On August 10th 2024, the soap football tournament will take place again. The tournament will be held at the riding field starting at 9:00 am. Fans and spectators are invited to watch the games, and afterwards, there will be a party with a DJ.

Children's programme in Steinhaus Working with clay promotes fine motor skills and concentration. The young artists mould various clay pots and figures. By working with sustainable clay, the children learn a conscious approach to natural materials and discover their creativity and manual skills through play. The works of art are then fired in a fire bowl.

Traditional festival & Church Day on the Rittner Horn with an open air Mass at 11 a.m. at the Gasthof Unterhornhaus, followed by festivities with brass music at all the huts on the Rittner Horn. The event only takes place in good weather!

On the mountain Putzenhöhe/Cima Pozzo there will celebrated a Mass (in german language) with the music band of Kiens/Chienes starting at 11.30 a.m.

On Sunday at 16:00, the parade "The traditional costumes of the Ladin valleys" takes place through the centre of S. Cristina, starting from the town square. During the parade, the traditional costumes of Val Gardena, Val Badia, Val di Fassa, Fodom and Ampezzo will be presented. Followed by a concert and demonstration of the traditional costumes.

Every year in August, a particularly large number of shooting stars flit across the night sky. From 17 July to 24 August, the so-called "Perseids" reach their peak this year. This is also the case on Tuesday, 13 August and the Knottnkino cinema in Vöran is the ideal place to keep an eye out for the "lucky charms". Bring a picnic blanket, listen to the pleasant sounds of Julian and Jana and enjoy some tasty snacks ... Members of the South Tyrolean amateur astronomers "Max Valier" will also be there, with telescopes and interesting stories to tell about the night sky. Bozen Brass is an extraordinary brass sextet which does not fit into any traditional patterns. They six musicians from South Tyrol are curiously different and always ready for a surprise. Benjamin Premstaller (french horn), Martin Psaier (trombone), Robert Neumair (trumpet, other instruments and all arrangements), Michael Engl (tuba), Manuel Goller (trumpet) and Anton Ludwig Wilhalm (trumpet) are the members of Bozen Brass and they are ready to take off to new dimensions. Solid musical education in national and international universities combined with practice in international orchestras and ensembles form the basis for their activities. They are a labour of love for music and enthusiastic musicians and they are keen to pass these virtues to their music pupils. That is why they are able to produce the finest sounds with their brass instruments. The audience is invited to follow them on a powerful journey through the musical history covering all kinds of musical styles.

The Ladin Elite Ice Hockey Trophy is a pre-season tournament that takes place annually in August. Three Ladin teams participate in the tournament: Hockey Club Gardena, Fassa Falcons and SG Cortina.
