The trail leads over long pastures and then continues along a spectacular switchback path that heads into the magnificent saddle, between Sassolungo and Punta delle Cinque Dita. Afterwards we cross the upper part of Val Chedul and walk to the Passo Crespëina. We continue past the Lake of Crespëina and, after an up- and downhill stretch, we reach the Refuge Puez. This event will not be held in English. During the nature walk,you will learn the effect of the herbs and their healing properties. At the end of the hike you can enjoy a delicious snack made from the herbs you have collected together.

It is not for nothing that Mt. Eidechsspitze is among the most popular peaks in the Pfunders mountains. Starting from the Winnebachtal car park (1,412 metres), we will climb our way to the Tiefrastenhütte hut (2,312 metres) and the Tiefrasten lake. From there, a narrow trail negotiates the rough stretch to the picturesque Kompfossee lake (2,442 metres). Finally, a steep ascent over the flank leads to the Eidechsspitze summit (2,738 metres), where a uniquely rewarding panoramic view awaits. The way back is along the same route. Refreshment points: Astner Bergalm hut, Tiefrastenhütte hut. Total walking time: approx. 7 hours, covering a distance of 17 km and 1,300 metres of elevation gain. The Ötzi Glacier Tour is an extremely varied one day round tour, which crosses the main chain oft the Alps. It takes place every Tuesday and upon request. The undisputed highlight of this accompanied glacier trekking tour is the discovery site of Ötzi the Iceman (3,210 m). Starting from Kurzras. From the mountain terminal of the Glacier Cable Car, we will travel over the Hochjochferner (2,800 m/9,186 ft.) to the Schwarze Wand and on to the Hauslabjoch (3,280 m./10,761 ft.) We will then descend to the Tisenjoch (3,210 m/10,532 ft.), the site where Ötzi was discovered. Return to the Similaun Refunge in the early afternoon. We will then descend through the Tisen Valley to Vernagt (1,700 m./5,577 ft.) Return to Kurzras. Exploring the mountain and its diverse landscape at Merano 2000 in a group while discovering new hidden spots? The guided hikes at Merano 2000 will take place on selected dates starting from July to October 2025 every Tuesday and Wednesday. The hikes take place in groups of up to 12 people and are led by certified hiking guides.

This unique, almost indescribable feeling of peace and quiet: enjoy the picturesque twilight atmosphere on the Ploseberg with us. Accompanied by the soothing chirping of crickets, we hike along the Dolomites High Trail to the Rossalm, where we stop for dinner (not included). Participants first walk about 600 meters into the Elisabethstollen, then climb up a staircase (300 steps and 65 vertical meters) in an ore mining shaft to the Lorenzstollen.Then we walk about 400 meters back through the Lorenzstollen to the exit and through a path to the starting point. The rest of the trail leads along the Schnürlsteig trail to Puflatsch, which offers a fantastic panorama of the surrounding mountain groups. Due to the steep characteristic, absolute surefootedness is required. Once you arrive on Seiser Alm, you can enjoy the breathtaking panorama and a good lunch in one of the mountain huts. The panoramic high-level hike leads us through pine forests to beautiful high alpine pastures in the direction of the Radlsee lake, Brugger Schupfe and back to the Kühhof. The final part of the ascent to the Weißhorn leads over rocky terrain. Surefootedness is required! On the descent, we stop at the Gurndin Alm and continue to Jochgrimm, where the bus will pick us up. Since the stop is near the end of the hike, we recommend bringing some snacks for the way. Approach into the Schnalstal Valley (ca. 1 hour) to the starting point in Vernagt/Vernago. The ascent is via Tisental Valley to the Similaunhütte refuge at 3,020 m. After a rest, the route continues over partly pathless boulder terrain to the discovery site, where a stone pyramid stands. Here you will find lots of information about how Ötzi was found.
