The Streicherakacemie Bozen was founded in 1987 by the South Tyrolean Music Association. The idea came from the ensemble's artistic director, violinist and professor at the Bolzano Conservatory, Georg Egger. The String Academy is mainly made up of South Tyrolean musicians who have a wealth of chamber music and orchestral experience in important ensembles at home and abroad and who pass on their experience to young musicians. The String Academy usually performs without a conductor. As some of the musicians are also members of the Klassische Philharmonie Stuttgart, a close collaboration has developed with conductor Frieder Bernius. In addition to the ensemble's summer concerts, the Streicherakademie is also regularly invited to important festivals and concert series such as the Salzburg Mozart Week, the Gustav Mahler Weeks in Toblach and the Engadine Festival Weeks. The ensemble's broad repertoire ranges from Bach, Handel, Zelenka, Schubert-Mahler "Death and the Maiden" and Mendelssohn to Britten, Bartók, Stravinsky, Schönberg, Schnebel and Stuppner. 40 YEARS OF THE MERANO HIGH MOUNTAIN TRAIL This impressive hike along the historic Merano High Mountain Trail is a journey through time on one of the oldest high-altitude trails in the Alps. Upon arrival at the Texelbahn cable car mountain station, breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Merano basin unfold. The historic trail, once an important connection between mountain farms, leads past original alpine farms and lush mountain meadows. Particularly captivating are the expansive views of the Ziel Valley and the surrounding peaks of the Texel Group Nature Park. A hike full of history, amusing anecdotes, and fascinating background information, accompanied by hiking and cultural guide Claudia Gilli. The LanAntiqua Festival, organised by the LanAntiqua Association, aims to give "early music", which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, its deserved place in the cultural life of Lana. This music, which is not limited to any epoch, covers the periods from the Middle Ages to Romanticism. The festival's highest maxim is: original sound, i.e. the performance of the music in an appropriate sound setting on instruments of the period and with the knowledge gained from the historical performance practice handed down in treatises. Thanks to imposing venues such as the church Maria Himmelfahrt in Niederlana with its impressive altar by Hans Schnatterpeck and its special acoustics, top-class concert enjoyment is pre-programmed.

Corpus Christi Celebration in Algund At 9:00 a.m., Solemn Corpus Christi Mass in the parish church of Algund, followed by a procession through the village. The event will conclude with a musical performance by the Algund Music Band and a flag show by the Algund Flag Throwers on the church square.

The artists in the exhibition explore the relationship between Europe and Abya Yala, also considering the relationship with the South Tyrolean context. The exhibition investigates ecological, economic and geopolitical issues, with a look also at handed-down agricultural knowledge and sustainable land use.

Augusto Zunin (Venezia) student Christine Kurzmann and her husband Jürgen will be presenting the latest jewellery creations with fascinating and sometimes rare opals and other precious stones as part of an appealing exhibition. For over 30 years, the passionately committed team has been combining the goldsmith's craft with artistic imagination. The result is perfectly shaped, vibrant, unique pieces full of harmony and visual lightness. With nature as a model, the flowing nature of the setting, which is carried out with an open flame, caresses the stone. At Kurzmann & Kurzmann, there are no contrived shapes, but lively, organic-looking designs with a strong expression of naturalness that emphasises this naturalness and gives the pieces their unique and unmistakable character. In an interview, Christine Kurzmann said: ‘With our jewellery treasures, we want to express a certain attitude to life that everyone would like to have: light, carefree, harmonious, multi-faceted. The enthusiasm we feel when creating our jewellery is perhaps the secret of the joy of life they are said to radiate.’ Jürgen Kurzmann has already attracted attention in specialist circles with his artefacts such as ‘Laurin’ and ‘The Key to Happiness’. His latest creation, a handbag made from a cocoa nut, horn and lapis lazuli, is currently causing a furore and can also be seen at the exhibition. Following exhibitions throughout Europe, we are delighted to be able to welcome the artist couple here. Let us inspire you too.

A welcome to you, dear guests, in the form of a tour through the village centre with folk songs, poems for reflection and humorous incidents from the Passeiertal Valley. The event will be in German.

