We start at the Rappenhöfe farms in Kalmtal and hike steeply uphill through the forest, later across alpine meadows to the rustic Faglsalm. Here we stop for refreshments and then hike uphill again to the beautifully situated Faglssee lake, surrounded by alpine pastures and mountains. We have reached the highest point here and now hike along the high trail towards the inner valley. At the end of the valley, we then descend slightly to the Valser Alm. We return comfortably to the starting point via a beautiful forest path. Elevation gain: approx. 800 m Walking time: approx. 5 hours Difficulty: moderately difficult

From Brixen’s old town and Stufels, hike through vineyards and orchards to the Natz-Schabs plateau. Our tour guide and “apple ambassador” introduces us to the world of this crunchy vitamin bomb. Did you know that over 700 varieties of apple grow in South Tyrol alone? We taste tangy, sweet and aromatic varieties, enjoy a hearty South Tyrolean “Marende” and round off the tour with a glass of wine or apple juice - a feast for all the senses. Unforgettable hike on the bright side of Barbian. We guide you through the colorfulness of fall past vineyards, fruit trees and chestnut trees. Meeting point at 10am at the Information Office Barbian. Hiking time: 3,5 hours, stop at the restaurant "Oberweger/Kollmsnn". Return at 4pm, easy to medium hike, good footwear, rain shelter. For members of the Tourist Association Klausen, Barbian, Feldthurns and Villanders the hiking is free, for non-members it costs 8,00€ per person. Excursion with the forest rangers of the Stelvio National Park in Val d'Ultimo. Starting from the end of September, with the return of autumn, the roar of the red deer echoes through the forests of the Stelvio National Park. Well covered from the evening cold and with a bit of luck, you will not only hear the animals but also have the chance to observe them. • Duration: 5 hours • You need: Outdoor clothing, headlamp, backpack (with spare clothes, rain jacket, snacks and drinks), hiking boots, headlamp is recommended • Difficulty: easy • Difference in height uphill 400 m, difference in height downhill 220 m • Tour length: 6,5 km • Price: 20€ including breakfast at the mountain hut • Free transport by shuttle bus from S. Gstral, Kaseracker, Merl-Tennen – The History and stories behind Field Names around Oberbozen with Expert Johannes Ortner. Meeting point: 10 a.m. at Oberbozen train station. Duration: 5 hours, bring a picnic in your backpack. Hiking price: €15, free with RittenCard. Language: German & Italian. On this hike around Oberbozen, we will trace the origins of old Ritten field names such as Gstral, Höll, Kaseracker, and Tennen. Field names are "concise landscape formulas", reflecting the settlement and linguistic history of Ritten. However, these names also hold clues about past agricultural activities, local vegetation, and even prehistoric times. Field names often reflect how people perceived and categorized their surroundings. Ethnologist and name researcher Johannes Ortner will provide further insights into these and other local peculiarities. Registration with the tourist office by 5 p.m. the day before.

Approach from Stuls/Stulles to the Rafeinhof farm. Follow the original trail called "Jaufenkamm" no. 16 through the forest and across mountain meadows to the summit with ist panoramic views of the Ötztal, Stubai, Sarntal und Zillertal Alps. Forest hike to places of power & natural monuments with our guide Helga Egger. The bus takes us up from Welschnofen | Nova Levante to the Adler bus stop. From there we hike to the Staldalm farm, where we are offered a picturesque view of the alpine pastures and mountain landscape of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar. Via path [27] we return to the bus stop from where we started the hike. Return to Welschnofen | Nova Levante by bus. The soothing and relaxing atmosphere of the forest gives us the opportunity to rediscover the "fascination" of nature, recharge our batteries and free ourselves from the negative thoughts that are constantly buzzing around in our brains. We learn to relax again, to see, hear, feel, smell and taste. As we walk mindfully through the forest, we do thought exercises, recharge our lungs with oxygen, find centuries-old trees like the "snake tree" that have been growing in magical places for 600 to 700 years and are full of positive energy. At the end of September, the rutting of the Red deer begins in the Stelvio National Park. Dressed warmly, we listen to the roaring of the male deer echoing through the autumn forests. With any luck, we may also observe them.

We reach ‘Hofmahd’ in Val d'Ultimo, just before the village of Proves, where we begin our walk. We pass the Castrin alpine hut and along slopes dotted with orchids and alpine roses we reach the ‘Laugenjöchl’ yoke. Here we take the well-known Bonacossa path, cross the slopes below the summit of the Great Luco and along trail no. 10 we reach the Luco alpine pasture. From here a forest path leads to the Passo Palade, from where the bus takes us back to Lana. Altitude difference: approx. 300 m Walking time: approx. 5-5.5 hours Difficulty level: easy

