Relaxing circular hike around Gfrill through forests, meadows and traditional farms with beautiful views of Trudner Horn Nature Park.

The Pichl is the starting-point for the Gfrill Village Route. From here, you continue to Unterstein and then along the cableway trail until you come to the remains of an abandoned cableway. From here, the Berger Trail will take you to the Old Gfrill Road. Continue along it until your get back to your starting-point at the Pichl.

Itinerary
The hike starts in the centre of Gfrill. From the village, the trail follows well-marked paths through meadows, forests and rural landscapes. The route passes traditional mountain farms and crosses quiet mixed forests before returning to Gfrill. Short detours to viewpoints and natural highlights can be added depending on the chosen route. The circular trail is ideal for a relaxed day outdoors without major elevation changes.

The trail is especially beautiful in autumn, when the mixed forests display their colourful foliage and the clear mountain air provides excellent visibility.
Gfrill can be reached by regional bus services. Check current timetables before travelling.
Directions
Take the A22 Brenner Motorway to the Neumarkt–Ora exit. Continue towards Salorno and follow the mountain road uphill to Gfrill.
Parking
Parking is available in the centre of Gfrill or close to the starting point of the hike.
