Seis am Schlern is getting ready for a magical Advent and Christmas season!

In addition to the ice rink in the village square with skate rentals, there will be fascinating magic and fire shows, great live bands, contemplative Advent concerts, and atmospheric Christmas stories, providing a varied program. A winter experience for young and old alike!

WAAG Slam turns three! And everyone’s invited to celebrate!
This will be a special Christmas edition featuring some of the most active local slammers of the moment: Adam Dalpiaz, Manuel Hilber, Filomena Hunglinger, Olivia Kaufmann, Andreas Kofler, Silva Manzardo, Irene Moroder, Lena Simonetti, Team “Michi und Ichi” (Michaela Grüner and Frau S.), and Seamus Wimhurst.
All performances will include a little seasonal motto—“First 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, then…”—and the audience will get their cue to cheer “hui!” every time. Each slammer performs their own original texts, live on stage, with no costumes or props—just their voice, their presence, and their words.
We’ll also be joined by a wonderful special guest: musician Maria Craffonara (Vienna/Brunico), with her violin, her kalimba, and her unmistakable voice. The evening will be hosted by Lene Morgenstern.
Admission is free, but please bring a book with you. One you’ve already read. Or one you’d prefer someone else to read. One that meant a lot to you. Or one you still haven’t fully figured out. One that got you through your studies. Or one someone else should probably study…At the end of the night, you’ll get to take home a different book. “Bring a book / Take a book.”
As always, the audience will be the jury, and only one slammer will take the crown. And then it’s party time.

The golden autumn has given up its colorful place and left the stage to winter for the most contemplative time of the year. Our Christmas market, the Alpine Advent Sarntal Valley, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This year in Val Sarentino, the visitors of our Christmas street market will be enchanted by a myriad of Christmas trees. 20 wooden stands will display the traditional, handcrafted and unique products made in Val Sarentino, while the food and wine stands will offer local goodies such as sweet and airy Krapfen, Striezl (Sarentino-style fried bread) and rye bread. The Christmassy feeling will be heightened by music bands and carol singers and in addition there will be a hands-on workshop and animation shows for the children.

In her creative workshop, everyday materials like paper, cardboard and fabric scraps are reborn as handmade gifts and festive decorations. Children paint with acrylics, learn the art of bookbinding and experience the joy of creating something with their own hands. A colorful blend of creativity, sustainability and Christmas magic for little makers and big dreamers alike.

We want to bring children, families and guests closer to rural culture and traditions on the topic of Christmas. The trail leads from the decorated village centre to the town hall with cookie baking for children, to the crib exhibition and to the Christmas market. Handicraft products are offered at different stalls on the playground. The Christmas experience continues along the trail lit by torchlights and candlelight with special light effects to the "Stockner Waldile" forest, where rural specialities are offered in traditional huts. Fairytales and stories for children are told around the campfire in front of a big Christmas crib and a petting zoo.

The people of Mühlen ring in Advent with the Kothreinemorscht and turn Mühlen into a Kothrein village. With a cozy wooden fence in the village center, where you can get snacks from the grill, from the pan, from the stove. There are also hot and cold drinks. Open fire, cozy company. Every now and then an interlude, for example with the “Klöcklnachtsinger”, with a brick organ player, with steaming “Melchamuis”. The living nativity scene is also a must. And before Christmas, a contemplative Advent concert in the church.

During Alm Advent, the Fane Alm transform into a cozy place filled with festive anticipation on all Advent Sundays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Visitors can look forward to mulled wine, South Tyrolean specialties, a lovingly designed children’s program with crafting and storytelling, as well as stalls offering homemade products.

Each Advent Sunday features its own special highlight:

On the 1st Sunday of Advent (30/11/2025), an alpine devotion takes place at 2 pm, accompanied by a four-part choir and then the brass ensemble of the Valles music band.

On the 2nd Sunday of Advent (07/12/2025), St. Nicholas visits the hut at 2 pm, with musical accompaniment by the Terento men’s choir.

On the 3rd Sunday of Advent (14/12/2025), the brass ensemble of the Rodeneck music band provides contemplative music.

A day full of music, festive atmosphere, craftsmanship, and fun for the whole family awaits all visitors.

An unusual assignment from God, seven overwhelmed angels, and seven surprised shepherds – and right in the middle, a talking, shining star. This is how a humorous nativity play begins, showing the birth of Jesus “behind the scenes.”
Because the prophets announced Christ’s arrival imprecisely, nothing is prepared: the schedule doesn’t fit, and the angels have to improvise. The result is a lively and warm-hearted chaos – with angels organizing frantically, shepherds barely able to believe what’s happening, and a star trying to keep everyone on track.

The event will take place only in German.
