The Kellerei Meran invites you to an exclusive wine tasting at the house of culture Thalguter in Algund on October 17th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. An experienced sommelier from the "Kellerei Meran" will present the finest wines and guide you through the tasting. The Kellerei Meran is deeply rooted in our region. Tradition, landscape, and viticulture have always been closely intertwined in the Merano area. The foundation of the "Kellerei Meran" was laid back in 1901 by a few dedicated vintners. Today, following the merger of the "Burggräfler Kellerei" and the "Weinkellerei Meran" in 2010, the cooperative boasts 360 members. In the glass, the origin and provenance of the grapes must be perceptible. The wine should stay true to its "roots" and represent transparency, character, and authenticity. Each bottle thus becomes a special experience. Many of the Algund vintners are members of the "Kellerei Meran" and make a significant contribution to these aromatic wines. If you have admired the beautiful vineyards in Algund, you can now savor them in a fine wine. Come by, raise a toast, and experience the Merano-Algund harmony in wine.

The Cory Band, from the Rhondda Valley in South Wales, UK, is a world-renowned brass band celebrated for its extraordinary performances. As a multiple Grand Slam champion, the Cory Band has won many prestigious competition titles including the European, British Open, National Championships of Great Britain, and Brass in Concert making it one of the most successful contesting bands of the 21st century. For 16 consecutive years, from 2007 to 2023, the band held the coveted 1 spot in the world rankings. In 2016, Cory became the first band in history to win all four major titles National, Open, European, and Brass in Concert in a single year, securing its place in the history books. Remarkably, they repeated this feat in 2019. Originally founded in 1884 under the name Ton Temperance, the band was renamed Cory in 1895 after receiving financial support from Sir Clifford Cory, a local colliery owner. Since 2012, the band has been under the musical direction of Philip Harper, achieving further success with numerous wins at European, National, British Open, and Brass in Concert events. The Cory Band has also toured extensively, performing in Australia, the USA, and South Korea, and was the inaugural winner of S4C’s Band Cymru TV competition. Already in the late 13th century, Sinich was first mentioned in documents as "ze Ursinie" and in 1350 as "von der Sini". However, Sinich only grew to its current size as a result of the fascist settlement policies of the 1920s. The former swamp area had to be drained by the ONC, the Opera Nazionale Combattenti, before they could build the Montecatini fertilizer factory and new stilted farmhouses. On this architectural walk, we explore Sinich through its various development phases, from the "Borgo Vittoria" and typical residential buildings to works by well-known architects such as Abram & Schnabl, up to the present day.

The KBLG-Tanzlmusig – the Krebsbocher Lettngurgler from Lana in South Tyrol – stands for authentic traditional dance music, performed with passion and musical excellence. The biggest event of the musical year is the spring concert, which takes place every year on the first Sunday in March in the Kursaal in Merano. The band also plays several concerts in and outside Lana every year and takes part in numerous church celebrations. Several musicians play together in one of the two Bohemian bands or in other smaller groups. Youth work is one of the most important tasks for a music band today. A lot of attention is therefore paid to recruiting new musicians and looking after the young musicians. Martin Knoll has been the leader of the Bürgerkapel-le Lana since 2007. Andreas Benedikter, born in 1981 in Brixen, received his first music lessons at the music school in Brixen. He then studied at the ‘C. Monteverdi’ Conservatory in Bolzano (recorder, piano, chamber music) and worked as a piano accompanist and instrumental teacher at the South Tyrolean Institute for Music Education. From 2009 to 2015 he lived and worked in Innsbruck, where he was a piano teacher at PianoArt. He has been teaching at various music and secondary schools in South Tyrol since 2015 and has been the organist at the parish church in Unterinn since 2018. The LanAntiqua Festival, organised by the LanAntiqua Association, aims to give "early music", which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, its deserved place in the cultural life of Lana. This music, which is not limited to any epoch, covers the periods from the Middle Ages to Romanticism. The festival's highest maxim is: original sound, i.e. the performance of the music in an appropriate sound setting on instruments of the period and with the knowledge gained from the historical performance practice handed down in treatises. Thanks to imposing venues such as the church Maria Himmelfahrt in Niederlana with its impressive altar by Hans Schnatterpeck and its special acoustics, top-class concert enjoyment is pre-programmed.
