From the agreed meeting point at the parking lot at the freeway exit, we set off - ideally in carpools - towards the top of the Penser Joch (the transition between the Eisacktal Valley and the Sarntal Valley). Alternatively, by prior arrangement, anyone who wishes can drive directly to the parking lots below the Penser Joch, the starting point of our hike. From this position, our path leads mostly along the ridge, gently ascending and not very difficult, always accompanied by breathtaking views. Our destination is the summit of the Zinseler (2,422 m), from where we can enjoy an impressive panoramic view. The panorama stretches from the glaciers of the eastern main Alpine ridge over the Pustertal valley to the Dolomites in the south and extends westwards over the Sarntal Alps to the Swiss border. The view down into the valley basin of Sterzing is particularly impressive, where the lights of the old town and the striking Zwölferturm tower create a picturesque scene. The highlight of our tour will undoubtedly be the unforgettable sunset, which transforms the sky into a fascinating play of colors. South Tyrol is renowned worldwide for its majestic mountains, clear Alpine lakes and idyllic walking trails. Starting from the Winnebachtal car park (1,412 metres), we will make our way into the valley along the slightly ascending path that leads to the Astnerberg Alm pasture. From that point, the path gets steeper until we reach the waterfall, where a gentler section starts. This is followed by another ascent of medium difficulty to the Tiefrastenhütte hut and lake, where we will be welcomed by a staggering panorama that will make us forget all the effort. Experience the nature park in Ötzi's footsteps The children hike with the nature park rangers from the Vernagt meeting point into the Tisental valley in the Texel Group Nature Park. This is where Ötzi, the famous glacier man, travelled 5,300 years ago. We will look for traces of animals that are characteristic of the forest and mountain areas and try to observe them with binoculars. We will identify plants, herbs and minerals and consider what this area might have looked like around 5,000 years ago. A playful and exciting search for answers can begin! The ranger days are aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 12 and participation is free of charge!

Ride the chairlift up to the Haunold/Baranci. From there we go in search of the giant Haunold and can explore his kingdom at various stations. The hike then continues across the Schmiedelwiesen to the Wildbad and its various water sources. Early in the morning, we set off with Margareth on a sunrise hike. Meeting point is at the large hiking map near the Gasserhütte – from there we begin our walk to reach the Toten Kirchl in time for sunrise. The 8 summit march - a mountain tour of a special kind! This high alpine extreme tour covers 25 km and 3,000 metres in altitude. This summer, visitors to Rosskopf can look forward to a truly extraordinary experience: sunrise concerts with a mountain breakfast at the Wishing Bell. In the magical atmosphere of early morning, guests are treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the Stubai Alps. The adventure begins in the early hours, with the cable car transporting you from Sterzing to 1,860 metres above sea level. From there, accompanied by a hiking guide, you’ll ascend the final 350 metres on foot to the “Köpfl” to witness the sunrise over the Zillertal Alps and the Dolomites in the east. At the Wishing Bell, the sunrise concert welcomes the first rays of the new day in a magical atmosphere. A regional mountain breakfast completes the experience. Served high up at 2,120 meters, it is without doubt a truly unique highlight! A total of four concerts offer a great variety. The sunrise concerts begin on 27th of July with a performance by the civic chapel of Sterzing. The band "Elviras Kiss" will follow on 06 th of August, followed the band "Timbreroots" on the 10th August, Jimi Henndreck" on the 27th of August 2025. The journey takes place by bus via Chiusa to the Alpe of Villandro. Our tour begins at the Gasser hut. From there, the hiking trail leads to the Lake Totensee which is reached in about an hour and a half. From the Totenkirchl church, it is only about a ten-minute walk to the picturesque lake. Via the “Prackfiederer Jöchl” pass, we reach the Stöffl hut, where we have our lunch. After a leisurely break, we descend back to the Gasser hut and take the bus back to Laion. We start at the Haslhof farm above Göflan and hike on leisurely paths through meadows and forests, past the coal fields to the Göflaner Alm, where we stop for a bite to eat. Covelano marble is quarried above this mountain pasture. We then descend to the village of Tarnell above Laas. The bus picks us up again there. The famous Lasa marble, which comes from the same mountain as the Covelano marble, is processed in Lasa. We take the bus to the Öbersthöfe in Vernuer/Vernurio. The hike leads us along trail no. 5 to the alpine hut Obisellalm and the natural mountain lake Obisellsee. With hiking guide Marlene, we continue along trail no. 21 to the Hahnenkammhütte hut, offering a wonderful panoramic view over the Merano basin. We return to the starting point via a beautiful forest path. Walking time: approx. 5 h | Difference in altitude: approx. 880 m The hike will be in German and Italian.
