The show, a reinterpretation of Sergei Prokofiev's famous musical fairy tale, combines acting, narration and music, with iconic sets by Emanuele Luzzat. Three bumbling actors try to tell the fairy tale... but without having studied it! Through comic gags, improvisation and the help of the audience, the children become an active part of the story, guided by the narrating voice of the “Great Narrator” – none other than Dario Fo, whose 100th birthday is being celebrated this year. In a light-hearted and playful atmosphere, the little ones discover the main instruments of the orchestra and their wonderful and unique language.

Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Merano! This apple tour of Merano's fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film, you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple expert Franz and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple.

Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session.

Flower Festival at Naturno. After a cold winter, we are all the more looking forward to spring: Nature is at full throttle, it begins to bloom, fragrance and sprout. The warming sun attracts colourful flowers and bright buds. In Naturns we welcome spring with a colourful festival. From the farmers to the gardeners, everyone is on their feet organising the spring festival - the whole village and all guests are invited to celebrate! Gardeners present spring flowers and decorations and everything is framed by cheerful traditional music. Be there! The Merano Flower Festival is an event dedicated to flowers, herbs and ornamental plants, which is also held in the towns of Algund, Merano and Scena will take place.

Thanks to the sunny location, the mountain season starts earlier in Naturns than elsewhere. We open the new season on the Merano High Mountain Trail together with the mountain farmers of the Naturnser Sonnenberg mountain. The mountain farmers provide rare insights into their lives, traditions and everyday life. Another highlight is the culinary offer. The Sonnenberg mountain inns and farm taverns will spoil you with tasty dishes from the region.

An exciting journey into the heart of theatre, combining music, storytelling and reflection to introduce students to the magic of the stage and the great themes of opera. Rigoletto intertwines Verdi's drama with the life of a travelling theatre company, transforming each performance into a collective ritual of emotions and truths. With few props, skilful lighting and intense performances, it reveals the boundary between reality and fiction, offering a glimpse into theatre work, stage machinery and behind the scenes. The viewing is accompanied by a reflection on the themes of the opera: the father-daughter relationship, sacrifice for love, disguise, and the desire for transformation. A reading of the female role is also central, to educate students in respect and empathy. An interdisciplinary experience designed to stimulate curiosity and critical thinking.

The International Three Borders Race in Schöneben is a traditional ski race held annually on Easter Monday. The race attracts around 500 participants from South Tyrol, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. In 2025, it will take place on April 06 on the well-groomed Fraiten slope in the Schöneben-Haideralm ski area. The race is a giant slalom that is contested across various age categories, providing both professionals and amateur skiers the opportunity to showcase their skills. The event is accompanied by an award ceremony and live music, making it a memorable day for all involved

The Georgi Market brings spring to the Upper Venosta Valley! This annual market is known throughout the Venosta Valley and offers numerous products, such as flowers, seeds, herbs, shrubs, trees and much more! Numerous local traders sell home-made products and food. Culinary delicacies are also offered by the innkeepers in Mals

Local and international artists transform fountains and cultural-historical treasures into an open-air gallery with their creative ideas. Reflections on ecological, economic and social aspects related to water and light are the basis of the artistic works. Under the motto "Water is life - light is art", an art trail is being created in Brixen's old town.

The Brixen Water Light Festival takes place every two years in May. The idea for the festival was born in 2015 after the premiere of the light and music show at the Hofburg in Brixen. The first edition of the festival was held in May 2017.

A spectacular rafting tour awaits you in Rabland/Rablà and leads you from Tschars/Ciardes through the idyllic landscape of the Vinschgau/Val Venosta Valley. Navigate through splashing rapids, swim in the turquoise waters of the river and enjoy the view of the Southtyrolean Alps. Rafting on the Etsch/Adige River - the splashing action with the team from Rafting Adventure Südtirol.

From game to game: Galloping into the Middle Ages is every spring the returning motto in the Dolomites region Seiser Alm. After the start at the Trostburg Castel in Waidbruck/Ponte Gardena the tournament goes on with four stages: at the Kofel/Mount Calvary in Kastelruth takes place the traditional ring jousting. The second game, the labyrinth, is on program at the Matzlbödele in Seis.The third of four stages takes place at the Völser Weiher lake with its gallop. The tournament concludes with the game at Prösels Castle, the ride through posts. Asfaltart turns 20 years old! 20 years full of passion, laughter, poetry and an incredible cultural mix!
For three days there will be almost 200 shows, including concerts, circus performances, walking acts and clown acts, where many artistic groups with artists from all over the world will turn the popular city of Merano upside down. They will take visitors' breath away with acrobatics, dance, circus arts and clowning. The town center then turns into an open-air stage for clowns, trapeze artists, musicians and fire breathers. The 2024 festival comprises a handicraft market and a gastronomy stall on the Passer Promenade.

The date for the 2025 International Mixed Volleyball Tournament is already set. The 35th edition will take place on June 13th and 14th, 2026. We look forward to seeing you!

Traditional Alpine folk music: reinterpreted by emerging South Tyrolean artists!

On the majestic Nörderberg Mountain in Naturno/Naturns, the Alpine mountain hut season kicks off with a new music festival showcasing upcoming South Tyrolean talent, reinterpreting traditional Alpine folk songs. Throughout the day, four different groups are scheduled to perform at four mountain huts on the Nörderberg.

As every year, the St. Veit market is held in June. This is one of the fairs in the Upper Venosta Valley. To be more precise, it is held on the Tarces hill and in the village of Tarces. In addition to the hustle and bustle of the market, the focus here is also on socialising. With good food and drink, great music and a children's programme, there is something for everyone! There are, of course, handicraft products as well as colourful, tasty and healthy products on offer. In addition to the grocer's market, the farmers' market offers lots of regional and farm produce from the surrounding area. Feel free to drop by!

Every Wednesday, the streets in the centre of Naturno become the scene of culinary delights. Artistic performances, great live bands and a colourful children’s programme ensure entertaining evenings. The shops remain open until late at night.

Barbara and Georg await you at the Lenkhof farm in Avelengo with a great programme. Visit the farm and the animals with them and discover the journey of milk from the cow to the finished butter. Of course, the butter will then be tasted. For children aged 6 -12 years. You are also welcome to accompany your child, please let us know by telephone.
