Founded in 1927, the Hockey Club Gherdëina is one of the most historic ice hockey clubs in South Tyrol. An unusual assignment from God, seven overwhelmed angels, and seven surprised shepherds – and right in the middle, a talking, shining star. This is how a humorous nativity play begins, showing the birth of Jesus “behind the scenes.”
Because the prophets announced Christ’s arrival imprecisely, nothing is prepared: the schedule doesn’t fit, and the angels have to improvise. The result is a lively and warm-hearted chaos – with angels organizing frantically, shepherds barely able to believe what’s happening, and a star trying to keep everyone on track.

Every Monday evening, Olang glows with a very special atmosphere: during the torchlight hike, you can discover the winter village bathed in the warm glow of flickering flames – a truly magical experience. The leisurely walk lasts about 45 minutes and leads you through the snow-covered landscape – a highlight for young and old alike. The shimmering lights create a unique mood, making this evening an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

At the end of the hike, a apple mulled-wine mix (alcohol-free) or mulled wine awaits you at the Panorama Restaurant, the perfect way to round off this enchanting evening in the Dolomites.

Here, our little artists are in demand. Using various edible decorations, children – together with their parents if they wish – can decorate a traditional “Spitzbub” cookie and take it home.

Monday, 05.01.2026 – CRAFTING HOUR:
Children can individually design a Sesto fabric bag. With different colours and shapes, the bags become a unique souvenir and keepsake.
The price includes the bags and all materials used.

Wednesday, 11.02.2026 – KROPFN DECORATING:
Perfect for the carnival season, traditional carnival doughnuts can be decorated with various edible toppings.
The price includes the decorated pastry, warm tea, and a traditional Tyrolean apron.

Monday, 16.02.2026 – LEGEND HOUR:
The old legend of the “Knödelweible” comes to life again. While immersing oneself in the story, the reading is experienced in an active and participatory way.

When the stars and the moon are shining from the sky, a new adventure can begin. The funicular takes you up to Alpe Resciesa in the Nature Park Puez–Odle. In the restaurant at the top you can enjoy a delicious dinner.
