walk up from the valley or catch the cable-car from Rabland to Aschbach at 1,340 mt. and take path no. 27 for approx. 1.5 hours to the Naturnoer Alm (1,922 ,t.) then on along path no. 9 for about 2.5 hours to the Naturnser Hochwart. Other paths lead up from the Kreuzbrünnl car park on the Naturnser Nörderberg (approx. 1,580 mt.) then to the Naturnser Alm, the Altalm or Zetnalm, the Frantschalm also called the Mauslochalm or via the Tablander Alm. Please note: There may still be snow drifts and ice along the path in early summer.

    Hike from Völser Weiher Lake to the Schlern

    Summit tour on the Brenner - from the village of Brennerbad via the Enzianhütte hut to the Schlüsseljoch and up to the Flatschspitze. Follow the footpath (marked 4-4A) from the village of Brennerbad via the Leitner Alm hut to the Enzianhütte hut (1898 m). From there, follow a dilapidated former military road over green slopes in hairpin bends up to the Schlüsseljoch (2212 m). A surprising view down into the Pfitschertal valley opens up. Turn left and follow trail no. 3 over the broad south-west ridge to the narrow summit ridge and the highest point of the Flatschspitze. Descend via the ascent path.

    Passeier High Mountain Trail (Passeirer Höhenweg)
    St.Leonhard in Passeier/San Leonardo in Passiria, Meran/Merano and environs

    The starting point for this hike is the bus stop at Römerkehre (last bend before the Jaufen Pass, 1,900 m). The trail (no. 12A) ascends gently to the Flecknerhütte mountain hut (2,100 m) and then there is a nice footpath below the ridgeback to the Glaitner Joch ridge (2,249 m) continuing up towards the Glaitner Hochjoch ridge (2,390 m), the highest point of the hike. The hike directly along the ridge to the Schloter Joch ridge (2,264 m) provides a magnificent view. From the Schloter Joch (also called Schlattacher Joch), a quick diversion to the idyllically situated Übelsee lake is worthwhile. You then continue along trail no. 15 to the high-Alpine pasture, across mountain meadows to the mountain hut Egger-Grub-Alm below and then further downhill, partially on a road, partially on a footpath through forest and across meadows to Stulles/Stuls. Hikers who are pressed for time can descend before the high-Alpine pasture via trail no. 15A to Stulles.
