In addition to the permanent exhibitions ‘The Ötzi Find’ and ‘Flora, Fauna, Man’, the archeoParc in Unser Frau presents a small special exhibition every year. This year's edition is called ‘Glaciers and Me’ and is dedicated to two artistic positions on the topic to mark the Year of Glaciers: paintings by Jessie Pitt (Melbourne/Längenfeld) and photographs by Daniela Brugger (Karthaus) together with texts by glaciologist Georg Kaser (Karthaus) invite visitors to discover and reflect. The special exhibition to mark the 800th anniversary of the Castle of Taufers focuses on a medieval and social theme: the relationship between the nobility and the peasantry. The exhibition, curated by Marie Rubner and the Südtiroler Burgeninstitut, can be seen at Castle Taufers from April 18 to November 2, 2025.
The beginning of the 16th century was characterized by social, economic and religious changes. Serfdom severely restricted the rights of the lower classes and forced them to pay additional taxes to aristocratic feudal lords and the clergy. In 1525, the call for equality, justice and freedom grew louder and louder. Discontent soon turned violent and the Peasants’ War broke out like wildfire in Central Europe. 2025 marks the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the peasant revolt. To mark the anniversary, the exhibition “500 Years: Peasants‘ War - Striving for Freedom” allows visitors to immerse themselves in the history of this period.

If you are looking for an exciting human-animal-nature-experience on the mountain, the Pirchhof-Lamas from Birchberg are just right for you. On the llama experience day we want to inspire you all around. First of all, you will look behind the scenes of our llama breeding, get to know our 24-headed llama and alpaca rascals and experience "up close" how our llama kids grow up. We will answer all your questions about husbandry, feeding, care, rearing, training and wool processing and turn you into little llama and alpaca experts. When you are really familiar with the topic, we will start on a leisurely llama and alpaca tour. Halfway through the tour we will take a short break and enjoy the wonderful mountain panorama of the "South Tyrolean Andes". A great backdrop to take souvenir photos with your llama or alpaca. Afterwards we hike back to the farm in a relaxed way. There, a skill course awaits you, which you will master with your animal hiking partner. At the end you will receive your very own "llama or alpaca guide certificate" as a reward. Ideal for families with children from 3 years After the tour you have the possibility to stop at the Brandhof - an idyllically located farm tavern with its own cheese dairy, very close to the Pirchhof llamas. The tour begins in the grain store of Steinhaus, the former warehouse of the mining industry. Afterwards, our guides will lead you through the historic centre of Steinhaus, a unique sight in South Tyrol that was created thanks to the mining industry. The striking red houses, such as the factor house, the Gassegg residence and the church Maria Loreto, as well as the smelting hut are explained. A walk through the centuries old history of the "Ahrner Handel".

From Naturno you cycle comfortably along the Adige cycle path to Merano. From the Thermenplatz square, head eastwards through the Elisabeth Park into the Passeier Valley. Mostly flat, with a slight incline, you can enjoy the marvellous landscape along the Passeier cycle path (19 km). The refreshing air of the Passer accompanies you along the entire cycle path to St. Leonhard. The mountain festival in Gossensass and the Pflersch/Fleres valley. From saturday July 12th to sunday July 27th 2025, everything in Gossensass/Colle Isarco and the Pflersch/Fleres valley will be under the sign of herbs. Traditional herbal dishes, seminars and great hikes will enrich your stay. Get to know the flowers and herbs of the Alps better and take a look at the beneficial power of mountain plants. In addition to the evening mountain dinner at the Edelweisshütte and the herb festival in Ladurns, the highlight of this year's festival is the photo competition.

Every Saturday in July and August: A visit from the Sun Witch or a fun-filled children's program (face painting, meeting the llamas, and more).

Lush alpine meadows, inviting huts and the majestic Tribulaun within reach! From the valley station (meeting point), we take the cable car to the Ladurns mountain station. The trail first leads past the smal lakes "Ladurner Lacken" and continues along the Dolomieu trail to the Teissljöchl/Edelweißhütte hut. This is followed by a short ascent to the Wastenegg, from where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the jagged rock faces of the Tribulaun. Continue slightly downhill to the Teissljöchl and turn left to the hut Edelweißhütte (refreshments available). Finally, an easy hike along a forest path to the Ladurnerhütte, where you will be served a delicious Kaiserschmarrn pancake. Total duration: approx. 4-5h / 400 hm / pure walking time 3h / difficulty: medium. With the right know-how and the right equipment, the risk of an accident can be reduced or avoided - the certified guides from SAAC show you on the bike what is important in terms of accident prevention. Both theoretically and practically, the participants are taught the most important safety aspects, a correct riding technique and the right choice of material and equipment. Therefore, on 12/07 and 13/07/2025, and on 04/10 and 05/10/2025, every bike-interested person has the opportunity to deepen his knowledge and to refine his technique.  A "special edition" of the SAAC Bike Camp will take place too on Kronplatz/Plan de Corones, namely the "Girlpower Bike Camp", especially for women. Anyone who is at least 14 years old and wants to expand and force his bike awareness can participate!

The full moon has something magical for us humans - we like to let ourselves be enchanted by this special atmosphere on a full moon night. And it is in this spirit that the Star Village organises the Full Moon Event with selected restaurants. Ascent by cable car and chairlift to elevation 2400: Speikboden/Sonnklar. Every Tuesday a shuttle takes you to the Schartegg car park on the Tscharser Nörderberg mountain. There is the starting point for wonderful hikes to the different alpine pastures. Mountain bikers can explore the new bike area of Nörderberg mountain starting from the Schartegg car park. Limited booster seats for children are available. Explore the area in a very special way: on a carriage ride with Haflinger horses. Twice a week, Sonja from the Sulfner riding stable harnesses her good-natured blondes and offers an animal and romantic experience for horse lovers of all ages. Duration: 1 hour In case of rain the carriage afternoon is cancelled.

This makes a visit to the old town of Brixen an experience for the whole family. "Brixen for Kids", the year-round free childcare programme, is a special initiative aimed primarily at the local population and all visitors to Brixen's old town.
