The walk through the village lets you discover S. Cristina's different sights and landmarks. One of them is the Romanesque-Gothic styled church of S. Cristina, which was first mentioned in 1342. Moreover you can walk passed life-size bonze figures, the world's biggest hand-carved crib, a children's playground and two waterfalls. The Raida dl luech is the ideal path to get to know the town of S. Cristina.

According to the legend, a young local inhabitant, Count Jakob von Stetteneck, let it build in the middle of the woods in gratitude for coming back alive from Santiago de Compostela. He dedicated it to Saint Jakob, the protector of all hikers.
Tradition holds that the S. Giacomo church is the oldest one of the whole valley, since its own origin goes back to the 12th century. In historic-artistic terms, its Gothic frescos in the presbytery and the paintings from the 16th century near the pulpit, which represent scenes of the legend, are valuable and unique.
The Resciesa area offers three different running routes with a central starting point at the mountain station of the Resciesa funicular. This circular route invites you to discover the surroundings of the area in a sporty and above all healthy way.

The old rail way is the perfect trail for a jogging tour through the valley. Starting in Selva it passes through S. Cristina and ends in Ortisei. The trail is perfect for all the joggers which loves the flat runnings stail without any different of highnesses as this way is almost flat
We start in Selva at the “Kulturhaus Oswald von Wolkenstein” and follow path no. 30B in the direction of Monte Pana, where we also cross the Ciaslat meadow at the foot of the World Cup downhill route Saslong’s notorious “camel back”. Arriving at the Monte Pana road, we cross this and continue on the hiking trail to the next fork, there we bear right in the direction of S. Cristina and come by way of the Tervela Waterfall to the base station of the Monte Pana chair lift. Here we run directly towards Ruacia, right past the finish area of the Saslong downhill route, up the Ruacia road to the roundabout in the centre of S. Cristina and from there the Tieja Road uphill until we turn right on the old railway and head back to Selva.
This exciting hike in the heart of the Puez-Odle Nature Park leads to the recently built Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage -Viewpoint Mastlé-S. Cristina/Val Gardena. The path winds its way below the imposing vertical Fermeda towers, to the Pieralongia and then to the Seceda mountain located at a higher altitude.

The “Dolomites Saslong Half Marathon” is the new edition of the popular "Val Gardena Mountain Run” and is one of the most scenic mountain runs in the world taking place right here in the heart of the Dolomites.
The 21,1 km trail run (with 900 metres of altitude difference) starts and ends in the beautiful area of Monte Pana and takes the runners along a partial rock and boulder route around the Sassolungo Group. Fantastic views are to be had over the Sella Group, Marmolada, Alpe di Siusi and Sciliar.

Snowshoe hike through the Resciesa forest within the Puez-Odle Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The starting point is at Furnes, the middle station of the Seceda cable car. The hike reaches the top station of Resciesa and continues to the Holy Cross Chapel at 2.189m. Enjoy the 360-degree snowy landscapes and take time to recharge your energy.
This snowshoe trail will take you to the Sëurasas meadows, a place standing out for its lush nature and where peace and quiet reign supreme.
We start at the Selva skating arena and follow path no. 17A to the first station of the cross, and from there on path no. 17A over the Rifugio Juac in the direction of Rifugio Firenze (path no. 3-1) and over path no. 13 into the UNESCO World Heritage Puez-Geisler Park in the direction of Pieralongia. We then take path no. 4A which brings us to the mountain station of the Col Raiser cable car. We continue on path no. 4 to the Gamsblut hut, from there along path no. 1A to the Sangon hut, past the Lech Ciaulonch and then on path no. 3 to the Rifugio Juac, which leads back to the Selva skating arena.
Multi-day trekking tour „Curona de Gherdëina” - On the crown of Val Gardena
“Curona de Gherdëina” is the unique trekking tour on the fascinating mountain crown of Val Gardena on over 2.000 height meters. The 60 kilometres long tour goes from the Natural Park Puez-Odle in the northeast (Unesco World Heritage), to the Sella plateau in the southeast and the Sassolungo mountain group in the south of the valley. The Dolomites show its particular beauty; on every part of the trekking the “pale mountains” seem to take different shapes. Relaxing opportunities are provided in the mountain huts in which you can enjoy typical dishes and live unforgettable sunrises and sunsets.
The Brogles Pass, which can be reached from Rasciesa via a beautiful panoramic trail, is located in the middle of an alpine meadow and behind it are the high rock faces of the extraordinary Odle peaks.
The tour into the Vallunga is the ideal introductory tour for first-time mountain bikers or for families. It is toned-down because the tour goes not go into the upper Vallunga, but only just as far as the mouth of the valley.
