On September 23th, the Raiffeisenplatz in Schenna becomes the stage for an exciting open-air concert. The Big Band Berenbostel from Lower Saxony (Germany) brings fresh energy and a powerful big band sound to South Tyrol. This 30-piece youth ensemble is one of Germany’s leading school big bands. Expect a lively mix of swing, funk, Latin grooves and vocals – perfect for a summer evening full of rhythm and fun. Free entry!

Guided Biketour - Meran 360° Our 360º tour through the Etsch Valley starts in Algund. From there we ride towards Gratsch and then to the Segenbühel viewing point from where we then head towards Merano. Taking several side roads we reach the cycle track leading to Bolzano. At Gargazon we leave the cycle track and reach the fabulous Brandis golf course, from where we pedal towards Tscherms. At Tscherms we ride uphill towards Lebenberg Castle, where we can look forward to a wonderful view of the Burggrafenamt region. At the Haidenhof inn we take a well-deserved break. A lovely scenic road takes us to Marling and then we return along Nörderstrasse to our starting point in Algund. We do 42 km and 700m of elevation gain

Experience the magic of dusk on the Hochmuth! Take the cable car to the mountain station, where a welcome aperitif awaits. The next highlight is on the terrace of the Hochmuth inn: a concert by the "Dorf Tiroler Jagdhornbläser". Finally, your hiking guide will take you along the night-time forest track back into the valley.

Mountain hike in the south of South Tyrol - Weißhorn (2,317 m) By coach, we travel through the Eggental valley over the Lavazè Pass towards Passo Oclini (1,990 m). The hike leads through grassy slopes and mountain pine fields, later becoming a bit more demanding but still manageable for experienced hikers, up to the summit of the Weißhorn (2,317 m). From the top, an almost endless panorama unfolds, along with a breathtaking view into the famous Bletterbach canyon. After a short summit break, we descend to the Gurndinalm (1,954 m) for a lunch break. After lunch, we continue down to Oberradein (1,550 m), where the bus will be waiting for the return journey.

His innovative teaching methods and his openness about being an atheist alienate the local priest and mayor, but not his students, who feel he understands their hopes and dreams. One of those dreams is to see the sea. Antoni Benaiges truly existed, and he really did promise the sea to children who could only imagine it. That promise was perfectly aligned with his educational and pedagogical vision. Free entry.

Our events is entirely dedicated to the Tyrolean sounds of our local music bands. On some evenings, visitors can also enjoy performances by our traditional Bavarian folk dance, folk dance groups and the men's choir.

Excursion with the forest rangers of the Stelvio National Park in Val d'Ultimo. Starting from the end of September, with the return of autumn, the roar of the red deer echoes through the forests of the Stelvio National Park. Well covered from the evening cold and with a bit of luck, you will not only hear the animals but also have the chance to observe them. • Duration: 5 hours • You need: Outdoor clothing, headlamp, backpack (with spare clothes, rain jacket, snacks and drinks), hiking boots, headlamp is recommended • Difficulty: easy • Difference in height uphill 400 m, difference in height downhill 220 m • Tour length: 6,5 km • Price: 20€ including breakfast at the mountain hut • Free transport by shuttle bus from S. Did you know that wild plants are bursting with vitamins and minerals? On a short hike with herbalist Rosi, learn what wild herbs are all about and collect a wide variety of seasonal herbs, which are then creatively processed in a workshop. The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

A special nature experience in the Merano 2000 hiking area. The breathtaking sunrise on the 'Spieler' peak rewards you for the effort you put into leaving your warm bed. After the moderately difficult hike (480 metres altitude), we enjoy a hearty breakfast with South Tyrolean products at the Kirchsteiger Inn.

An afternoon dedicated to apples in the company of the ‘sommelier of apples'. In the orchard he tells how this fruit is cultivated and what characteristics differentiate the different varieties. During the tasting takes participants on a journey through flavours, scents textures and aromas and shows how versatile the apple can be in the kitchen. (In German and Italian language) Price: free. An adventure for the whole family! Participants can experience the thrill of wild water on the Adige River in specially rafts, guided by professional instructors from the outdoor activity organization "Acquaterra". A shuttle service will bring our guests from Algund Town Hall to Kastelbell in the Vinschgau Valley, the starting point of the tour.

Follow the original trail called "Jaufenkamm" no. 16 through the forest and across mountain meadows to the summit with ist panoramic views of the Ötztal, Stubai, Sarntal und Zillertal Alps. Julian from the Wurzer Alm in Hafling has the right spin and is happy to share his knowledge with you. Together you will prepare South Tyrolean dumplings in the traditional way. The location offers a special ambience: the Wurzer Alm, which is nestled between forest and meadows at 1,707 metres above sea level. The prepared dishes are then tasted.

The musical program ranges from traditional music for brass and woodwind instruments with marches, polkas and waltzes to original symphonic brass and woodwind music and modern, sophisticated entertainment. Free entry.

Father Sebastian Kneipp’s water therapy gets the metabolism and circulation moving and demonstrably strengthens the body’s defences. In addition, it also helps with numerous chronic illnesses and nervous complaints such as headaches, migraines, sleep disorders, allergies, stubborn infections, stomach and bowel problems, and inner turmoil. The place and setting where the findings of Father Kneipp are put into practice is as special and impressive as the treatments themselves and the effect of the herbs and plants.

Princesses, citizens, workers, farmers, artists, musicians – who were the women who lived in Merano and helped shape the city over the centuries? How did they live? What stories can be told about these women? In collaboration with the Women’s Museum, we take a women's and gender history walk through Merano’s past, from the Middle Ages to its heyday as a spa town. In October, another walk will take place, focusing on women’s lives in the 20th century.

The Merano Magic Festival will once again be enchanting the town. A gala of magic at the Kursaal will show off the various facets of the illusionist’s art, amusing and mysterious in turns.

On 27 September, the sheep return from their summer pastures. Their homecoming is celebrated at the Timmelsalm hut with the traditional sheep shearing ceremony "Schofschoade". After the shearing, the animals are handed back to their farmers. A special event for locals and guests who would like to experience this day.
