Brand new this summer are the so-called ‘Children's Saturdays’. These will take place throughout the summer of 2024, each at one of our huts. But what actually happens on these ‘Children's Saturdays’? On each day, our little guests can look forward to a breathtaking experience at the respective hut. Flea market - used items from the household, cellar and attic fill the flea market stall and make you want to rummage and haggle in Oberlana, Raiffeisenhaus Lana car park, 6.00-19.00 (Registration for stand operators under mobile +39 335 612 708 9). The profits from the stall rents go to needy families in Lana and the surrounding area.

Today Badia celebrates the traditional "segra dl paisc", a festival for the whole village! The day begins with a solemn mass in the church, followed by the traditional homecoming of the cattle from the mountain pastures at 3.00 p.m. Of course, there are also culinary specialities and musical entertainment. Join our village festival too! During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.

The legendary Schupfenfest in San Genesio is a rustic gastronomic festival that enthuses locals and tourists alike. The festival offers the opportunity to combine the pleasure of a beautiful hike in the alpine pastures with the enjoyment of traditional South Tyrolean specialities in mountain huts. The itinerary allows visitors to stop along the way at various 'Schupfe', or huts in South Tyrolean dialect, between San Genesio and Meltina, sampling various typical specialities, from the inevitable farmer's snack to dumplings, Strauben and other sweet pancakes. Of course, there is no shortage of good music or company. So, off to the Schupfenfest in Jenesien, possibly in traditional costumes: lederhosen and dirndl!

Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Meran/Merano! This apple tour of Merano's fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple experts and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple. Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session. Registration for participation at the tourist office Marlengo, until monday, 4 p.m. Price 4 € per person. Our guide only speaks german and italian.

From 19 to 22 September, the motto in South Tyrol for four days is: Go out together and collect rubbish at the SOUTH Tyrol CleanUP Days! The large-scale clean-up campaign is organised by the non-profit association Patron. For the first time, eight South Tyrolean destinations and their respective nature parks are taking part, and IDM South Tyrol is also taking part. Anyone can take part Registration and coordination of the routes takes place via the CleanUP Map (interactive map) on https://www.plasticfreepeaks.com/suedtirol. Participants can directly specify the date and route of their self-selected tour here. The required CleanUP Kit for all those interested, consisting of a recyclable and reusable fabric bag and stainless steel tongs, can be collected free of charge at one of the numerous distribution points before setting off. These, as well as the drop-off points for the collected litter, can also be found on the CleanUP Map. At the end of the event, every litter picker has the chance to win valuable prizes from the CleanUP competition.

Bread baking at the Museum: From 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. there will be a demonstration of how bread was baked according to a traditional Passeiertal Valley recipes. Visitors can watch our expert Museum bakers at work as they answer your questions and happily trade tips with those in the know. Participation with tasting and mini-guided tour is included in the admission price.

We hike around Andriano and experience the paths and nature in a different way, because the trees, the stones, the flowers and everything else have a lot to tell. The storyteller and musician Heike Vigl draws from this rich treasure and tells one or two gems, finely garnished with music.

The cattle return from the alpine pastures to the valley and Sesto celebrates! The cows in particular are elaborately decorated on their return from the alpine pastures: the leading cow and the cows that follow her wear wreaths decorated with sayings, images of saints and elaborate embroidery. The Almabtrieb is combined with a festival to celebrate the safe return of the animals.

The return of the herds from summer pastures in the Tel high mountain valley is appropriately celebrated at the Nasereit Alpine shelter, in accordance with the old farming tradition.
