The Deutschnonsberg Education Committee, in cooperation with the Proveis Rifle Company, is organizing an exhibition on the “Katakombenschule” in the Gampen Bunker.

A photographic project by Andrea Salvà that portrays a contemporary Alpine landscape: natural places that appear pristine, yet are in fact altered by human intervention. The exhibition title clearly echoes the song of little Mignon, the protagonist of Goethe’s Bildungsroman Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre, while at the same time recalling a visual quiz with prizes—“Kennst du deine Heimat? Conosci la tua Provincia?”—which the Cassa di Risparmio di Bolzano dedicated to students for two decades starting in the 1970s. Distributed in local schools, the booklet contained 18 photographic quizzes on a variety of subjects such as local culture, geography, and history. To engage with the bilingual term Heimat/Provincia, which carries different semantic nuances, Salvà—an artist from South Tyrol—turns to the Land of Goethe’s Grand Tour to visually depict the landscapes of his birthplace. The photographic exhibition is part of the 21st Day of Contemporary Art, promoted by AMACI. Free entry.

History, Traditions and Wine Culture During this personal tour with wine connoisseur and host Walter, you'll gain fascinating insights into the history and traditions of winemaking in the Burggrafenamt region. As the name suggests, this visit is an experience for all the senses, with many varied highlights to explore at the Rochelehof adventure cellar. Gardener Judith loves to show them off at their finest in attractive plant pots. In this workshop, she will be showing you how to arrange natural materials and succulent plants to create a desert oasis-style landscape within a bowl. Succulent bowls make a fabulous design feature for every home. Please bring: one or two small clay or ceramic bowls with a diameter of approx. 30 cm. Additionally: Gloves and a pruning shears. The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle will supply all other materials.

Was übrig bleibt - what remains. This performance from the Off-road collective focuses on the role water plays in the current climate crisis. Water represents our needs, pleasures and conflicts in equal measure. It condenses the dramatic reality of global warming, and at the same time reveals the contradictions typical of human behaviour. Performed in public spaces, the event takes place in four distinct stations giving the audience a 360° experience of what is portrayed. Was übrig bleibt is a meaningful artistic manifesto denouncing our individual and collective attitude towards a precious and increasingly scarce natural resource.

South Tyrolean wineries will be presenting their finest wines above the rooftops of Merano, along the Tappeiner Trail with its sweeping views of the entire Etschtal Valley. Prices: the Merano Wine Promenade has its own special currency: corks. The special corks and glasses are available from a clearly marked stand on the Merano Wine Promenade. Culinary delicacies, specially prepared to go with the wines, will be available from the Restaurant Saxifraga on the Meran wine promenade (hot food available all day).

The Center for Contemporary Photography 00A is organizing, on the occasion of the Twenty-First Day of Contemporary Art promoted by Amaci, an afternoon dedicated to the dissemination of contemporary photographic culture. The event will feature the presentation of the book “Il Diritto della Fotografia. Casi e Questioni” (Seipersei, 2025) by Cristina Manasse, in conversation with 00A curator Carla Cardinaletti, followed by a workshop led by the author herself, a lawyer specializing in art and photography law and intellectual property. The workshop, free of charge, is open not only to professionals in the field but also to anyone interested in exploring the ongoing transformations in the world of images, guided by the expertise, vision, and passion of lawyer Cristina Manasse. The event “PHOTOGRAPHY: Rights and Conflicts” is part of the broader project “Analogue Attitude” by 00A, curated by Carla Cardinaletti: a transdisciplinary reflection on the photographic medium in preparation for the bicentennial of the invention of photography. *IEUG-h is an invitation on the part of Claudia Tomasi to join her on a walk involving performance, dance and hiking. The destination is Monte S. Vigilio, and following various guided activities lasting a few hours there will be an overnight stay at Gasthof Jocher. Sunset and dawn will be the background for the different stages of the event, which will take place in a number of locations, such that dance and movement become part of a dialogue between the participants and their surroundings, heightening individual awareness of landscape, transition, breath and step. As walking becomes a form of dance, people will lose their perception of regulated time and instead immerse themselves in a dimension that appears to be suspended between day and night, inspiration and expiration, wakefulness and dream. Programm: Collective departure by cable car to Rio Lagundo. Around 4 hours walking in various stages with stops for listening, active participation or observation. Around 17.00, arrival and settling in at Gasthof Jocher. Twilight session, dinner and evening activity. Dawn session the next morning followed by shared breakfast. Independent departure. Every first Saturday of the month, musicians from all over the valley come together in Martinerhof's Brauhaus to make music and celebrate together. Anyone who is in a good mood, plays an instrument or is in good voice can join in.

