A hiking adventure to discover South Tyrol's mountains and get to know this unique, enchanting, panoramic world better. Limited number of participants.

From the Gigglhirn in St. Walburg/Ultental, we hike along an ascending forest path, accompanied by the rushing of the Wildbach stream, to the Marschnellalm, the highest alpine pasture in the valley. We then hike briefly over steep mountain meadows and a short, easy ridge to reach the Peilstein with its impressive panoramic view of the Ulten mountains. For decades, a Holy Mass has been held on the 5th of August in Merano 2000 in honour of St Oswald, the patron saint of cattle and herds. The procession will also take place again. Afterwards, live musicians are playing at the mountain hut Kuhleitenhütte and at the hut Kirchsteiger Alm.

Would you like to learn more about the crunchy all-rounder apple? Then a guided apple tour through the orchards is just the thing for you. Our fruit farmer will accompany you and tell you everything you need to know about this diverse fruit. As a culinary conclusion, you can expect a tasting of delicious apples and apple juice. The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

Also on the agenda are visits to the mausoleum, old and new Parish Churches and St. Martin’s Chapel. This is then followed by a tour of Schenna Castle for anyone who would like to take part.

Our events is entirely dedicated to the Tyrolean sounds of our local music bands. In addition, visitors can also expect performances by our local Bavarian folk dance and folk dance groups on some evenings.

Sonia, a passionate pastry chef from Postal, invites you into her pastry shop. You can watch her at work and give her a hand in the production of homemade ice cream. Sugar and eggs, milk and cream, fruit and flavourings are ready to be transformed into the most delicious of summer creations. With exquisite marzipan, you can shape simple figures. The preparation of filled biscuits concludes your afternoon in Sonia's pastry shop. And as a reward, there's a scoop of your favourite ice cream to enjoy. Stroll through the centre of the village after your evening meal, listen to music, browse in the shops and boutiques and buy some souvenirs to take home with you. In summer, contemporary and folk music bands fill the evening air with music in Schenna. Societies in Schenna also organise various forms of entertainment. Guided sound bath meditation at sunset Experience a unique sound journey in the open air! As the sun sets behind the mountains, the gentle sounds of singing bowls, gongs and koshis from Daniela Alber will accompany you on a meditative journey to inner peace and harmony. The combination of soothing sounds and the natural surroundings helps to relax the mind and reduce stress. After the meditation, you can round off the evening with with an aperitif in this ambience. The meeting point is at the top of the Knottnkino, on the Rotstein Knott.

Live music evenings in the open air: this year, the popular concert series will once again take place on the Piazza Burggräfler in Naturno.

Did you know that wild plants are bursting with vitamins and minerals? On a short hike with herbalist Rosi, learn what wild herbs are all about and collect a wide variety of seasonal herbs, which are then creatively processed in a workshop. The guided tour will be in German

The Schenna Tourist Association and various local brass bands invite all guests and residents to a special concert at the Music Pavilion on Raiffeisen Square. This Thursday, the Band of Klausen will deliver unforgettable sounds and an exciting atmosphere.

Approach to the parking space in Tall/Talle. Ascent with the Hirzer cable car from the middle station to Klammeben. Ascent on the hiking trail E5 to the Hirzerscharte and continue on trail no. 7 to the highest peak in the Sarntal Alps. Views over the Ortler, Ötztal and Stubai Alps. The descent is via the Gompm Alm hut to Tall/Talle to the parking space. On 10 August, the village centre of Plaus will be transformed into a gourmet paradise: laugh, eat, drink, relax and discover creative artisans together. The foodfestival promises enjoyable experiences for the whole family!

Every year in August, a particularly large number of shooting stars flit across the night sky. From 11 to 147th of August, the so-called "Perseids" reach their peak this year. This is also the case on Tuesday, 12th August and the Knottnkino cinema in Vöran is the ideal place to keep an eye out for the "lucky charms". Bring a picnic blanket, listen to pleasant sounds and enjoy some tasty snacks ... Members of the South Tyrolean amateur astronomers "Max Valier" will also be there, with telescopes and interesting stories to tell about the night sky. Photographs and videos may be taken at the event for the purpose of documenting and promoting the event and the area. The recordings may be used and published on websites, in social networks and in the media in compliance with data protection regulations.

We start in the beautiful mountain village of Pfelders in Val Passiria/Passeiertal and hike on a somewhat steep path over serpentines to the rustic Schneidalm (approx. 1 ½ hours), always with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. We spend our lunch break here and enjoy the peace and quiet. We then hike along the Lazinser Steig into the valley and descend comfortably to Lazins and back to the starting point via Zeppichl. Altitude: approx. 540 m Walking time: 3.5-4 hours Difficulty: difficult

On Wednesday, 17 August, starting at 17:00, the traditional church consecration festival will take place at the old parish church in Algund village. In addition to music, food and drink, locals and guests can also try their luck at the pot luck. The Algund Volunteer Fire Brigade looks forward to seeing you there.
