A hiking adventure to discover South Tyrol's mountains and get to know this unique, enchanting, panoramic world better. Registration required in the tourist information office by 5 pm on the previous day. Limited number of participants.

"Titlá" ("feel free") was the response of an innkeeper 35 years ago when asked if playing music was allowed in his establishment. Since then, South Tyrol’s most successful folk band, Titlá, has been captivating audiences with its unique style of folk music. Drawing inspiration from Irish and Celtic melodies and sounds, the five musicians have forged their own path into traditional Tyrolean folk music. Fiddle and bagpipes, flute and tuba, as well as drums and guitar, all contribute to their unmistakable sound. Their well-crafted, self-composed songs make Titlá instantly recognizable and have brought them success and acclaim beyond the borders of South Tyrol. Their lyrics are deliberately sung in dialect, a way to rediscover and preserve their cultural heritage—both musically and linguistically. The current concert program presents a diverse mix spanning 35 years of shared musical journey.

In summer, contemporary and folk music bands fill the evening air with music in Schenna. Societies in Schenna also organise various forms of entertainment. Our events is entirely dedicated to the Tyrolean sounds of our local music bands. On some evenings, visitors can also enjoy performances by our traditional Bavarian folk dance, folk dance groups and the men's choir.

Starting from the village center, the nature and landscape enthusiast Martin leads you along a trail that winds through quiet streets, passing by the Cantina Merano Winery and several other local wineries. Along the way, you’ll encounter informative panels about the history and culture of wine, as well as larger-than-life winegrowing constructions. This approximately 1, ½ -hour walk concludes with a wine tasting at a local winery in Marling or the Cantina Merano Winery in Marling. Guided by a winemaker or cellar master, you’ll enjoy a selection of local wines paired with a traditional “Marendbrettl” (South Tyrolean snack). Verdins: Volunteer Fire Department festival Visitors to this festival can enjoy folk music and South Tyrolean specialities. All of Verdins gets caught up in the party spirit at the volunteer fire department festival! It’s a date that locals and guests mark red in their diaries – red like the volunteers’ uniforms!

An equestrian event with a guaranteed derby atmosphere: the “Palio” between the municipalities surrounding Merano sees the various teams allotted horses, then competing in races between both Haflinger mounts and thoroughbreds. South Tyrolean specialities and presentations round off the thrilling action on the race track.

Fancy a varied hike where you can experience the secrets of nature? This guided hike in the Texelgruppe Nature Park takes you into a landscape characterised by water and stone - powerful, lively and full of geological features. The start is at the Seeberkehre (Timmelsjochstraße). From there it goes to the Seeberalm hut, then down to Rabenstein/Corvara and the former Kummersee lake, which was formed after a landslide in 1401 and disappeared in 1774 after its last eruption. Along the European long-distance hiking trail E5, we follow the Passer, the main river of the Passeiertal Valley, which is not only a natural habitat but also a source of energy. The trail leads to Moos/Moso. A geological highlight is the "Schneeberger Zug" with its striking limestone formations. This area is part of the fascinating "Colourful Series", a geological zone full of colours, folds and structures. The destination is the village of Moos/Moso. You will be accompanied by a trained nature park guide, who will provide fascinating insights along the way: which plants grow here? How does the landscape change throughout the year? Which animals are native, and how do humans and nature share this space? The tour is part of a series of nine guided hikes through the Texelgruppe Nature Park - each with a different destination, each path offering new perspectives.
