This year as well, our Sternsinger will bring New Year’s blessings and collect donations to support people in need. Through their dedication, they help fund around 100 charitable projects across the world. With their texts and songs, the Sternsinger share a message of blessing and hope.

Every year, they devote several days of their holidays to support vulnerable communities, bringing the good news from door to door.

At 12:00 PM, one of our Sternsinger groups will be present at Walther Square, offering their blessings and giving a brief introduction to the Sternsingen initiative.

Our Sternsinger show what truly matters: beyond all geographical, ethnic, or religious boundaries, they stand against injustice and poverty — for a fairer world.

The festivities in Colfosco will begin at 4:30 pm with a magical children’s torchlit descent – if you’d like to join, sign up at the Colfosco Ski School – followed at 5:00 pm by the impressive torchlight procession of the instructors from the Colfosco Ski School. The atmosphere will be enlivened by a DJ, and the Colfosco Fire Brigade will add even more cheer with a lottery and plenty of fun. Starting at 6:00 pm, get ready for a unique experience: a laser show will come to life, with colorful beams of light creating shapes and light displays, transforming the surroundings into an immersive and magical wonderland. Celebrate the arrival of the new year with us!

Take part in the traditional torchlight descent together with the ski instructors of the San Cassiano Ski School. It will be a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of skiing down the snow with torches, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The Piz Sorega cable car will be open until 5 p.m. and to make this evening even more special, we are waiting for you with a warm welcome at the Piz Sorega refuge with a hot soup to help warm you up before the exciting descent. The award ceremony of the Snow Sculpture Competition will take place on Tuesday, 30 December 2025 at 4 p.m. on the municipal meadow. During the event, the best works selected by an expert jury will be honoured, and a People’s Choice Award will also be presented. The ceremony will be accompanied by the enchanting sound of alpine horns, adding an authentic alpine touch to this special occasion.

On December 30th at 9:00 PM, Trodena invites you to the traditional torchlight walk.

Together we will walk through the winter landscape with glowing torches and enjoy the special atmosphere of the quiet night. An experience for young and old that combines warmth, togetherness, and the magic of the year’s end.

The Salonorchester Südtirol will perform at the end of 2025 with a cheerful and reflective program, inspired by the famous New Year’s Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic.
The ensemble consists of 15 musicians from South Tyrol and plays works from the rich repertoire of the Strauss dynasty, as well as Franz Lanner, Franz Lehár, and J. Ph. Sousa.
Since 2015, the South Tyrolean musician Günther Ploner has appeared as standing violinist and host.
The well-known tenor Roman Pichler, originally from Brixen, enlivens the 2026 program with arias by W. A. Mozart, Robert Stolz, and Emmerich Kálmán.
Three musicians of the salon orchestra perform solo pieces: Günther Graber on trumpet, Christian Bertoncello on cello, and Werner Mayr on soprano saxophone.

A buffet will be served during the interval and is included in the ticket price.

In the clear winter air, we will follow the warm glow of the torches and explore the nighttime landscape in an enchanting atmosphere. A special experience that brings together tranquility, nature, and a sense of community – perfect for welcoming the new year.

A walk at nightfall takes you along the idyllic landscape of the valley
of Marebbe. The flickering light of the torches will reveal one suggestion after another, creating shadows that animate the silent meadows and woods of the Dolomites with life. To warm up, at the end of the excursion we invite you to enjoy a drink all together.

The fauna of the Dolomites includes many types of known and easily sighted animals, such as squirrels and deers, but includes as many, difficult to see and hear, especially in the world of birds of prey. After an introduction in the Nature Park House Visitor Center (approx. 50 min., only in Italian!), we will drive to the Owls Park, where Mario will show and tell us the peculiarities of his feathered friends.

Traditionally, the ski instructors of the Badia Ski School organise the torchlight descent that takes place at nightfall on the La Crusc slope.
Together with the guests, the ski instructors form a spectacular line of lights with their torches to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
On the arrival, you can enjoy a hot cup of tea or mulled wine accompanied by DJ music.
