The Pichl is the starting-point for the Gfrill Village Route. From here, you continue to Unterstein and then along the cableway trail until you come to the remains of an abandoned cableway. From here, the Berger Trail will take you to the Old Gfrill Road. Continue along it until your get back to your starting-point at the Pichl.

High above Trafoi is the Goldsee Lake Trail (path nr. 20) which winds through a rock desert. The hiking trail doesn't only offer a magnificent view on the Ortler mounatin, the trail gives you also information about the region. Along the way, theme boards explain the history of the mountain front during the First World War and give an insight into the vegetation and geology.

Walking time: 60 - 90 minutes

Walk along the historic town center „Betlehem“, through the Gewürztraminer vineyards above Tramin-Termeno. Enjoy the Mediterranean culture, the landscape and a unique view on Tramin-Termeno and the environment.

The woodland nature trail was designed in line with scientific principles and, using a variety of different interactive exhibits, communicates a lot of interesting facts about nature, the forest and water.

The hiking trail at the cultural border between South Tyrol and the Province of Trento runs over mountain pastures, meadows and trough forests. The 14 adventure points along the way offer insight into the natural richness and originality of this landscape.

From St. Andrä/S. Andrea near Brixen/Bressanone to the Freienbühel Pilgrimage Church following the Kreuzweg (Way of the Cross). 

This hiking path goes through fabulous beech groves and pictorial forests.

The Plima Gorge, cut deep into the rock over thousands of years, is a narrow, impressive gorge at the foot of Monte Cevedale with almost vertical walls finely polished by iced water. Today, it presents itself as a natural arena for visitors looking for unique natural spectacles.

Starting at the Plose gondola lift mountain station, follow the Lorggenring trail along the WoodyWalk before it branches off at a wide viewing platform. Stop for a minute and enjoy the view of the Dolomites before continuing into a dense woodland. Along the way, hikers learn about the Lorggen, ancient guardians of the forest and its inhabitants. From the Pfannspitz gondola lift valley station, you can quickly arrive at an elevation of 2,545 m. The view of the spectacular Geißler peaks and the surrounding mountains is absolutely phenomenal! Follow the trail along the ridge to the Plosehütte shelter, from where you can return to Kreuztal at the Plose gondola lift mountain station along trails no. 7 and then no. 3. This part of the circuit offers a magnificent panorama of the Brixen basin. The Lorggenring Hiking Circuit is also accessible to families with children, offering hikers of all ages a unique hiking experience on the slopes of the Plose.

At the bottom of the Gantkofel the Eppaner Castle triangle is located. On the art-historic walking tour you get an impression of the mediaeval South Tyrol. The walking tour to the castles takes you to the Castle Triangle. First you reach the Castle Hocheppan, which is one of the most important fortifications of SouthTyrol. After a visit as well as refreshment at the Castle tavern the hike continues to the ruin Boymont. A little bit underneath Castle Korb is located, which derived from the Roman époque and is now a hotel.

On this segment, you will proceed from the famed Pinot Noir village of Montan uphill to Aldein – from 500 meters up to 1,200 meters above sea-level. At the beginning of the segment, you will take the "Wine Forest Water" Trail and pass by the Enn Castle and the Elsenhof farmstead which belongs to it. You will then proceed along the old tracks and through the spruce forests (common here on the southwest flank of the Cislon) and farther to the Aldein Bridge (known as the "Little European Bridge" when first built in the 1960s). This is a good opportunity for hikers to make a rest-stop and/or get some refreshments. You will then proceed to the hamlet of Holen and on to Aldein.

The Haflinger Adventure Trail, which reach from Hafling village to St. Kathrein, is dedicated to the docile and majestic Haflinger horses with their flaxen manes.

At the didactical stations along the way, there’s plenty to learn about the Haflinger horses and how they evolved over time.

Easy and magnificent path from the mountain hut Vorderkas/ inn Jägerrast to the mountain pasture Eishof, also suitable for children and elderly people. In the further course more and more surefootedness is required. 
Tips: the informational boards along the Alpine Pasture Experience Trail (Almerlebnisweg) are interesting. Not far from mountain pasture Rableid, there is a lime kiln, in which the limestone from the Hohe Weiße mountain was fired to make building lime, which was also presumably used to construct the monastery in Certosa/Karthaus.

Ski racers and mountaineers Hans and Paola Steger made their mark on the Seiser Alm like no other, before or since. Pioneers of mountaineering in the Dolomites, they made an immense contribution to the development of skiing on the Seiser Alm: The Hans & Paola Steger trail pays homage to their achievements. Info boards lining the route provide a host of information on the nature and culture of the Seiser Alm. A magnificent Dolomite panorama accompanies hikers along this leisurely yet fascinating trail. 

