8 and 9 November 2025 the Touriseum at Trauttmansdorff Castle will play host to Meran’s fifth Vintage Market. Trauttmansdorff Castle will for the whole weekend be devoted to the idea of “vintage”. From 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day, selected market stalls will be offering collectors and browsers high-quality antique accessories ranging from sunglasses to hatboxes. The retro atmosphere will be complemented with live music and dancing from bygone eras as well as many other highlights.

On November 9th, the Zmailerhof offers a special lunchtime experience. Whether on the sunny terrace with its breathtaking views or in the cozy dining room, you’ll enjoy exquisite game dishes. South Tyrol's winegrowers are known as unconventional thinkers who boldly took new and creative paths and thus built up one of the best winegrowing regions in Italy. As part of this year's Gourmet Autumn Naturns a number of winegrowers and cellar masters will be presenting their wineries and wine collections. (only in german and italian language) The farm, first mentioned in the 13th century as "Widum Baumannhof", once served the local parish with its large communal oven. Today, it stands for sustainable alpine farming and energy independence. From unfiltered apple juice – now award-winning – we moved on to traditional cider production. In 2012, climate change led us to experiment with wine at 1048 m altitude. Eleven grape varieties were tested, micro-vinified, and aged in amphorae and oak. Seven varieties remain, now grown and vinified as a field blend, fermented together in the old tradition. The result: mountain BIO wines full of character, freshness, and vibrant acidity – grown at 1048 meters.

The wines in this tasting evening come from high-altitude grape varieties from wine-growing areas all over Italy. GLASSIERHOF The term "GLASSIER", derived from the Latin word "CLAUSURA", was chiefly devoted to properties which, like the Glassierhof, were circumscribed from circular walls. The yard, edified in 1663 and since 9 generations in family property, is cultivated according to the organic farming principles (EWG 2092/91). In doing so, we take the line that quality has to be lived and breathed from the early start to finish, i.e. from cultivation to bottling. The beautiful novel Resto qui by Marco Balzano becomes a theatrical play with two characters and many more voices, brought to life by the bodies and mastery of Arianna Scommegna and Mattia Fabris: they are Trina and Erich, witnesses, victims, and, when necessary, even executioners. They are the witnesses of an entire community wiped out in the name of progress and a dam that was almost useless—except to erase the lives of some hundreds of families who had resisted everything, including the First and Second World Wars, changes of nationality, fascism, and forced choices. “Through a dramaturgical weave of narrated parts and dialogues, this yet another ugly chapter of Italian history unfolds. A simple, lean staging: as Melville would have written it, ancient and melancholic. A story of dirty hands and tenacity, anger, violence, and remorse. Sketches. The story of simple women and men who did not accept surrender and now—before the Tribunal of Humanity and for a daughter who is no longer there—relive their long and humiliating defeat,” writes Francesco Niccolini, author and director of the play. For the fourth time, the Höllenschlucht Krampus Lana are organizing their popular “Night of Hell”, now well known beyond South Tyrol’s borders. On November 22, 2025, the area around the Lana sports zone will once again be transformed into a fiery spectacle. Starting at 5:00 PM, 34 Krampus groups from across the Alpine region will parade from Lana South’s industrial zone to the sports field, where a thrilling show awaits. Along the route, food and drink stands will offer refreshments, and many local associations will support the event, including emergency services, the Lana music band, and youth and cultural groups. The evening will continue with an Aftershow Party featuring three stages: live music by “Firedrops”, DJs in the main tent, and an outdoor Après-Ski area — something for everyone!

This winter, we are excited to once again offer an exclusive ice skating course in collaboration with the talented figure skater Sara Furlan. With her many years of experience and passion for the sport, Sara will inspire you with the fun and beauty of ice skating. The courses are divided by age groups: Children aged 3–5: 16:00–17:00 Children aged 6 and older: 17:00–18:00 Sara recommends attending all the sessions to get the most out of the training. However, if you can only attend a single session, that is also possible. Christmas Celebration on December 20th: As a special highlight, Sara invites you to a small Christmas celebration on December 20th at 5PM. The children will have the opportunity to show their parents what they’ve learned. Afterwards, we will enjoy a festive drink together at the snack stand.

The Tyrolean Advent in the Castle will be taking place in the historic ambience of Tyrol Castle. Tyrol Castle provides an atmospheric backdrop for a genuine South Tyrolean Christmas experience. Local exhibitors will present traditional handicrafts such as felting, pottery, turning, spinning, braiding, dyeing and the production of ceramics or jewelry in the castle's rooms. There will be a well-balanced program of events for visitors every day during Advent in the Castle: whilst crackling fires make for a cozy atmosphere, food stands will offer traditional dishes, baked goods and drinks. The Christmas market will also be attended by choirs and music groups, and there will also be all kinds of entertainment for children.

The Capuchin Garden with the Sterntaler Christmas Market is already open from 10.00 a.m. on the first day of Advent - the official ceremonial opening takes place at 5.00 p.m.. A Christmas theatre performance will frame the festivities.
