Gala Concert of the Original Tiroler Kaiserjägermusik at the Kursaal Merano The roots of the Kaiserjäger music date back to 1741, when military bands were employed for the first time. The official name “Kaiserjägermusik” was granted to the band on January 16, 1816, after Emperor Franz I issued a decree. The band’s history has been eventful: it was dissolved and re-established several times. On April 25, 1895, the former Tyrolean “Kaiser” Rifle Regiment was divided into four Kaiserjäger regiments, each of which received its own band. However, with the fall of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the Kaiserjäger bands also fell silent. In 1972, the Original Tiroler Kaiserjägermusik was revived by former military bandmaster Obstlt. Prof. Siegfried Somma. Since then, it has been recognized as a musical ambassador of Tyrol and has made a significant contribution to preserving Austria’s military-historical traditions. Under the direction of the new bandmaster Norbert Amon and with outstanding musicians from over 30 Tyrolean communities and in some cases even beyond the band has earned a special place in the local brass music scene and enjoys wide recognition far beyond the region. At 2:30 pm, a reflective service in honor of St. Nicholas will take place in the church. Afterwards, we’ll continue celebrating together at Raiffeisen Square: the brass ensemble of the music band Andreas Hofer St. Leonhard will provide festive Christmas tunes. St. Nicholas will arrive in a beautifully decorated carriage with his angels – bringing lovingly prepared gift bags for all the children. A magical afternoon for the whole family.

St Nicholas procession with little Krampuses in Lana. The idea of taking away the fear of Krampus from the youngest children in our village at an early age bore great fruit last year. St. Nicholas will parade through the Gries with his little entourage on 6 December and distribute his gifts to the children at the Thalerhof, from the Capuchin church in Lana at 5.00 pm.

Join us for the Nikolaus celebration on the beautifully decorated square! Children listen to the story of Saint Nicholas, may meet him in person, and celebrate Advent with songs and little surprises. A magical experience for the whole family.

A 100% live performance, no backing tracks – just pure energy, elegance, and passion. With a team of top musicians, we turn every event into an unforgettable experience that captivates audiences of all kinds.

The parade starts at 5 pm at Hotel Jager Hans, leads to the village square, and is musically accompanied by the Jugendkapelle Passeier (youth band of Passeiertal Valley). Along the way, children can meet St. Nicholas in person and take a souvenir photo. Once at the village square, St. Nicholas and his angels hand out gift bags, and everyone sings together. During the parade, food packages are collected for children in Moldova and Ukraine – a wonderful opportunity to spread joy. At the village square, the Catholic Family Association (KFS) of St. Martin/S. Martino provides warm drinks and sweet treats for a cozy gathering.

Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere! From 11 am, the Christmas market opens its doors, featuring around 20 exhibitors. In the afternoon, young and adult musical artists will enchant visitors with Christmas melodies: 1 pm: Bläsergruppe Moos (Brass Group of Moos/Moso) 2 pm: Music School Concert 3:30 pm: Alisa & Lea 5:30 pm: traditional procession of the illuminated Christmas tree with Nikolaus, angels, and Krampus, accompanied by alphorn players 6 pm: Bläsergruppe Walten (Brass Group of Walten/Valtina) 8 pm: FF Moos lottery draw 8:30 pm: Christmas concert with Michael Aster Food and drink are provided: warming drinks and home-made delicacies invite you to enjoy.

On Sunday, December 7, the church square in Pfelders/Plan will be transformed into a festive place full of pre-Christmas atmosphere. From 4 pm, the celebration begins with musical accompaniment by the Bohemain music of Pfelderer/Plan, whose Christmas melodies create a cozy atmosphere. At 5 pm, St. Nicholas arrives to greet the children. Around 6 pm, the spectacular performance by the "Spronser Tuifl" follows, whose “hellish” show will leave everyone amazed. Food and drinks are well provided – warm beverages, tasty snacks, and good company invite you to linger. The celebration is organized by AVS Pfelders/Plan with support from the youth of Pfelders/Plan, altar servers, and local farmers. Come and enjoy a festive Advent evening for young and old!

On December 6th, St. Nicholas will visit the pilgrimage church of Riffian/Rifiano.

Together with his little angels, he will hand out St. Nicholas gift bags to the children.

During the celebration, cheerful St. Nicholas songs will be sung.

Afterwards, the KFS Riffian will provide refreshments.
