A snowshoe hike to discover the winter magic of Resciesa. In the company of a guide you will explore the Resciesa Alp in the middle of the Puez-Odle Nature Park, which offers a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. Arrival by cab via Val Gardena to Ortisei to the valley station Rasciesa (1.304m). Our tour begins with the ride of the funicular (fee required) to the Rasciesa (2,254m). Once you arrive at the mountain station, start heading East by passing behind the hut. Although you'll be following a prepared track, it's possible to put on your snowshoes right away! After only a few minutes you'll reach the Cason hut. Keep wakling until you reach a crucifix, then continue uphill through the woods. Soon you'll reach the edge of the forest and the wide pastures of Resciesa will extend at your feet. You'll notice a little tower made of rocks nearby - it's called "Ciampanil de Livio" and was built by a bored shepherd while his sheep were grazing in the surrounding pastures. From here you'll be able to clearly make out the crest of Resciesa. You can reach it in little time by following a trail uphill. Once you get to the ridge, walk along it to the west (you should be able to make out a crucifix in the distance) and you'll eventually reach the highest part of the alp. Take your time to enjoy the 360 degree view from the top. To your left, you'll be able to admire the pastures above Villandro, to the North the mountains of Zillertal, to the South Alpe di Siusi with mount Sciliar and the Rosengarten, and to the East of course the unmistakable Odle mountains. This view alone is worth the excursion - it's one of the best in the valley. Once you've taken it all in, simply hike back in direction Resciesa hut - that is your last chance to enjoy a well-deserved break before returning to the middle station and getting back to Ortisei. St. Barbara's branches have always been cut and taken home on 4 December. In the warmth of our living rooms, the closed buds of the fruit branches open even during the cold winter season and blossom until Christmas Eve. At the Christmas market we distribute the branches for a voluntary donation, which goes to the OEW partner project "Vida y esperanza" for marginalised school children in Bolivia.

From here we take the shuttle (for a fee), he brings us to above Monte Pana. From here we hike trought the Ochsenwald and then to the Zallinger inn (2054m). Stopover at the hut followed by a joint toboggan run (for a fee) or by foot (by arrangement) down to Saltria, where a shuttle take us back to Monte Pana. In the 40 years of its existence, the Naturno St. Nicholas Festival has developed into an event that is unique throughout South Tyrol and enjoys great popularity every year. You walk at the foot of the Sas Rigais until you finally reach the Geisler Alm (1996m) via the 34 path. After a comfortable break, the descent by a toboggan (for a fee) or by foot (by arrangement) follows via the 34 path to Ranui (1350m). Here the cab is already waiting to take us back to Lajen. St. Nicholas, accompanied by the Brixen Christmas Angels, parades through the atmospheric Old Town and then welcomes the children at the Christmas Market. Together they sing the St. Nicholas song "Let us be merry and bright".

Pre-Christmas Events in Terento. We want to bring children, families and guests closer to rural culture and traditions on the topic of Christmas. The trail leads from the decorated village centre to the town hall with cookie baking for children, to the crib exhibition and to the Christmas market. Handicraft products are offered at different stalls on the playground. The Christmas experience continues along the trail lit by torchlights and candlelight with special light effects to the "Stockner Waldile" forest, where rural specialities are offered in traditional huts. Fairytales and stories for children are told around the campfire in front of a big Christmas crib and a petting zoo.

Candle making is an old, traditional craft. Children and adults dip the candle wick into warm beeswax. With each dip, the candle grows. Candle making is offered by the Waldorf School as part of the St Lucia festivity.

Moonlight Classic - cross country race by night Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm is a cross-country-skiing race on the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi / South Tyrol / Italy. The distances are 15 and 30 km,the classic diagonal style only is allowed. We promote young talents, support us! For every registration, the Moonlight Classic organisation committee donates one Euro, which will be doubled by a sponsor, to the South Tyrolean Sports Aid in order to support the young athlethes.