This walking trail passes through sites of historical interest which narrate the story of Tiers am Rosengarten. In addition to the parish church, notable historic sites en-route include the schoolhouse, the ‘Galgenwiesl’ (Eng: “Gallows Meadows”) field and the St. Sebastian chapel, to name but three of the eleven stations. Each site is indicated by stone tablets and marker stones.

Special Feature Wellness Trail Weißenbach/Rio Bianco. The mountain village of Weißenbach/Rio Bianco—with its rich diversity of local herbs and the elemental forces of water, air and light—offers the ideal setting for the Weißenbach/Rio Bianco Wellness Trail.

Regular exercise amid nature works as an active preventative, helping to achieve a balanced harmony between mind, body and soul. The mountain village of Weißenbach/Rio Bianco provides the ideal backdrop. With its unique and beautiful nature, colourful diversity of local herbs, and elementary forces of water, air and light, this outstanding natural landscape cried out for health trails to be created here.

The three trails represent the three basic pillars of the Kneipp therapy: phytotherapy (the use of natural extracts as medicine) is explained on the Herbal Trail; the cold hydrotherapy can be refreshingly experienced on the Kneipp trail; and the principle of finding a balanced lifestyle through exercise is demonstrated on the Exercise Trail.

Directed to the mountain church of S. Vigilius, the faith trail consists of six stations where we can meditate on the values and issues of life. The faith trail is the bearer of a universal message and is an invitation to discover and strenghten our faith. We travel the paths of our lives searching and believing. The Glacier Trail begins at the parking area near the Enzianhütte at the end of Val Martello. It is divided into 9 sections and can cope in a circular route of about 10 kilometers and an overcoming of 600 meters. The hike is divided into stages and can be shortened or committed in a different order. All in all the tour takes 4 hours.

Stage 3: From the Plima wall to the waterfall - 30 Minutes

On the educationally valuable adventure trail on which visitors gain diverse insights into the forest ecosystem and information about the animal and plant world on various information boards! The forest experience trail conveys the topic of forest and wood in a playful and experience-oriented way. The Forest Adventure Trail is a circular hiking trail with a fantastic view of the Texel Group Nature Park and is particularly suitable for families with children.

Val Gardena Railway was constructed long time ago, when the region was part of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy. In its 44 years during which it was operating, it strongly influenced the valley and brought many tourists to it, above all in the last years. The railway was running from 1916 to 1960 and was completed in record time. In fact, construction was started in September 1915 and in February 1916 the railway was officially inaugurated. 6.000 Russian soldiers who were prisoners during the World War did this great work.

On the comfortable way with panoramic view from S. Cristina to Roncadizza, you will find several information boards with historical pictures, which explain the Val Gardena Railway history.

The "Vorbichl" Adventure Trail is located in Prissiano. This path is ideal for children and adults. 

Attention: the path is not cleared in winter and can be icy in places. Always wear good shoes!

The Health Path Prettau/Predoi offers on 4 km a lot for the human well-being. Exercise in the wood, stunning views and much more. 

In Alta Badia you encounter the oldest culture in South Tyrol and during your excursions it is easy to meet traces of typical cultural assets such as the "viles", the ancient rural settlements with their classic Ladin architecture.

This leisurely circuit leads through meadows and forests slightly above the valley floor, along some of the typical Ladin farmsteads.

The height difference of this walk is small, so the route is recommended even for less experienced and trained hikers.

Spanning Brixen/Bressanone to Franzensfeste/Fortezza, this exciting and instructive theme trail focusses on the history and cultural landscape of the Eisacktal Valley. On the 24 information boards found along the way, there is much to learn about the art and history of the oldest settlement in Tyrol, as well as its natural environment and geology.

The "Hinzl" ring trail offers a tour full o prompts to help you discover the history of Tablá. Divided into fifteen stations, it will lead you from the centre of the Tablá village to the woods on the outskirts, trough clearings, flowering meadows, birch woods and pine forests, pastures and rocky outcrops. In addition to brief tales, legends, anecdotes, historical details and oddities concerning craftsmanship and farm life, you will discover the beauty of the plant life and you can be rejuvenated in romantic and peaceful places, admiring - from magnificent viewpoints - aview that embraces Tablá and Naturno.

The Gereuther Höfeweg farm trail offers insights into the different lifestyles of the Gereuth mountain farmers. Several drinking fountains and vantage points invite visitors to picnic and linger. The circular trail on the Pfeffersberg mountian side can be started from several points and is particularly recommended in spring and autumn.
