After the medium-hard hike (900 metres in altitude difference), we will enjoy a hearty breakfast with many local and genuine products at the Kuhleiten Hut.

Approach into the Schnalstal Valley (ca. 1 hour) to the starting point in Vernagt/Vernago. The ascent is via Tisental Valley to the Similaunhütte refuge at 3,020 m. After a rest, the route continues over partly pathless boulder terrain to the discovery site, where a stone pyramid stands. Here you will find lots of information about how Ötzi was found. The descent follows the same route. Attention: Good physcial condition required! The hike will be in German and Italian. Walking time: approx. 9 h (there & back) | Difference in altitude: 1,500 m

The original South Tyrolean apple strudel is baked together with the farmer's wife of the 737-year-old Schildhof farm - with shortcrust pastry and without pine nuts. The ingredients, tricks and tips will be explained. A nut strudel made from yeast dough is also made together. While the strudels bake in the oven, we enjoy a vegetable strudel together, accompanied by fresh tomato salad from the garden. Finally, the dessert is served warm from the oven. The event will be in German.

The International Randonnèe Certificate, the ‘Tour d'Ortles’, stretches along one of the most fascinating Alpine cycle routes in Europe. The route encompasses the entire area of the Stelvio National Park, where South Tyrol, Lombardy and Trentino meet and is a close encounter with the icy colossi of Ortles and Cevedale.

In July and August, Dorf Tirol's shops open their doors every Monday evening from 8 until 10 pm for night-time shopping overlooking the roofs and lights of Meran. Your night-time shopping trip will be accompanied by a colourful surrounding programme of events for young and old, musical entertainment and all kinds of delicious treats from local kitchens and wine cellars.

On Wednesday, July 9th, the Marling whip-crackers invite you to their traditional summer festival at the fairground in Marling! Starting at 6 PM, enjoy an evening full of delicious food and good company. You can enjoy grilled specialties, sweet delicacies and a wine and schnapps stand awaits you.
