Elisabeth, from the Eichernhof farm in Vöran, has the right skills and will be happy to share her knowledge with you. Together we will prepare delicious dumplings in the traditional way. Scenic hikes along the ancient Waalwege accompanied by Thomas, our local guide, as he walks you through the ingenious centuries-old hillside irrigation system. Passing through the orchards you reach the vineyards of the Lehengut Wine Estate. Premium South Tyrolean wines include Pinot Blanc Riesling, supplemented with special local varietals such as Sauvignon Gris. A small surprise lies awaiting at the end.

The hike starts at the village square in Lajen/Laion. From here you walk together with the hiking guide Helmuth via Fonteklaus to Freins. Arrived at Petra's Honey Hut you come to the first tasting. Different honey variations are tasted and different products are discovered. All are self-produced and processed. Now it goes back to Fonteklaus where lunch is already waiting. After lunch we continue to Lusenegg where the taxi will take us to Novale/Ried. Here is the second stop - jam. At the Zinegg farm there is a wide variety of jams to taste. Erika and Elisabeth from Eichernhof in Vöran provide insights into the colorful and fragrant world of wild and garden herbs. With their extensive knowledge of herbs, they explain how to safely identify spring and summer herbs and how to harness the power of plants in cooking, health, and skincare. ONLY IN GERMAN OR ITALIAN Niedereben Farm is situated at an altitude of 634 metres on Nörderberg mountain. Benefiting from the advantageous climate, olives, grapes and cacti all flourish here. The Hofer family supplies the local organic specialist retailer (Biokistl) with its fruit and vegetables and sells a variety of home produced, typical South Tyrolean organic products in their own farm shop. Cows, pigs, quails, ducks, geese and chickens all feel like “pigs in clover” on the farm! This introduction to the long history of the farm gives visitors an insight into livestock husbandry and wine growing on the Vinschgau’s Nörderberg mountain and shows the route taken from the first olives to the production of the farm’s own olive oil. The following products are available to buy directly from the farm shop: speck (bacon), salami, smoked sausages, cooked herb-crusted ham, Coppa ham, farmer’s speck, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and in the autumn months chestnuts and pumpkins, apple juice and Vernatsch wine.

During sharing of knowledge with our herbal educator, Brigitta Patzleiner, we will discover all kinds of useful and fascinating facts about the application and use of various wild herbs. Our forefathers used their knowledge of the healing power of plants for prevention and healing. Now we have an opportunity to get our hands on them and, for example, make a soothing salve from comfrey, mix a delicious herbal shampoo, or whip up an ingenious herbal liqueur to suit our own tastes.

Relive the essence of wine! The authentic oenological and sensorial experience takes place in the newly created wing of Cantina Kurtatsch. You will learn insightful and interesting facts about the importance of the terroir, the variety of the sites and the unique wines of Cantina Kurtatsch. Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Meran/Merano! This apple tour of Merano's fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple experts and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple. Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session. Registration for participation at the tourist office Marlengo, until monday, 4 p.m. Price 4 € per person. Our guide only speaks german and italian.

Fresh vegetables and fruits, eggs, spices, cheese, honey, wine, juice….and many more quality products cultivated and produced in Kaltern are being sold from 8 am to noon on the Square of the town. Come by and experience the taste of nature. All these products have been produced and are being sold by the local farmers themselves. In a matter of fact South Tyrol enjoys of a very good reputation as far as the production of quality products is concerned. Thanks to the accurate cultivation methods and the strict hygenic regulations there is no doubt that these goods are of the highest quality and of the best taste.

The Franz Gojer winery is a small family business whose history begins in the heart of the traditional St. Magdalen wine-growing area on the northern sides of Bolzano. In 2007, the family bought a second farm in Karneid in order to also offer white wine in the assortment. A large cellar was also built in Karneid, where all the production of the wines now takes place, as well as an architecturally interesting tasting room. During a wine tasting, you will learn more about the history of the Gojer family as well as their work throughout the year and taste the wines full of character, which unmistakably demonstrate their origin. We would like to introduce you in the historical wine-production area Alto Adige and take you behind the scenes of Kellerei Bozen with its must-see architectural highlights. You'll visit one of our vineyards (weather permitting) before being taken through the winery to see the wine-making process.
