Together with a mountain guide, you'll climb this approximately 1-kilometre-long via ferrata, gaining 550 vertical metres and secured with 1,000 metres of steel cable. The route is of medium difficulty (A – B with short B/C sections) and ends with the spectacular rock formation known as the "Engelskante" ("Angel's Edge"). Who is the tour suitable for? This tour is ideal for mountain lovers who are sure-footed, have no fear of heights, and are in good physical condition. Previous via ferrata experience is an advantage. We take the Brenner motorway to Rovereto. Through the Loppio Valley and the Passo San Givanni we already reach the north-eastern shore of Lake Garda at Torbole. We drive along the eastern shore to Malcesine. There we enjoy a longer stay to get to know the famous town on the eastern shore. In the early afternoon we take a private boat to Limone. By bus you will then travel along the tunnel-rich Westgardesana towards Riva, the northernmost town on Lake Garda. Via Arco and the Sarca Valley past the beautifully situated Lake Toblino and through the narrow Vela Gorge we reach the Adige Valley again and the Brenner motorway back to Schenna.

Your guide leads you through several stations where she tells about winegrowing, landscape and history. On the way, at the Baron Widmann winery, in the vineyards, at the Castel Turmhof Tiefenbrunner winery and in the Cantina Cortaccia, you can taste 5 typical wines. The walk lasts 3 1/2-4 hours, about 50 minutes of which are spent actually walking.

The adventure begins with a comfortable shuttle ride from Brixen to the Villnösstal Valley, arriving at Zanser Alm – from here, the real bike journey kicks off! We start on a forest road heading toward the Gampen Alm, accompanied by breathtaking views of the Dolomites and the Villnösser Geisler Peaks. The route then continues to the Schlüterhütte mountain hut. The final climb to this point demands a serious effort – but the view from the highest point of the tour is worth every drop of sweat. It’s the perfect place for a short panoramic break. After that, things get a bit more relaxed: we follow varied trails and gravel paths, with gentle climbs and descents, riding on toward the Gömajoch, passing the Göma Hut, and reaching the well-known Würzjoch. From September 18 to 21, 2025, the PATRON CleanUP Tour stops in South Tyrol – four unforgettable days where every helping hand counts. Of course, we’re taking part – and you? Since 2019, Plasticfreepeaks has been organizing CleanUP Days where volunteers head out to free nature from waste. Be part of the movement and join this special hike in Val Casies Valley. We start at 09:00 am at the bus stop at the valley head in S. Maddalena and follow trail no. 49 to the idyllic Pidig Alpine huts. For less experienced hikers, this section is especially suitable – you can return on your own from the Pidig huts. Those who want to go further continue to the Oberbergalm and then hike up to the Gsieser Törl (2,200 m), the mountain pass to East Tyrol. The way back leads along the scenic Almweg 2000 to the Weißbach Alm and then along trail no. 53 to the starting point. Difficulty: medium. Duration: 09:00 am. -03:30 pm. Total distance: 15.2 km. This varied hike takes you through a fascinating landscape at the foot of the Latemar: from expansive alpine meadows and mystical rock labyrinths to a hidden lake in the middle of the forest. Perfect for an adventurous day in the Dolomites! Tour Description: Our tour begins at the Tiers cable car, which takes us comfortably to the Frommer Alm. From there, bus line 186 brings us to the Nigerstraße intersection, where our hike starts on foot. We follow the trail across the idyllic Latemar meadows, offering breathtaking views of the Dolomites and the perfect spot for a short break to soak in the surroundings. The path then leads us into the famous Latemar Labyrinth, a highlight of the hike. This labyrinth of massive boulders, created by an ancient landslide, provides an exciting and unique hiking experience. After navigating the labyrinth, we arrive at the Mitterleger, a picturesque alpine meadow. From there, we continue to Mittersee, a hidden forest lake that is particularly striking in early summer. Mittersee is a seasonal lake and does not hold water year-round, but its magical atmosphere amidst the forest makes it a special destination. Finally, we descend further to the historic Grand Hotel Carezza, where we end our hike in a relaxed manner. From here, we take the bus back to the Frommer Alm, where the Tiers cable car brings us to our starting point. Would you like to join us and help create a cleaner environment? Experience nature and do something good: our hike in the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the chance to actively protect the environment: Together, we clean up litter and send a strong message for sustainability. CleanUP kits can be picked up directly at the information point by the Völser Weiher, so all participants are well equipped for litter collection. The information point also serves as a collection station, where the waste gathered in the forest can be dropped off. The cleanup hike begins at the Völser Weiher Information point at 1,050 meters and leads to the Tuffalm at an altitude of 1,270 meters. The cleanup will take approximately 2 hours and covers around 4 kilometers. Minors may only participate if accompanied by a parent. The CleanUp Days taking place in South Tyrol from September 18 to 21, 2025, are supported by a broad network: during these four days of action, South Tyrol’s nature parks, IDM South Tyrol, the PATRON association, and numerous local tourism organizations invite citizens to clean up trails and walking paths by collecting litter from the environment.

Together with our mountain guide Manuel we will start our crossing of the Prags Dolomites from the Brunst Alp. After two hours of hiking we will reach the start of the fixed rope route, where Manuel will give us a short introduction to the equipment. As soon as the climbing harness is properly fastened and the helmet is on, we will start our adventure. After a breathtaking, beautiful climb of difficulty level A (easy) we will reach the exit. If time permits, we will climb up to the summit cross at the Hochalpenkopf and enjoy the spectacular panorama in the middle of the Dolomites, with views of the Prags Dolomites, the Rieserferner and the Zillertal Alps. After a short rest we will descend step by step to the Pragser Wildsee Lake and let the day end comfortably.We will return to Olang by bus and by train and we will look up to the mastered summit with amazement.
