The book with more than 150 pictures describes the exploration of a toy collection from Val Gardena, that of Michaela Sotriffer. Thanks to her dialogues with Monica Ferrari, she presents the reader with an educational analysis of past toys. Starting from the 1920s, the toys of the 20th century are considered in the context of Val Gardena, but she analyses also how objects that still have a lot to say today were used. The starting and ending point of this interesting and panoramic circular hike is the village of Welsberg/Monguelfo (1,087m), which we reach sustainably in a short, pleasant train ride. First, we walk through the charming village center until we reach the entrance of the panoramic path. You walk in a magnificent natural landscape on the sunny side of Welsberg/Monguelfo, with a constant view of the Dolomites, the striking Dürrenstein and "Mister Kronplatz". Passing farms, you reach the fascinating, mystical Taisten Legend Trail (1,330m). Sculptures made of wood and a far-reaching view accompany us on this adventure hiking trail to the beautiful sunny village of Taisten/Tesido (1,200m), situated on a wonderful sun terrace between mountain and valley. Immerse yourself in a world of life-size sculptures that transform the Staudenparadies garden into an impressive sculpture park. The exhibition not only serves as a platform for artists to present their work, but also aims to highlight the cultural differences and similarities in sculpture. The focus is also on promoting the regional art scene, giving South Tyrolean artists the opportunity to present themselves on an international level. The aim is to awaken everyone's interest in art and culture and to walk through the world with more open eyes. Come and experience the fusion of nature and art at the first international sculpture exhibition in Staudenparadies. After a wonderful hike on the Naturnser Nörderberg mountain, a shuttle minibus will bring you back to Naturno. The return journey must be booked separately. Limited booster seats for children are available. Dogs are transported only on request and with muzzle.

At Tholerhof, both young and old, have the opportunity to gain their first riding experiences and get a feel for sitting in the saddle of these fascinating and powerful Haflinger horses and Shetland ponies. After riding, children can help with grooming and taking care of the horses. For more experienced riders, Tholerhof offers great rides in the forest around Aschbach. From high up on the horse, you'll see the surroundings from a more impressive perspective.

The special exhibition at Taufers Castle deals with the medieval theme of "popular belief", which combines religious aspects with superstition. Curated by Marie Rubner, it can be seen from March 29 to November 3, 2024.
The exhibition shows a view of the world that was influential until the Enlightenment and is still influential today. It does not judge, but provides insights into religious customs, rituals and the belief in otherworldly powers.
Popular belief sought to harness otherworldly powers in order to achieve safety, health and salvation.
The exhibition presents texts, exhibits and images, including unicorns, basilisks and thinkers.
Although it does not draw any conclusions, the exhibition opens our eyes to the importance of popular beliefs in society. It also shows how the focus on popular belief affects historical conflicts of faith.
It becomes clear that popular belief filled gaps in the Christian understanding of faith by turning to powers beyond. At the same time, the Catholic understanding of faith opposed pagan cults with sacramental alternatives.
A visit to the exhibition can reveal further insights and invites you to visit several times.
