The traditional lighting of the tree in Piazza Wather marks the opening of the Bolzano Christmas Market 2025, one of the five original Christmas markets in South Tyrol.
Inauguration on Thursday, 27 November 2025, at 5 p.m. in Piazza Walther with welcome speeches, musical interludes and the lighting of the Christmas tree.

This year, the Catholic Family Association of South Tyrol, Hafling branch, cordially invites you to the small Hafling Advent Market.

Visitors can expect a lovely selection of Advent wreaths, Christmas cards, decorations, biscuits and many other handmade items – all in aid of a good cause.

There will be a special highlight on Thursday: visitors will have the opportunity to design their own Advent wreaths and take them home with them if they wish.

Refreshments will of course be provided, ensuring a cosy pre-Christmas get-together.

The minimum number of participants is 5. If there are fewer participants, the hike will not take place.

The Ritten Christmas Market enchants visitors with beautifully decorated stalls, high-quality handicrafts, atmospheric music, and local specialties. A varied programme of events and children’s activities makes a visit to the Ritten Christmas Train Market (Rittner Christbahnl) an unforgettable experience, turning the Advent and Christmas season into something truly special. The Ritten Christmas Train Market at the Oberbozen railway station, in the historic Plattner Beekeeping Museum in Wolfsgruben, and in the village centre of Klobenstein is open during Advent and Christmas time on Fridays from 2 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Ritten Railway connects the three locations every 30 minutes. On all opening days: Nativity scene exhibition at the historic Plattner Farm in Wolfsgruben.
