ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Untermeinlechnerhof. We take the bus from the village centre in Schenna to Verdins and then hike to Untertall to Untermeinlechner and after a cosy stop for refreshments back to the starting point. From here you are free to decide whether to return on foot or by bus. Of course, a Törggelemenü and hearty music are not to be missed! What comes to mind when you think of the Passeiertal Valley? Andreas Hofer, the stunning nature, or perhaps the local dialect? But do you also think of art? Between 1719 and 1845, St. Martin/S. Martino was home to an important school of painting that not only filled the valley with artworks but also gained wide recognition beyond the region. On this guided walk with Judith, you'll follow the baroque traces through St. Martin/S. Martino. Discover elaborate frescoes and paintings while learning more about the former painting school, the talented artists trained there, and the impressive works they left behind. This easy hike takes you to a farm in the idyllic hamlet of Pein, where you will prepare a farmhouse pizza together with farmer's wife Johanna and bake it in the stone oven. Johanna will also explain how she makes mozzarella and will certainly let you taste some of her homemade products. On the way back, you will visit Martha and her little ‘Ladile’ (farm shop). She will tell you about her products and how she processes all kinds of herbs into teas and tinctures.

The sunny mountain slope from Bozen up to the Ritten is one of the finest wine-growing areas in South Tyrol. Along the wine steps, the 10 artistic installations offer a fascinating glimpse into the culture of wine production. From Signat the trail leads downhill through the gently rolling vineyards to the viewing platform with its magnificent views of Bozen, then on to the Loosmannhof, to the settlement of St. Justina and down to Rentsch in the historic wine-growing estate of Ansitz Waldgries. The same route leads back uphill from Bozen to Signat.

The starting point is the Popena bridge on the access road to Lake Misurina. The trail first follows the Rio Popena gently uphill. Already during the ascent, you can admire the majestic Dolomite peaks – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – in all their glory. Further up, the valley opens up, offering stunning views of the Cristallino di Misurina and Monte Popena. At around 2000 m, the forest begins to thin out and the terrain becomes more open. The route continues to the Sella di Popena, where you enjoy a magnificent panorama of the entire valley and Lake Misurina. In good conditions, you can extend the tour to the Corno d’Angolo.