Autumn Festival of the Algund Music Band On Sunday, October 5th, the Algund Music Band once again invites you to its traditional Autumn Festival. Starting at 11 a.m., guests can look forward to a festive atmosphere, culinary delights, and lively entertainment. This year’s musical program features three ensembles: the Algund Youth Band, the Kalmtal Böhmische, and “Fetzmusig” – a brass formation from the Burgraviato, active for more than 20 years and including members of the Algund Music Band. The culinary highlights will be provided by the Kienegg Inn in Vellau, renowned for its excellent cuisine. Fine wines from the Schloss Plars Winery will also be served. The festival continues into the early evening hours, and the Algund Music Band looks forward to welcoming many visitors!

Admission is free – take the opportunity to enjoy the music in a relaxed atmosphere. The event is organized by the Merano Tourist Office and provides a wonderful way to enrich your day culturally. We look forward to your attendance!

On Sunday, October 5, from 10:00 to 18:00, the traditional "Törggelen" festivity of the Marling folk dance group will take place on the Marling fairground. Food and drink will be provided. The morning pint starts at 10 a.m. Hearty traditional Törggelen with delicious roasted chestnuts and a glass of sweet wine are served from midday onwards. A youth band and a music group will provide atmospheric entertainment. You can look forward to a convivial Törggelen afternoon. The Marling folk dance group is looking forward to seeing you!

Founded in Alto Adige in 2005, Alps Move is a dance theatre festival that has developed in close relationship with the Alto Adige Dance Collective. Its aim is to host and promote the local contemporary dance and experimental theatre scene. Each year Alps Move stages shows and performances created by choreographers and dancers originally from Alto Adige, many of whom now pursue their careers further afield. ÉTAT SAUVAGE Francesca Ziviani_IT/FR État Sauvage is a contemporary dance performance that aims to awaken our bodily and spiritual memories. The space where the show takes place becomes a resonance field that expands every movement and vibration, transforming the experience into something deeply shared.

The music band of St. Martin invites you to the traditional Törggele Festival. At the same time, we celebrate 30 years of the Bohemaian music "Hochwilde Böhmische". During the approximately three-hour hike with a moderate altitude difference of about 250 meters, you will explore the breathtaking landscape around Naturno. Our guides will lead you to the viewpoints from which you can admire the picturesque surroundings. Learn more about the famous Waalwege, the characteristic irrigation channels that crisscross the region and play an important role in its history. In addition, our guides will also show you sights such as castles and churches. Immerse yourself in the fascinating architecture and history of these buildings and learn more about their importance for Naturno. Of course, apple growing, which is closely linked to the region, should not be missed. Learn more about the cultivation of apples and the importance of this fruit for the economy and culture of Naturno. You may even have the opportunity to taste the delicious apples that thrive here. ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Holznerhof. We take the bus from the village centre of Schenna up to Verdins and hike via the Wieser Steig through the Vallplatz forest to the Holznerhof and after a cosy stop we descend to the Pichler restaurant. From the starting point you are free to decide whether to return on foot or by bus. A Törggelemenü and hearty music are of course not to be missed! A hiking adventure to discover South Tyrol's mountains and get to know this unique, enchanting, panoramic world better. Registration required in the tourist information office by 5 pm on the previous day. Limited number of participants.

The starting point is Weißbrunn at the far end of the Ultental Valley. We hike through larches and Zirmenwald forest high above the valley to the rear Flatschberg Alm. After a good rest, we descend to St. Gertraud. Altitude difference: Ascent 490 m, descent 600 m. Walking time: approx. 3.5 hours Difficulty: easy hike
