    Christmas Market of Bolzano 2024/25
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
    The scent is that of cinnamon and spices, of mountain wood and home-made cakes, of mulled wine and festively decorated fir trees. The light is that of the wooden houses all tidy and decorated, the light coming from the Christmas tree and shining in the eyes of the children. The sweet notes of Christmas carols and cheerful harmony waft through the air. Tastes reminiscent of Zelten with candied fruit, apple strudel, homemade biscuits. The warmth in the hands of boiled wool, loden, decorated candles, a steaming cup in the company of friends. The Christmas Market is the most eagerly awaited event of the year: from November 24th to January 6th. Shopping in Bolzano is a reflection of multi-cultural exchange: from traditional South Tyrolean clothing to designer fashion, from traditional stores selling local products to Italian regional delis, from charming local market stalls to the market of piazza delle Erbe, a colourful triumph of fruits, vegetables, flowers and breads.     The magical Sterntaler Christmas Market enchants visitors during the weekends of the Advent season in the town center of Lana with its warm and charming atmosphere. Lovingly decorated stands offer genuine South Tyrolean crafts, along with Christmas specials in the local shops and many other seasonal experiences. Strolling and shopping at the Christmas Market in Lana is particularly cozy and stress-free. During the four Advent weekends, more than 20 stalls offer genuine South Tyrolean artisanal crafts created with passion as unique Christmas gifts. At the culinary stands, visitors will find delicious specialties for every taste: traditional mulled wine, fruity hot apple drinks and soups to warm you up, farmer's bread, stuffed pretzels and Christmas hamburgers are only part of the culinary variety on offer. Atmospheric live music by local bands frames the holiday spirit and hustle and bustle of the market, and young visitors can have fun with pony rides, handicraft workshops and Punch and Judy shows. On 5 and 31 December 2024, only the gastronomic stands are open.
