Primary and secondary school children from Val Gardena participated in the Giro d'Italia drawing competition. A jury selected the 30 most beautiful, creative and original drawings. The 30 winning pictures will be exhibited on the town hall square of S. Cristina.

We will guide you to eight especially beautiful and powerful cultural places in our region, all of which are marked and numbered on the map. There is an appropriate clue for each place. You need to find a wooden template with a picture on it and then copy it into the correct space on your sheet. Once every location has been visited and all of the images found and correctly entered on the map, the map can be handed in to one of the tourist information offices in Hafling, Mölten or Jenesien. In addition to visit the best cultural spots on the Tschögglberg mountain ridge, you will be rewarded with a little surprise. Important: Don’t forget your pen!

Hike from the parking space "Kratzegg" in Ulfas via the Wintritt mountain meadows to the Schartalm, on to the Ulfasalm and back to the starting point. Together with a trained nature park guide, participants experience the local nature up close and receive information about the flora and fauna of the surroundings.

After first getting to know each other, starting from the animals’ winter quarters in Laces, with the llamas on a leash we walk through the surrounding apple meadows and along a serpentine path up to the castle ruins of Untermontani with a wonderful view over the entire central Vinschgau Valley. Continuing towards Obermontani Castle at the entrance to the Martell Valley, we may walk in the footsteps of our medieval ancestors and listen to the stories of our Llamero Florian before taking a rest at the castle. Florian will not only tell you everything about the llamas, but also about the historically significant surroundings. On an old Waalweg (irrigation channel) we then cross the woods above Laces with our cuddly four-legged friends that leads us to the sunny plateau of the Magrinböden. From there we descend via a forest path to the Bierkeller (refreshments possible), before returning to the starting point. If desired, a shorter route is also possible via Saint Stephen's Chapel (14th century - most extensive Gothic fresco cycle in Tyrol) or just through the surrounding meadows! The tour is especially beautiful during the blossoming time of the apple trees! The hike starts at the village square in Lajen/Laion. From here you walk together with the hiking guide Helmuth via Fonteklaus to Freins. Arrived at Petra's Honey Hut you come to the first tasting. Different honey variations are tasted and different products are discovered. All are self-produced and processed. Now it goes back to Fonteklaus where lunch is already waiting. After lunch we continue to Lusenegg where the taxi will take us to Novale/Ried. Here is the second stop - jam. At the Zinegg farm there is a wide variety of jams to taste. Ready to take a trip into the past? 280 million years ago, a supervolcano dominated the center of the present-day Trentino-Alto Adige region. Mighty porphyry deposits still testify to its activity, while other rock layers interspersed tell of periods of calm, during which plants and animals settled. Some of them left deep traces. Using fossils, animal models and a simulation of the supervolcano, we will bring this lost world to life. Starting March 17 at the South Tyrol Museum of Nature.

Which animals and plants are essential for our bees and where do they find their well-being on certain days and at certain times of the year? The bee in the meadow, the bee at the pond, the bee in the pasture and at the former forest border - special power places for our indispensable helpers are pointed out on a short hike. It is not exclusively about the honey bee - the visitor also gets an insight into the exciting and very different life of the wild bee. Wild bees are the wild relatives of the honey bee and unlike honey bees, most wild bee species do not live in larger social groups. They usually fly through life as loners.
