Mountain hike: To the mountain Amperspitze starting from Taisten (2687 m)

From the paid parking lot above the Mudler mountain restaurant (1622 m, refreshments available) in Taisten, follow trail no. 38 A to the Taistner Alm (2012 m, refreshments available). From there, continue on trail no. 38 northeastwards across alpine pastures with a moderate incline up to the Klenkboden (2186 m). Still following trail no. 38, descend slightly almost to the Taistner Hinteralm (1955 m, no refreshments available). Shortly before that, climb to the Ochsenhütte (2124 m) and from there, via the southeast and south ridge, moderately to steeply up to the summit cross of the Amperspitze (2687 m).

Descent: along the same route. Alternatively, descend via the Ampertörl to the Samburg Alm and through the Karbachtal to St. Martin, from where you can take the bus back to Taisten.
