From the centre of Barbiano/Eisacktal we hike in the direction of the ‘Trimm Dich Weg’, past the sports zone to ‘Bad Dreikirchen’, with its three unique chapels built next to each other. We walk along the easy forest path to the ‘Briol’ inn and on to the upper (45 m high) and lower waterfall (85 m high), the highest point of the hike. Now it's downhill and back to the starting point. Experience roasting chestnuts with farmer and wood carver Herbert Kerschbaumer. He explains how to properly collect, carve and roast chestnuts. The chestnuts are then tasted. You are welcome to visit the workshop with the hand-carved wooden figures. Price per person: € 15.00. Meeting point: 3.00 pm at Thalerhof. Duration: 2h.

The traditional Sterzing farmers' market ends with the Sterzing harvest festival on the town square. Experience traditional crafts, South Tyrolean delicacies, freshly prepared sweet temptations and a large selection of products straight from the farm. “Autumn is always our best time”, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe already knew that autumn brings with it a very special atmosphere: the fruit on the trees ripens, the leaves turn colorful and the sky turns a wonderful blue. This is also the case in the town square of Sterzing in South Tyrol on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26, 2024. Friday begins with the traditional farmers' market in the town square, which will take place for the last time in summer 2024. As every Friday, local suppliers offer their products from 09:00 - 13:00. From honey, Wipptal Valley herbal teas, homemade bread and baked goods to fresh vegetables and organic wines, you will find everything to make your heart beat faster at the Sterzing farmers' market. At the last edition, the Wipptal Valley farmers' wives will also be preparing traditional South Tyrolean specialties such as fresh “Tirtlan” with spinach or cabbage filling, as well as Sterzing doughnuts for visitors. The Sterzing Harvest Festival begins on Saturday at 10:00 am on the town square. Throughout the day, there is a farmers' and creative market for visitors, where you can admire and purchase homemade fruit juices and syrups, various tea blends and herbs, farmhouse cheese specialties, homemade jams, fresh eggs and much more. The Stilfes Advent market has a stand with handmade candles and other grave decorations for All Saints' Day. The donations for this will be donated to Südtirol hilft. Doughnuts, fresh apple juice, homemade sausage with cabbage or smoked meat - there is something for every taste! Of course, there is also the typical “Keschtn”, which is a must in the fall. The Jenesier chestnut farmers invite you to the "Keschtnmorkt" in the village center of Jenesien. They await the guests with all kinds of delicacies related to chestnuts, good things from the autumn farmer's kitchen and naturally roasted chestnuts as well as home-grown wines and homemade juices of all kinds.

The KFS (family association) is organising a small St. Martin's Day celebration on 11th November. Meeting point at 5.30 pm in the school yard. Followed by a candlelight parade into the church of St. Peter. The members of the family association are looking forward to many colourful lights and shining children's eyes.

On 11th November, a St Martin's procession will be organised in Teis. We will leave together with the lanterns at 5.30 pm from the church square towards the festival square. Anyone can join the procession on the way. There we will celebrate a short devotion with St Martin and end the evening with chestnuts and tea.

For the fourth time, the Höllenschlucht Krampus Lana are organizing their popular “Night of Hell”, now well known beyond South Tyrol’s borders. On November 22, 2025, the area around the Lana sports zone will once again be transformed into a fiery spectacle. Starting at 5:00 PM, 34 Krampus groups from across the Alpine region will parade from Lana South’s industrial zone to the sports field, where a thrilling show awaits. Along the route, food and drink stands will offer refreshments, and many local associations will support the event, including emergency services, the Lana music band, and youth and cultural groups. The evening will continue with an Aftershow Party featuring three stages: live music by “Firedrops”, DJs in the main tent, and an outdoor Après-Ski area — something for everyone!
