Have you ever tasted authentic South Tyrolean speck on a crispy “Breatl” with a stunning mountain backdrop? Our Speckbread Hike starts at the Olang 1+2 mid-station at 2000 m and leads you through several culinary stops amidst the breathtaking nature of the Dolomites. A special treat awaits you at the end: freshly sliced speck served on warm oven-baked bread. The hike is self-guided but well-marked and easy to follow. Along the circular trail, you’ll also discover how speck and bread were made in the old days. The cable car ticket is not included in the registration and must be paid on site at the valley station.

Note: The hike is only in German and Italian. The farm hike with a lot of history starts in Vernagt at the church. It goes over the dam where it joins the circular lake trail. From here you can get a good view of the church tower in the lake in spring, which bears witness to the flooding of the village of Vernagt in the 1950s. In autumn, the colourful larch trees are reflected in the crystal-clear water of the lake. At the end of the lake, turn right along path no. 8 towards Finailhof, once the highest granary in Europe. Follow farm trail no. 7, with a marvellous view of the lake, past the Raffeinhof and Tisenhof farms back to Vernagt. Moderately difficult hike; good physical condition is required, Walking time: 3 - 4 hours, 330 metres ascent and descent, max. 15 participants.

We go by taxi to the Schnegger Säge hut (1.487 m): There we start the hike via trail nr. 1 to the Silvesteralm hut and finally to the Steinbergalm hut (1.987 m, Three Peaks view). After the rest we go back on the same path to the starting point. The Fallmetz summit (2,568m) is an insider tip as it is less well-known but offers a spectacular 360-degree view. Ride the cable car to the Nesselbahn mountain station. The trail leads you through alpine panoramas to the Falzarer Joch between the Altfasstal valley and Pfunders. From the Falzarer Joch, you climb over a grassy ridge to the pre-summit. The slightly exposed transition to the main summit is quickly conquered and an unimagined panoramic view of the large Seefeldsee lake, the Altfasstal valley and the surrounding mountain peaks awaits you. The descent is via the ascent route. Stop for refreshments on the way back. Walking time: approx. 5 hours, 14 km and 525 m of elevation gain. Total duration: approx. 6 hours. E-Bike Tour – Freiberg - Merano Our Freiberg Tour begins in Algund. From there we ride along the signposted cycle track into Merano. In the spa town we ride along various side streets in the old town and soon reach the cycle track that leads into the Passeier Valley. At Lazag we leave the cycle track and reach the lovely Merano district of Obermais, from where we cycle in the direction of St. Georgen as far as Goyen Castle. Next we cross the Naif Valley and reach the Freiberg, where a fabulous view of Merano awaits us. We then cycle along Panoramastrasse to the Rauthof wine tavern, where we take a well-deserved break. The return journey is via a lovely route back down into Merano and then on to Algund. Participation at own risk. Difference in altitude: 650 metres

This tour starts at the bridge Schneebergbrücke and leads to the former mining area. In addition to visiting the museum, the program includes fascinating insights into the underground world of the St. Martin Gallery and the Himmelreich Gallery. The experience is rounded off with an excursion through the historic miners’ settlement before descending together back to the starting point. Start in Reischach where you take the cable car up to Kronplatz. At the top, enjoy a 360° panoramic view before descending the Furcia Trail (S2, moderately difficult) – a flowing but partially technical trail with roots, tight corners and rocky sections – leading to the Furkel Pass (1,758 m). From the pass, a pleasant forest road winds down through woods and meadows into the Gadertal Valley to reach St. Vigil in Enneberg. After a short break, the tour continues steadily uphill to Pederü, first on asphalt, then on gravel roads.The alpine climb begins at Pederü, heading up to the Fanes Hut (2,060 m) on a well-maintained former military road. Though demanding, the climb is scenic and rewarding. By cable car, we ascend to Kronplatz (2275m), where we enjoy a magnificent view of the Alps and the Dolomites. At the summit of Kronplatz, we marvel at the largest bell in the Alps: the Concordia. Guided sunrise hike Travel by minibus to the Plantapatsch mountain hut (2150 m). From there we hike approx. 1.5 hours to the Watles summit (2555 m). There we will watch the sunrise. A unique view awaits us. An unforgettable, perhaps rare moment. Descent along the same route back to the Plantapatsch hut. Return journey by minibus to Burgeis. Every Tuesday a shuttle takes you to the Schartegg car park on the Tscharser Nörderberg mountain. There is the starting point for wonderful hikes to the different alpine pastures. Mountain bikers can explore the new bike area of Nörderberg mountain starting from the Schartegg car park. Limited booster seats for children are available. Dogs are transported only on request and with muzzle. The return journey must be booked separately.

A romantic torchlight hike awaits you! The meeting point with Simone, who accompanies the hike, is at the tourist office in Deutschnofen | Nova Ponente. From there, you will need to drive independently to the Oberkofl farm, which takes about five minutes. The easy hike starts there and leads you past the farm along an idyllic forest path to the mystical St. Agatha Church, which lies in a clearing in the woods. The trail is easy to walk, with no major elevation changes. Along the way, Simone will share fascinating stories about the legendary church and this special place. 50-minute hike from the Auronzo hut 2330 m to the Forcella Lavaredo. The blue hour is a moment of calm and transition, heralding the imminent sunrise with a picturesque play of colours. The Ötzi Glacier Tour is an extremely varied one day round tour, which crosses the main chain oft the Alps. It takes place every Tuesday and upon request. The undisputed highlight of this accompanied glacier trekking tour is the discovery site of Ötzi the Iceman (3,210 m). Starting from Kurzras. From the mountain terminal of the Glacier Cable Car, we will travel over the Hochjochferner (2,800 m/9,186 ft.) to the Schwarze Wand and on to the Hauslabjoch (3,280 m./10,761 ft.) We will then descend to the Tisenjoch (3,210 m/10,532 ft.), the site where Ötzi was discovered. Return to the Similaun Refunge in the early afternoon. We will then descend through the Tisen Valley to Vernagt (1,700 m./5,577 ft.) Return to Kurzras.
