A tradition among South Tyrolean farmers: fired apple “kiachln”. Simple, juicy and breathtakingly good. At the Christmas Market they will be prepared and sold on the stage by the children's charity "Kiwanis Club Brixen". The donations go to needy Eisacktal families.

At the crafts market "Kreativmarktl Algund" you will find candles, jewellery, clocks, bags and wallets, greeting cards, ceramic and porcelain items, gnomes, textiles, crocheted items, decorative items made of wood, paper, felt and concrete, special items for wine lovers, flower arrangements made of natural materials and many more original, unique crafts. In the evening, the snow-covered landscape of wintertime Deutschnofen has a magic all its own. On Saturday, 12/16/2023 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., one of the most traditional farms of San Genesio will open its doors to visitors. A cosy get-together with insight into everyday life of the farm. A group of people from Ukraine will be cooking Borschtsch on the two Saturdays. This is a traditional Ukrainian vegetable soup made from potatoes, cabbage, carrots, onions, parsley, dill and turnips. The peasant dark red soup is served with pampushki, a bread with garlic and dill. The donations collected benefit children in Ukraine.
