Christmas magic at the Fritzenhof
On 8 December, the Praxmarer wine estate will open its doors, transforming the courtyard of the Fritzenhof into an enchanting setting.

The golden autumn has given up its colorful place and left the stage to winter for the most contemplative time of the year. With a promising tone, lights and angels, Christmas trees and a small Christmas market announce the holiday season in Kaltern, which makes the most of its smaller size with nothing lacking. A contemplative village stroll if desired, enjoying wine and fine treats in festive garb, embedded in culinary traditions with both old customs and new practices that will join them. A celebration of joy, sharing, and community, surrounded by music and hospitality in the heart of Kaltern.

Workshops and entertainment for children. Christmas is an exciting time for children, and the Merano Christmas Markets have reserved a space for them dedicated to imagination and creativity.

Advent market with natural products from the Ritten and traditional rural crafts in the park of the Ritten Middle School/Station in Klobenstein, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Festive atmosphere is provided by the Ritten alphorn players, along with culinary treats and seasonal hot drinks. Once again this year, there will be a lucky draw with a great main prize. All proceeds will be donated to charity. A nighttime adventure you shouldn’t miss in winter!

At the Allriss Hut in the Pflersch Valley, you can enjoy moonlit tobogganing with friends and soak up the unique atmosphere of the winter mountains. Since the toboggan run is not illuminated, we recommend bringing a headlamp.

You can reach the mountain hut on foot in about 1 hour from St. Anton (Pflersch Valley).

The Allriss Hut is open every Tuesday and Friday until 10:00 p.m. (hot meals served until 8:00 p.m.).

We start with our hiking guide in front of the information office in Laion, where the cab will take us to Monte Pana (1600m). From here we take the shuttle (for a fee), he brings us to above Monte Pana. From here we hike trought the Ochsenwald and then to the Zallinger inn (2054m). Stopover at the hut followed by a joint toboggan run (for a fee) or by foot (by arrangement) down to Saltria, where a shuttle take us back to Monte Pana. Thanks to an innovative system, you can start off in complete tranquility and then descend steeply through woods and meadows at a speed of up to 100 km/h. The distance covered is a good 1.5 km with an altitude difference of 409 meters. An adrenaline experience that will surprise you!
