The Gereuther Höfeweg farm trail offers insights into the different lifestyles of the Gereuth mountain farmers. Several drinking fountains and vantage points invite visitors to picnic and linger. The circular trail on the Pfeffersberg mountian side can be started from several points and is particularly recommended in spring and autumn.
A starting point for the circular trail is the newly built parking lot above the two mountain farms Egarterhof and Kerschbaumerhof. From there, you walk counterclockwise across meadows, where a great view of the valley and the opposite mountain ranges opens up. Past the Zehrehof farm, you hike alternately along hiking trails, across meadows and through forests to the Feichterhof farm. There it is worth taking a short break and enjoying the view from the large bench. Dolomite peaks, mountain villages, vast forests and the town at your feet. The farm owner regularly fills the beverage cooler there with cold drinks. Continue along a hiking trail through a sparse forest until you reach a rest area with a drinking water station near the Perlungerhof farm. The trail continues downhill to the Wegscheiderhof and Stocknerhof farms and finally to the old sawmill, which was recently renovated. The circular trail continues downhill across steep meadows towards Moarhof and Gruberhof and back to the starting point.