A hiking adventure to discover South Tyrol's mountains and get to know this unique, enchanting, panoramic world better. Limited number of participants.

We start at the Gigglberg inn in Partschins, hike initially across alpine meadows, then through dense forest to the ‘Adlerhorst’ mountain hut and continue along a path through the Schindeltal valley. Now begins the somewhat steeper ascent over rocky terrain and finally over some boulders to the panoramic summit of the Ohrenknott. From here we can enjoy the marvellous panorama of the Dolomites, the Adige Valley and the Ortler massif. Take provisions with you! Our events combines music and enjoyment in the village centre. Visitors can also expect a tasting of alpine and mediterranean delicacies during a traditional concert by our local music bands.

Fancy some fresh mountain air and stunning views? Then join our hiking guide Heinrich – along a section of the Merano High Mountain Trail! After a short bus ride, our tour begins in Vernuer/Vernurio. From there, we head down the valley along the Merano High Mountain Trail – one of the region's most famous hiking routes. Along the way, we'll enjoy magnificent views of the Etschtal Valley and a diverse natural landscape. In the Kuensertal Valley, the trail continues along the Kuenser Waalweg. This peaceful and pleasant path winds through shady forest sections, accompanied by the gentle trickling of water – perfect for taking a deep breath and relaxing. Our return journey takes us back to Rifiano. Walking time: approx. 3,5 h | Difference in altitude: approx. 180 m ascent and 890 m descent The hike will be in German and Italian.

Summer evenings in Schenna: music & shopping. Stroll through the centre of the village after your evening meal, listen to music, browse in the shops and boutiques and buy some souvenirs to take home with you. In summer, contemporary and folk music bands fill the evening air with music in Schenna. Societies in Schenna also organise various forms of entertainment. Shop opening hours in the evenings: 8pm to 9:30pm.

Our events is entirely dedicated to the Tyrolean sounds of our local music bands. On some evenings, visitors can also enjoy performances by our traditional Bavarian folk dance, folk dance groups and the men's choir.

The VINO MIGLIA is being organised for the 15th time. 67 classic cars built between 1929 and 1985 will travel with the “ship of dreams on wheels” over 1,100 km and 3 countries (D/A/I) in the centre of Europe. The arrival on Thermenplatz is scheduled for Wednesday 25 June at 3.30 pm. On Friday, 27 June, there will be a short final lap of 65 km from Merano via Hafling, Vöran, Burgstall and back to Thermenplatz. The vehicles will arrive at Thermenplatz at around 1.30 pm. In the evening, the final banquet and award ceremony will take place at the Kurhaus in Merano.

Guided tour through the apple meadows in Tscherms (with reservation). Our farmer will guide you through their fields, explains you about the healthy ingredients, the production area and about all sorts and brands of the South Tyrolean apple. Gain insight into the secrets of the apple farmers - from the latest technology of today and the gnarled giants of the past. Afterwards, you can taste for yourself.

A variety of medicinal plants, wild, flowering and aromatic herbs thrive in the mountain herb garden at the "Wiesenhof" in Pawigl. During a guided tour of the show garden, you will learn how they are used and what effect they have on the human body. In addition to medicinal teas, tinctures and ointments, these valuable natural resources can be used to make tasty wild herb delicacies, which you can enjoy with the group after the tour. Experience the magic of dusk on the Hochmuth! Take the cable car to the mountain station, where a welcome aperitif awaits. The next highlight is on the terrace of the Hochmuth inn: a concert by the "Dorf Tiroler Jagdhornbläser". Finally, your hiking guide will take you along the night-time forest track back into the valley.

The Schenna Tourist Association and various local brass bands invite all guests and residents to a special concert at the Music Pavilion on Raiffeisen Square. This Thursday, the Band of St. Martin in Passeier will deliver unforgettable sounds and an exciting atmosphere.

Via Rotmoos this alpine path winds past pastures and huts of the Tallner Almen to the Mahdalm and from there we descend to Prenn, where the bus is waiting for us. On June 26th, the traditional apple festival of the South Tyrolean farmers' youth will once again take place on the town hall square in Naturno.
