In the exhibition, contemporary witnesses share stories of the clash between contrasting worlds: industry meets tourism, poverty meets prosperity, church meets bikini. It’s about first encounters with strangers, new roles for women, and friendships across borders – but also about stress, construction frenzy, and tough working conditions.

Amid the hustle and bustle of preparations, the father even forgets the birthday of his youngest daughter. Full of energy, the neglected yet spoiled daughter tears out shade-giving trees, commissions the gourmet chef to prepare unicorn roast, and eventually loses her favorite toy — the golden ball — in the trash-filled well. There she encounters a talking frog who helps her change her perspective on the world. Together, they decide not to throw a lavish birthday party but to celebrate nature instead. Her family and the hotel guests are initially surprised, but soon realize that living in harmony with the environment is a step in the right direction. This adaptation of the classic fairy tale is a cheerful and profound piece of devised theatre, created in collaboration with the entire ensemble. With four entertaining stations, lovingly crafted scenes, witty characters, and captivating songs, the audience is taken on an amusing yet thought-provoking journey into the themes of our time.

Dedicated to Tradition and Culture Under this motto, traditional Sunday morning pint events are held in all the villages of the Hinterpasseier. Augusto Zunin (Venezia) student Christine Kurzmann and her husband Jürgen will be presenting the latest jewellery creations with fascinating and sometimes rare opals and other precious stones as part of an appealing exhibition. For over 30 years, the passionately committed team has been combining the goldsmith's craft with artistic imagination. The result is perfectly shaped, vibrant, unique pieces full of harmony and visual lightness. With nature as a model, the flowing nature of the setting, which is carried out with an open flame, caresses the stone. At Kurzmann & Kurzmann, there are no contrived shapes, but lively, organic-looking designs with a strong expression of naturalness that emphasises this naturalness and gives the pieces their unique and unmistakable character. In an interview, Christine Kurzmann said: ‘With our jewellery treasures, we want to express a certain attitude to life that everyone would like to have: light, carefree, harmonious, multi-faceted. The enthusiasm we feel when creating our jewellery is perhaps the secret of the joy of life they are said to radiate.’ Jürgen Kurzmann has already attracted attention in specialist circles with his artefacts such as ‘Laurin’ and ‘The Key to Happiness’. His latest creation, a handbag made from a cocoa nut, horn and lapis lazuli, is currently causing a furore and can also be seen at the exhibition. Our Packraft - Tour homerun (difficulty level medium) is something for adventurous water rats who want to test themselves and conquer the Adige river in their own boat. With action, fun and assertiveness, we master rapids, go around obstacles and relax on calm passages. Accompanied by one of our qualified guides, the tour begins at our rafting base in Rabland/Rablà, where the equipment is handed out. With bag and baggage we go to Ciardes/Tschars. Arriving at the boat entrance, we unpack our packrafts (inflatable kayaks) and pump them up. As soon as all the kayaks are ready, there is an introduction to the paddling technique and a detailed safety briefing. Shortly after, we're off into some extraordinary, splashing water fun. Safety: Only a safe experience is a lasting one. That's why our guides are highly trained. We also make no compromises when it comes to equipment. It is up to date and meets all required standards.

The group exhibition Earthly Communities invites visitors to reflect on the farreaching consequences of European colonization of the indigenous territories of Abya Yala* since the 15th century. In multimedia artworks, eleven international artists explore the traces of colonial intervention in the environment and society. They focus on various areas: agriculture, urbanism, archaeology – as well as extractive processes that continue to cause and reinforce profound ecological and social inequalities to this day. Inspired by Achille Mbembe’s vision of an ‘earthly community’, the exhibition calls for a new, reparative attitude that includes humans, animals, plants, minerals, and spiritual beings alike. The works question the Western understanding of ‘nature’ and open spaces for alternative perspectives in which indigenous resistance, sustainable knowledge and a lived connection to the earth become visible. Local references – such as a return to earlier knowledge in South Tyrol – create a dialogue between global experience and regional responsibility. Earthly Communities thus artistically connects social and ecological justice. * Abya Yala is an indigenous term for the Latin American continent, that from a decolonial perspective, symbolizes living earth and cultural self-determination. At Tholerhof, both young and old, have the opportunity to gain their first riding experiences and get a feel for sitting in the saddle of these fascinating and powerful Haflinger horses and Shetland ponies. After riding, children can help with grooming and taking care of the horses. For more experienced riders, Tholerhof offers great rides in the forest around Aschbach. From high up on the horse, you'll see the surroundings from a more impressive perspective.

Born from the collaboration of Palais Mamming Museum with Brunnenburg and the Merano Academy, the exhibition tells the story of a woman, the work of a poetess, Mary de Rachewiltz, who turns 100 this year. The story of a life woven with the simple everyday and the intellectual richness of literary circles, universities, publishing houses and libraries in Europe and America, friendships with writers, poets and artists. It is the story of a woman who knew how to be both “peasant” and “princess,” who knew how to speak, dream, and compose in Tyrolean dialect, Italian and English. The sugar maples at the entrance of the museum, a gift from her father/poet years before, symbolize Mary’s Dream, a dream that connects the lush rural world to that of literature and poetry.
