Guided afternoon hike with Klaus Demar. Meeting point: Train stop Lichtenstern. Duration: 3-4 hours, pure walking time: 2 hours. Difficulty: middle. Price: € 15, free with RittenCard. Language: German & Italian. We meet us at 2.20 p.m. at the Lichtenstern/Station (2.06 p.m. train from Oberbozen/ Klobenstein). In Lichtenstern we learn about the 117-year-old Ritten Railway. From here we climb to the Waldneregg prehistoric cult site. We follow the path near the mythical "Menhir" to Lake Wolfsgruben. Along the Eschenbach stream, which drained the lake, the "Seemüller" had rights to use the irrigation water and the water power for their mills, sawmills and a forge. We look at the old buildings (from the outside) and descend to the beautifully situated Unterinn. On a tour of the village, we visit the parish church - the original parish of Ritten - which is well worth seeing, before taking the bus to Klobenstein, where our hike ends. Registration required!

Bees are irreplaceable in our ecosystem and agriculture. Simply put: they are necessary for the survival of us humans. As the third most important "farm" animal (after cattle and pigs), bees pollinate 80% of our crops. Curious visitors can learn this and other interesting facts during a guided tour by an experienced beekeeper, including honey tasting, at the Birkenbrunn hotel. Costs: €07.00

Discover Lana - welcome tour. Every Monday, guests are welcomed in front of the information office in Lana, the weekly programme is presented followed by a tour of the historic centre of Lana. You will receive useful information about the holiday region of Lana (countryside and people, hiking, excursions, visits to restaurants, fruit and wine growing, etc.) and learn about interesting monuments from eight centuries. Christoph Gufler, who has published numerous books on "South Tyrolean regional studies", will be happy to answer your questions, starting at the Lana information office, 10.00 am.

The "Tartscher Bühel" is a special place of power in Val Venosta. On a leisurely walk, we follow the traces of the lost town, gain insights into the culture of Val Venosta and learn more about innovative development concepts (this tour is in German or Italian language)

Hike from the parking space "Kratzegg" in Ulfas/Ulvas via the Wintritt mountain meadows to the Schartalm, on to the Ulfasalm and back to the starting point. Walking time: 4 hours | Difference in altitude: 550 m In cooperation with the Nature Office of the Province of Bolzano, "nature walks" are offered from May to September. Together with a trained nature park guide, participants experience the local nature up close and receive information about the flora and fauna of the surroundings.

Enjoy a scenic tour from Sterzing to the Rosskopf mountain. The tour starts at the Rosskopf valley station and leads via Telfes to Sterzing's local mountain. The nearly 800 meters of altitude are mostly covered on a wide gravel road. Arriving at the mountain station, the beautiful huts invite you to take a break. During a culinary refreshment (not included), you can enjoy the fantastic views of the Eisack Valley extending far out to the Dolomites. The descent leads back to the starting point via the Telfer Almen. Optionally, the return trip can also be made via the cable car. This tour is conducted by an original South Tyrolean BIKEGUIDE. The Biathlon Centre at the the Martelltal valley is located at 1,700 m. It is one of the most modern biathlon centres in the Alpine region, and snow is guaranteed here. It is a training camp and venue for national and international competitions. A guided shooting and safety training session with a small-bore rifle will introduce you to the fascinating world of biathlon.

Discover the history of the miners on an easy family hike The Miners' Trail follows the existing hiking trail from the Rosskopf mountain station via the Telfer Almen to the miners' settlement on Telfer Berg, which then leads into the Ridnaun High Trail. Thematic panels have been set up at selected locations along the trail to explain the historical aspect. The family-friendly hike is rewarded with breathtaking views. Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of the honey bee. Together with beekeeper Michael, you will open a beehive at one of his travelling stands, watch the busy bees at work and learn all sorts of interesting facts about them. Climbing is fun, not only for the children! On the climbing wall we train strength and agility in a completely playful way. But we also experience community and learn what it means to act in a self-determined way. By exposing ourselves to calculable risks, we experience success and failure and learn how to deal with them. The course is aimed at children from the age of 8 and adults. Note: Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent!

In 1874, at the farm of breeder Josef Folie, a truly special colt was born: 249 Folie – the very first Haflinger and founder of the breed. Since then, Haflingers have conquered the globe: Friendly, high-performing and charming, they are now bred all over the world as ideal partners for sport, leisure, therapeutic riding or work. In 2024, we celebrate 150 years of Haflinger breeding in South Tyrol as well as the Provincial Federation of South Tyrol Haflinger Horse Breeders’ 70th anniversary. 150 years ago, the community of La Val stood at a crucial crossroads: the decision to rebuild their church. It was a complex choice, since it meant building the new church on a different site, at Plan Morin, much closer to the majority of the population. However, such a decision also meant that the entire town centre had to be moved, including the cemetery, the presbytery, the school and the inns... Of course, not everyone was of the same mind. The community was divided by conflicting opinions and faced major challenges, both financial and labour. The stories, both grand and intimate, linked to this undertaking are meticulously documented and brought to life through a theatrical presentation that recounts and pays tribute to the founding of the town centre right up to the present day. Theatrical performance in the Ladin language During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. Sport, fun and adventure above structures made out of wood at the Outdoor Kids Camp at the mountain station of Merano 2000. Different stations invite to balance, jump, climb, shoot an arrow and much more. Once the stations have been completed, a small prize awaits the children. Martin Hell offers a workshop for children aged 8 and above accompanied by an adult, where washed old wood is used. Together, they will craft figures, animals, and fantasy shapes from old pieces of wood. Please book in advance. 7,00 € per person
