The Regiohof farm of the Brugger family is located in the scenic Val Casies Valley at around 1,400 m a.s.l.. For over 20 years, the family has been specialising in the cultivation of mountain strawberries and has been using the delicious small fruits to produce jams, syrups, nectars and fruit mustard since 2002. Today their product range includes also grappas made from mountain herbs, flowers and fruits, as well as herbal teas, herbal salt and flower salt, honey, and biscuits. Inspired by old recipes, the Bruggers stay true to their motto: "Enjoy like they did back then". We are also available by appointment.
Good whisky takes time. The whisky is aged in underground bunkers from the Second World War. We are aiming for three variant qualities, because the maturation takes place in bourbon barrels from the U.S., Marsala barrels from Sicily and wine barrels from Alto Adige. Whisky fans around the world can look forward to tasting the PUNI fine single malts starting in 2015. They do not seek to be a copy of the Scottish original, but rather, wish to include the terroir of the Vinschgau Valley and Italy.

In our family distillery, we transform the very best of ingredients from South Tyrol into the heights of excellence. Pears from Marling, stone pine from the Villandro Alp and pomace from the vineyards around Merano. Over the past 75 years, we have become experts in the art of distilling. Having brought this experience together with a sensitive touch and love for experiments, we create spirits that are overflowing with charisma. Their quality begins with the fruit tree, the vineyard and the herb garden. And from this point onwards we accompany our ingredients with a vigilant eye, right up to the moment it goes into the bottle. With our manual work and constant monitoring, quality is always at the forefront of our minds. Because it is the subtle nuances that give our brandies, spirits and liqueurs their character.
In 1947 Ignaz Unterthurner produced the first spirits in the Priami Manor in Marling. Stephan and his wife Renate have now brought our story into its third generation. We have modernised it with the greatest of sensitivity and care. Everything that we distil in the clear glass cube is available in our atmospheric vaulted shop. Our range counts over 60 spirits, in all categories: brandies, liqueurs, grappa, digestifs, gin and rum. We have not yet exhausted all the possibilities of distilling. We remain curious.
GSIESA GOGGILAN – ORGANIC EGGS FROM THE VAL CASIES VALLEY. Our organic chickens live in mobile stable right in the middle of our meadows, which means they get fresh grass, air, and sunlight. In our SELF SERVICE farm shop, you can find fresh organic eggs and organic egg noodles from our farm’s own "Gsiesa Goggilan" (eggs from the Val Casies Valley) around the clock. Additionally, we offer Kaminwurzen, bacon, soup chicken, and roasting chickens.
Why do organic eggs cost more than regular free-range eggs? The work involved with a mobile stable is bigger because it is moved to a new spot in our meadows about every two weeks, and additional feed and water need to be brought to the stable.
One egg equals another. Or not? In addition to the higher costs for purchasing and raising organic chickens and the larger space requirements per animal, as stipulated by organic farming guidelines, it is primarily the cost of feed that adds up. Organic grains and legumes are much more expensive than conventionally grown products.
Our hens are fed exclusively certified, GMO-free organic feed. Thanks to their excellent diet, fresh grass, and the ample space to roam in our meadows and fields, our organic meadow eggs simply taste better and contain especially high levels of vitamins (A, D, E), healthy omega-3 fatty acids, and carotenoids. Furthermore, we raise dual-purpose chickens that belong to the “Bruderhahn” initiative. "Dual-purpose" refers to both eggs and meat, meaning that the meat of our organic chickens is used as soup chicken after their active time during whom they lay eggs. In the “Bruderhahn initiative”, male chickens are also raised. The grocery shop of Völs am Schlern is directly located at the main street by the roundabout.
