The Villandro Nativity Scene Friends are creating a Nativity Scene Route in the village from the village to the parish church for the entire Advent period until the Three Wise Men. Showcases have been made in which various nativity scenes are exhibited.

From November 30, 2025, to January 6, 2026, Tramin will shine for the sixth time with Christmas splendor: the Tramin Advent Fountains invite visitors to a contemplative winter stroll through the festively decorated village. In total, 17 lovingly crafted fountains – from Rungg to Bethlehem and the village center, as well as in St. Jakob, the northern districts, and Söll – will be illuminated by local residents with festive decorations. A heartfelt thanks goes to them for their dedication and creativity. Especially by candlelight on the Advent Sundays, the historic fountains exude a special charm and invite visitors to pause, marvel, and linger.

A cheerful winter story about friendship, courage, and the magic of Christmas – to listen to, feel with, and smile about. The reading will take place only in German.

The branches of St. Barbara have always been cut and preserved on 4 December. In the warmth of our living rooms, the closed buds of the fruit branches open even in the cold winter months and bloom until Christmas Eve. At the Christmas market, we distribute the branches in exchange for a voluntary donation, which goes to the OEW partner project ‘Vida y esperanza’ for marginalised schoolchildren in Bolivia.

In a valley in which dialect and garb are still alive, it is not unusual that its tradition is thoroughly cultivated. The „Klöckeln“, is a pre-Christian custom practised the first weeks of December and has an old tradition.

The traditional St. Nicholas parade in Malles will take place again this year on 5 December 2025. It starts at 2 pm with the St Nicholas wake-up The spectacle then begins at 8 pm with the traditional St Nicholas parade with several Krampus groups (Route: Despar Rungg to the main square) The Mals Krampus are already looking forward to your visit!

On December 5th, as soon as it gets dark, St. Nicholas accompanied by his angels and his servant Ruprecht crosses the streets of the village and enters the homes of children, bringing them gifts, praising them or reproaching them if necessary. When night falls on 5 December, the Krampus once again roam the dark streets of Margreid according to tradition, rattling their chains, ringing their bells and gathering for a joint parade at 7 p.m. in the historic village centre. After the devilish revelry, the Klommtuifl Margreid invite you to the big Krampus party at the NME wine cooperative.
