We start directly in Brixen – pedaling our way to the valley station of the Plose cable car. The Plose gondola takes us comfortably up to 2,023 meters, but from there on, it gets sporty: A scenic ride to the Pfannspitzhütte awaits us, with a challenging climb just before the hut. The hike starts at the "Schnegger Säge" in Valle San Silvestro and follows a gently ascending forest road, passing the charming Silvesteralm 1800 m and leading directly to the picturesque Steinbergalm 1927 m. From there, the trail continues through the forest heading west to the mount Hühnerspiel 2149 m, offering breathtaking views of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage. The descent is via a well-maintained path that later merges back into the forest road, bringing you back to the starting point. This tour is a must – because it’s simply a lot of fun! The guides from Plose Bike have discovered new, challenging trails, accessible with an additional climb. For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, there’s also a classic, easier route. Look forward to three summits and varied trails! The Gitschberg and Jochtal cable cars take care of most of the elevation gain. After a steep climb, we reach the Kleine Gitsch, our first summit. From there, technical, flowy, and rough trails lead us down into the Vals Valley, where a gentle climb brings us to the next lift. After another ride up, we reach our lunch break. Refueled and refreshed, we continue to the second peak, the Stoanamandl. A short rest, a deep breath, and we soak in the view. Then it’s on to the third high point, the Alte Karl, where we enjoy our final summit moment. “Morning is the golden hour”. Never a truer word was said, as you’ll see when you get to the Rosszahnscharte ridge high above the Seiser Alm and behold the glow of early-morning light over the Dolomites at dawn. A shuttle service will take you to the Seiser Alm. Together with the mountain guide, you hike towards Panorama and, later, cross the slopes of the Goldknopf at the foot of the Rosszahnscharte ridge. A narrow hiking trail then winds upwards in a steep ascent to the Rosszahnscharte ridge (2,499 m), for the breath-taking beauty of the sunrise. Just a few minutes’ walk from here will take you to the Tierser Alpl mountain refuge, where you can recharge your batteries for the descent with a mountain breakfast. The legendary Schupfenfest in San Genesio is a rustic gastronomic festival that enthuses locals and tourists alike. The festival offers the opportunity to combine the pleasure of a beautiful hike in the alpine pastures with the enjoyment of traditional South Tyrolean specialities in mountain huts. The itinerary allows visitors to stop along the way at various 'Schupfe', or huts in South Tyrolean dialect, between San Genesio and Meltina, sampling various typical specialities, from the inevitable farmer's snack to dumplings, Strauben and other sweet pancakes. Of course, there is no shortage of good music or company. So, off to the Schupfenfest in Jenesien, possibly in traditional costumes: lederhosen and dirndl!

On Sunday, June 15th e September 15th, the Nigerstraße at the foot of the Rosengarten is reserved for hikers and cyclists. From 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, the road will be closed to cars and motorbikes. The cable cars from Welschnofen (Nova Levante) and Tiers (Tires) will bring all visitors car-free to the Nigerstraße, where the guesthouses along the road will serve regional culinary delights. A horse-drawn carriage will shuttle between Franzin Alm and Frommer Alm every 30 minutes from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. E-bikes can be rented from local bike rental shops by reservation and for a fee. An Outdoor Kitchen awaits you at Restaurant Tschein. At the same time, the Carezza Family Sunday takes place: 2 adults and 2 children can enjoy unlimited rides on all 6 summer lifts in Carezza for only 44 euros. For the thirth season the Nigerstrasse at the foot of the magnificent Rosengarten mountain will be reserved for hikers and cyclists this year on two Sundays (15th June 25 & 21th September 25) from 08.30 a.m. till 4 p.m. During this period of time, the road will be closed for automobiles and motorcycles. The cableways from Welschnofen / Nova Levante and Tiers / Tires will take all visitors to the Nigerstrasse. At the same time, inns and refreshment stops along the way will be serving a variety of culinary delicacies. The finest outdoor cuisine awaits you at the Tschein restaurant. A horse-drawn carriage runs every half hour between Franzin Alm and Malga Frommer - timetable. E-bikes can be rented directly from the local bike rental shops upon registration and payment. At the same time, families can take advantage of the Family Sundays: All families (2 adults and 2 children) are entitled to unlimited rides on the six summer aerial lifts in Carezza – for just 44 Euros. Thus, you can enjoy the fabulous hiking options at the foot of the stunning "Rose Garden" and also use the Welschnofen, König Laurin 1 & König Laurin 2 aerial trams, as well as the Paolina & Tschein chair lifts, and the Tiers / Tires cableway (funicular) for one price. We start at the Rappenhöfe farms in Kalmtal and hike steeply uphill through the forest, later across alpine meadows to the rustic Faglsalm. Here we stop for refreshments and then hike uphill again to the beautifully situated Faglssee lake, surrounded by alpine pastures and mountains. We have reached the highest point here and now hike along the high trail towards the inner valley. At the end of the valley, we then descend slightly to the Valser Alm. Excursion with the forest rangers of the Stelvio National Park in Val d'Ultimo. Starting from the end of September, with the return of autumn, the roar of the red deer echoes through the forests of the Stelvio National Park. Gstral, Kaseracker, Merl-Tennen – The History and stories behind Field Names around Oberbozen with Expert Johannes Ortner. Meeting point: 10 a.m. at Oberbozen train station. Duration: 5 hours, bring a picnic in your backpack. Hiking price: €15, free with RittenCard. Language: German & Italian. On this hike around Oberbozen, we will trace the origins of old Ritten field names such as Gstral, Höll, Kaseracker, and Tennen. Field names are "concise landscape formulas", reflecting the settlement and linguistic history of Ritten. However, these names also hold clues about past agricultural activities, local vegetation, and even prehistoric times. Field names often reflect how people perceived and categorized their surroundings. Ethnologist and name researcher Johannes Ortner will provide further insights into these and other local peculiarities. Registration with the tourist office by 5 p.m. the day before.
