The traditional Brenner market takes place every 5th and 20th of the month throughout the year. If this day falls on a Sunday or public holiday, then the market takes place on Saturday before. At the market stalls many different interesting things, such as clothing, utensils and goodies for snacking are waiting. A cold, starry January is making its way into the heart of winter, and a magic can be felt in the air. The children are excited and full of enthusiasm, because they know that this evening will be special. It is the evening of the meeting with the "poscignara", the Ladin Befana! After her arrival, the Befana begins to distribute her gifts, taking small packages from her bag and handing them out to the children. The farmwomen from La Val will be delighted to treat you with specialties from the Ladin tradition!

Experience the tradition of the "Donacia" and the Three Kings at the Christmas market in Corvara, a Ladin tradition that is still preserved today! The Donacia, the Ladin Befana and an old witch, comes with a large broom to sweep away the old year and drive out evil spirits. For the children who have behaved well, she brings a sweet surprise! She is accompanied by the Three Kings, Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, who visit the Baby Jesus and honor him with songs, gold, frankincense, and myrrh. These ancient traditions, full of songs, gifts, and rituals, make the Epiphany a special moment you won't want to miss.

Christmas in Brixen ends with the arrival of the long-awaited Befana on the cathedral square, followed by the Three Kings and a procession with over sixty costumed performers.

Every Wednesday evening in January and February, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the ice rink in Gossensass transforms into a glittering sheet of ice for night owls. Enjoy the special experience of gliding across the ice to music and sparkling lights.

Evening amission is free with the activeCARD - so put on your skates and let´s go!

In this concert series, the stage is transformed into a small, intimate workshop where children can experiment and experience excitement. Through listening, movement and interaction, children will be the true protagonists of the experience. Among music stands and instruments – in this case violins, violas and cellos – they will be able to try their hand at creating their own concert, discovering the joy of music for themselves.

Anna-Maria from the Kronlechnerhof farm is a farmer with passion. On her farm in Welschnofen | Nova Levante there are various animals and in summer she has a colourful garden with all types of vegetables and fruits. After the tour of the farm, it’s time to get hands-on. Under Anna-Maria’s guidance, you’ll prepare different types of dumplings using products from the farm and experience a true piece of South Tyrolean culinary tradition. At the end, the homemade specialties are enjoyed together – and you can take the recipes home with you.

With dynamic formations, impressive light effects, music and acrobatic elements, the Val Gardena ski schools showcase their passion, skill and long-standing tradition in one breathtaking performance.

The team includes former World Cup athletes, professional coaches, freestyle and cross-country specialists, as well as instructors dedicated to teaching children and people with disabilities.

The Dumpling Pleasure Marathon – An event where active fun, nature and cuisine come together! Along the 50 km Val Casies cross-country trail, skiers can join at many access points and set their own pace. Walkers use the signposted winter hiking paths that lead past participating venues. From 11:00–16:00, hosts serve dumpling specialities – from hearty speck dumplings to beetroot and herb dumplings, through to dumplings with goulash; for dessert, sweet dumplings. It’s about the experience, not the race.

On January 27, 2026, at 9:48 a.m. the Olympic torch relay will arrive in Dobbiaco and pass through our town on its journey to the Winter Games.
This extraordinary event will bring the Olympic spirit directly to our community and offer all residents and guests the opportunity to be part of a historic moment.

Along the route, the flame will be ceremoniously accompanied by torchbearers, and Dobbiaco will honor this special day with festive moments and a warm welcome for the participating athletes.

We look forward to celebrating this symbol of peace, fairness, and international solidarity together.

In the evening we set off for a special experience in the mountains.
We enjoy the tranquility of the atmosphere and hike togheter on the Alpe di Siusi and experience the magic of the full moon, while I am going to tell you interesting stories about the area.
To conclude our hike we stop for dinner at the Gostner hut.

Moonlight Classic - cross country race by night Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm is a cross-country-skiing race on the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi / South Tyrol / Italy. The distances are 15 and 30 km,the classic diagonal style only is allowed. We promote young talents, support us! For every registration, the Moonlight Classic organisation committee donates one Euro, which will be doubled by a sponsor, to the South Tyrolean Sports Aid in order to support the young athlethes.

On the Long Saturdays, experience tobogganing fun in a different way: For all those who can't get enough of winter sports, the cable car runs even longer on these days! The cable car runs from 08:30 to 16:30 and from 17:00 to 19:00, all huts are also open for you. Dinner in the huts only for guests with reservation!
