The hike to the Napfspitze combines diverse landscapes, alpine challenges, and unforgettable views. It's an excellent choice for experienced hikers looking to enjoy tranquility and natural beauty.
Start at the Dun parking lot (Pfunders, 1,445 m) and follow the signs towards the Bodenalm and the Eisbruggsee, a crystal-clear alpine lake perfect for a short break. From there, the trail continues to the Edelrauthütte (2,545 m), beautifully located in the heart of the Alps.
From the hut, begin the ascent to the Napfspitze (2,704 m). The path is well-marked and free of major technical challenges. At the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding glaciers and peaks.
The descent can follow the same route or take an alternative path via the Gampielalm, adding more variety to your hike.
From Vintl, drive into the Pfunderer Tal, following the well-marked road to the Dun parking lot at the end of the valley. The road is paved and easy to navigate. Plan about 20–25 minutes for the drive.
