Schliniger Alm festival with cheese cutting! This year, the traditional Schliniger Alm festival will once again take place on the Schliniger Alm alpine pasture. The festival then begins on the Schliniger Alm alpine pasture at around 10.30 am. The cheese is then officially cut at 11.30 am. Food and drink as well as musical entertainment will be provided! At the 'Bauer am Stein' farm in Foiana 70 goats white goats stretch out towards you, waiting to be stroked. Farmer Karin explains how these lively ruminants are fed, milked and cared for. As true gourmets they prefer to eat fresh grass and leaves, but they also get some tasty snacks made especially for them. After the birth of the first kid, the mother goat gives milk. She is milked twice a day and, unlike cows, has an cows, she has an udder with only two teats. If you want, you can taste the milk, also called 'white gold'. When walking in nature with your eyes open, you will find lots of materials that can be used to create surprising things. In the small workshop in the centre of Ortisei, pebbles, moss, seeds, wood, leaves, pinecones, and other natural materials are used to build small works of art together with the children. Thanks to this workshop with the Nature Park Ranger the creations can be taken home and remind even after the holidays what great things can be made with such simple materials and a little imagination. - Founded in 1978, the Puez-Geisler / Puez-Odle Nature Park extends to Würzjoch / Passo delle Erbe in the north, Grödner Joch / Passo Gardena in the south, Gadertal / Val Badia valley (Kampill, Untermoj / Longiarü, Antermöia) in the east and Villnößtal / Val di Funes and Grödntal / Val Gardena in the west. The northern portion of the park encompasses Aferer / Odle di Eores, Villnösser Geisler / Odle di Funes and Peitlerkofel / Sas da Pütia, while the southern portion encompasses the highlands of Gherdenacia, Sassongher, Puez (including Langental / Vallunga) and the Cir mountains. The park was enlarged in 1999 and now extends over an area of around 10,722 hectares belonging to the villages of Abtei / Badia, Corvara, Villnöss / Funes, St.Martin in Thurn / S. Martino in Badia, St.Ulrich / Ortisei, St. Christina / S. Cristina in Gröden and Wolkenstein in Gröden / Selva di Gardena. Fancy a varied hike where you can experience the secrets of nature? Then join us on our guided tour through the picturesque Seebertal valley - a real jewel in the Texelgruppe Nature Park. The guided hike starts at the Oberglaneggalm hut car park and takes you through an impressive high mountain landscape to the Seebersee lake. Surrounded by mighty rocky giants such as the Hochfirst (3,403 m) and the Granatkogel (3,302 m), the view is a sight to marvel at. Reed grass is reflected in the green-blue water, fish frolic beneath the surface - and with a bit of luck, you might even spot marmots. Their characteristic whistling can almost always be heard. Perhaps one of the rare alpine butterflies will cross your path - keep your eyes peeled! The way back is via the Seeberalm hut back to the starting point. You will be accompanied by a trained nature park guide, who will provide fascinating insights along the way: which plants grow here? How does the landscape change throughout the year? Which animals are native, and how do humans and nature share this space? The tour is part of a series of nine guided hikes through the Texelgruppe Nature Park - each with a different destination, each path offering new perspectives. What defines a rocket? Why do rockets fly? What needs to be considered during launch? How do rockets move in the universe? How long will it be before the first tourists fly into space? Questions upon questions that the Planetarium South Tyrol tries to answer for curious rocket builders at a workshop for children. The main focus is on how such a rocket works and what the rebound principle is all about. After all, this is the prerequisite for building a paper rocket that can compete with the competition. The Schabs Music Band hails from the beautiful Valle d'Isarco and was founded in the autumn of 1984 by six music enthusiasts and the parish priest at the time. Today, the band has 68 active members. As one of the youngest bands in South Tyrol, the Schabs Music Band celebrated its 40th anniversary last year. Conductor Stephan Obexer and Chairman Michael Rizzi are delighted to spend an entertaining concert evening with you and the Schabs Music Band!