Fancy a varied hike where you can discover the secrets of nature? This guided tour in the Texelgruppe Nature Park not only offers exciting insights into flora and fauna, but also runs along a particularly scenic section of the Merano High Mountain Trail, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. From Magdfeld, we follow the high trail with magnificent panoramic views over the Passeiertal Valley and the surrounding mountains. At this quiet altitude, with a little attention you can also observe the birdlife - whether chirping in the bushes or as silent shadows in the sky. The descent towards Saltaus/Saltusio begins at Riederberg. From there, we follow the Schildhöfeweg trail past traditional farms that have characterised the valley for centuries - a piece of living cultural history. Our hike ends in the small village of Quellenhof/Sorgente. You will be accompanied by a trained nature park guide, who will provide fascinating insights along the way: which plants grow here? How does the landscape change throughout the year? Which animals are native, and how do humans and nature share this space? The tour is part of a series of nine guided hikes through the Texelgruppe Nature Park - each with a different destination, each path offering new perspectives. A true adventure on the sunny plateau: the autumnal custom of "Törggelen" is a delight for visitors and locals alike. Understandably, for it is the ideal combination of exercise in the fresh air and culinary delights. After a hike across the colourful high plateau of Naz-Sciaves with our guide, we stop at a typical farm, where specialities from the Isarco Valley are served.* *Food and drink are not included in the price.

The “Törggele” season begins at the beginning of October and ends with Advent. On our hike we visit the Griesser Hof winery north of Brixen, in Vahrn. We taste three white wines (included) and get to know winemaker Paul, who grows and presses the grapes for his wine himself. The hike takes us to another farm inn above Brixen, where the hosts serve us typical Törggelen dishes. We recommend a glass of white wine from Eisacktal valley (meal and drinks not included). On our autumn hike, we start at the parish church in Mittertal/Jaufental and hike along the Sennerbergbach up to the Sennerberg at 1,597 meters (approx. 300 vertical meters). On the way, we are enchanted by the untouched nature, which gives the area a very special energy. After a short break with a picnic, we continue our way back and visit the Sennerhof farm. There we have the opportunity to experience life on a farm up close and taste delicious, home-made goat products. The small farm store also offers the possibility to buy regional specialties.

The “Törggelen” season is the fifth season in Brixen and its surroundings. Together with you, we would like to take a look behind the scenes of this tradition, learn about the origins of wine in Brixen and uncover the secrets of “Törggelen” cuisine. We walk from Brixen to the Griesser Hof winery, situated on a sunny hill. There we are welcomed by winegrower Paul, with whom we taste his wines in the wine cellar. We continue along the “Keschtnweg” trail and stop off at Burgerhof Meßner farm inn. Together with organic winegrower and chef Johannes, we prepare South Tyrolean dumplings and learn about his philosophy of sustainable farming. Guided "Törggele" hike with guide Helena Graf, with a stop at the traditional farm "Glangerhof" and a cosy get-together in the "Stube". The guided hike with Günther leads through old farmsteads and mountain restaurants, through sloping vineyards, chestnut groves and orchards. You will have the possibility to learn more about typical farms and the winegrowing during a wine tasting at the Prackfoler farm. The lunch with traditional dishes at the Innerperskoler farm inn is not only a culinary pleasure, it helps you to recharge your batteries for the hike back to the starting point. Wine tasting: the three wines from the Prackfolerhof will be tasted. Children receive juices for free. Lunch: The price includes appetizer, main course ("Schlachtplatte"), chestnuts (if available) and sweet "Krapfen". Drinks have to be paid extra.

The bonfire of chestnuts kicking off the event at all the Buschenschänke taverns. Leaves in hues of gold and scarlet-red begin to dot the mountains, and the aroma of grapes, ripened by the summer sun, still wafts through the vineyards. This is the environment in which the Törggelen tradition was born: the farmers would invite friends and neighbors to their wine cellars and cozy Stuben parlors in order to celebrate the crushing of the grapes. Today, in keeping with authentic practice of the tradition, chestnuts from neighboring groves are served together with homemade wine, and visitors can sample local specialties. As part of the Original Törggelen event, rural taverns known as Buschenschänke have been selected that meet the quality criteria of the Red Rooster brand. This year there are 18 taverns: located in the Isarco/Etschtal Valley, around Bozen and Meran, and along the Wine Route. The taverns in the Isarco/Etschtal Valley are connected to one another by the Eisacktal Chestnut Trail ("Keschtnweg"). Inauguration The bonfire of chestnuts, or Keschtnfeuer, will be lit at 7 p.m., kicking off the Original Törggelen event at all nine Buschenschänke taverns. In addition to serving fine wines, roasting chestnuts and preparing local specialties, the farmers will conduct tours and wine tastings starting at 6 p.m. Advance bookings are required at the participating farms (limited number of participants).

Chestnut farmers and Törggele businesses will roast chestnuts along the Chestnut Trail throughout the month of October. At the Chestnut Trail/Frühaufhof in Barbian, starting Saturday, October 4, every Saturday and Sunday until October 26, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Holznerhof. We take the bus from the village centre of Schenna up to Verdins and hike via the Wieser Steig through the Vallplatz forest to the Holznerhof and after a cosy stop we descend to the Pichler restaurant. From the starting point you are free to decide whether to return on foot or by bus. A Törggelemenü and hearty music are of course not to be missed! The starting point is Weißbrunn at the far end of the Ultental Valley. We hike through larches and Zirmenwald forest high above the valley to the rear Flatschberg Alm. After a good rest, we descend to St. Gertraud. Altitude difference: Ascent 490 m, descent 600 m. Walking time: approx. 3.5 hours Difficulty: easy hike
