The adventure begins with a comfortable shuttle ride from Brixen to the Villnösstal Valley, arriving at Zanser Alm – from here, the real bike journey kicks off! We start on a forest road heading toward the Gampen Alm, accompanied by breathtaking views of the Dolomites and the Villnösser Geisler Peaks. The route then continues to the Schlüterhütte mountain hut. The final climb to this point demands a serious effort – but the view from the highest point of the tour is worth every drop of sweat. It’s the perfect place for a short panoramic break. After that, things get a bit more relaxed: we follow varied trails and gravel paths, with gentle climbs and descents, riding on toward the Gömajoch, passing the Göma Hut, and reaching the well-known Würzjoch. Would you like to join us and help create a cleaner environment? Experience nature and do something good: our hike in the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the chance to actively protect the environment: Together, we clean up litter and send a strong message for sustainability. CleanUP kits can be picked up directly at the information point by the Völser Weiher, so all participants are well equipped for litter collection. The information point also serves as a collection station, where the waste gathered in the forest can be dropped off. The cleanup hike begins at the Völser Weiher Information point at 1,050 meters and leads to the Tuffalm at an altitude of 1,270 meters. The cleanup will take approximately 2 hours and covers around 4 kilometers. Minors may only participate if accompanied by a parent. The CleanUp Days taking place in South Tyrol from September 18 to 21, 2025, are supported by a broad network: during these four days of action, South Tyrol’s nature parks, IDM South Tyrol, the PATRON association, and numerous local tourism organizations invite citizens to clean up trails and walking paths by collecting litter from the environment.

The hike culminates in the most magical moment of the day: sunset, when the natural phenomenon of Enrosadira sets the Dolomites ablaze with incredible shades of pink, orange, and red. Along the way, Gabriel shares his personal approach to photography—rooted in presence, observation, and a deep connection to the environment. No professional gear is required: even a smartphone is more than enough. What truly matters is your perspective, curiosity, and openness to inspiration from light and landscape. Together with our mountain guide Manuel we will start our crossing of the Prags Dolomites from the Brunst Alp. After two hours of hiking we will reach the start of the fixed rope route, where Manuel will give us a short introduction to the equipment. As soon as the climbing harness is properly fastened and the helmet is on, we will start our adventure. After a breathtaking, beautiful climb of difficulty level A (easy) we will reach the exit. If time permits, we will climb up to the summit cross at the Hochalpenkopf and enjoy the spectacular panorama in the middle of the Dolomites, with views of the Prags Dolomites, the Rieserferner and the Zillertal Alps. After a short rest we will descend step by step to the Pragser Wildsee Lake and let the day end comfortably.We will return to Olang by bus and by train and we will look up to the mastered summit with amazement. From September 18 to 21, 2025, the PATRON CleanUP Tour stops in South Tyrol – four unforgettable days where every helping hand counts. Of course, we’re taking part – and you? Since 2019, Plasticfreepeaks has been organizing CleanUP Days where volunteers head out to free nature from waste. Be part of the movement and join this special hike in Val Casies Valley. We start at 09:00 am at the bus stop at the valley head in S. Maddalena and follow trail no. 49 to the idyllic Pidig Alpine huts. For less experienced hikers, this section is especially suitable – you can return on your own from the Pidig huts. Those who want to go further continue to the Oberbergalm and then hike up to the Gsieser Törl (2,200 m), the mountain pass to East Tyrol. The way back leads along the scenic Almweg 2000 to the Weißbach Alm and then along trail no. 53 to the starting point. Difficulty: medium. Duration: 09:00 am. -03:30 pm. Total distance: 15.2 km. From 18th to 21st September, we will join together to collect waste thanks to the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days. The project is organised by the non-profit association Patron. As part of the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days, 13 South Tyrolean destinations are calling for nature to be cleared of rubbish. The clean-up takes place in Eggental, Seiser Alm, Villnösstal, Olang, Südtirols Süden with Aldein and Radein, Ahrntal, Dolomiten Panorama Region Gsiesertal-Welsberg-Taisten, 3 Zinnen Dolomites, Lana & surroundings, Gitschberg-Jochtal, Lüsen, Ratschings and Tschöggelberg. Furthermore, in IDM South Tyrol we have found a partner who cares as much about our planet as we do. The concept is easy to explain: by forming small groups, numerous nature lovers set out to collect rubbish scattered in forests, on the shores of lakes, in municipalities... in short, wherever rubbish has been left behind. Here, participants can directly enter their chosen date and route.

The CleanUP Days South Tyrol are a joint initiative in support of nature and environmental protection. From September 18 to 21, 2025, dedicated people all over South Tyrol will remove refuse from nature, helping to preserve a clean and unspoiled landscape.

To help with litter collection, a free CleanUP Kit is provided, consisting of a rubbish bag and a durable stainless-steel litter picker. The kit can be picked up at one of the designated collection points.

The large-scale clean-up campaign is organised by the non-profit association Patron. For the first time, eight South Tyrolean destinations and their respective nature parks are taking part, and IDM South Tyrol is also taking part. Anyone can take part

Clean up together for a healthy nature! From September 18 to 21, 2025, the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days return to South Tyrol: four days to get outdoors and collect litter together! The event is organized by the non-profit association PATRON, which inspires people to actively take care of the environment. This year, 13 South Tyrolean destinations are participating. The idea is simple: nature enthusiasts form small groups to pick up litter – in the mountains, forests, along lakes, or in towns – wherever it is needed. Participating not only makes a real difference for the environment, but also offers a special outdoor experience shared with others. Each participant receives a free CleanUP Kit, including a reusable bag and a high-quality stainless steel litter picker, available at designated distribution points. The South Tyrol CleanUP Days are entering their third round - for the first time on the Tschögglberg!
